An amazing stay. Service was excellent - in particular Hugo and Abigail stepped in when one of our party was ill, contacting a doctor and the local hospital on our behalf. The villa we stayed in was spectacular, with an infinity pool for the villa area. Food was outstanding as were the wines.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing for the views of the surrounding region. The infinity pool overlooking the Simonsberg mountain will blow you away. It's a winery, and they provide you with a complimentary bottle. All of the snacks in the mini fridge are complimentary. Heated floors, heated towel rack, and automatic lights in the bathroom were over the top! The food is just wonderful. There are 3 other wineries within walking distance, or take a tour, they'll drive you by golf cart. A true delight for couples wanting to enjoy a romantic getaway in wine country!

Staff and facilities are superb. When checking in they gave you a choice of wine or soft drinks and some cheese and biscuits. They take your bags to the room. They have an on site restaurant which is a little limited, but with the number of guests it’s great that they now do this, so you can have an evening meal without having to going out. This is a boutique hotel where the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Sheldon and all the other staff are just amazing. The rooms are a good size and the bed was really comfortable, the infinity pool is lovely and the views are spectacular. We had an early check out before breakfast service and they sent us off with a huge breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, croissants, muffins, sandwiches and drinks. Typical of the attention to service that you get at Clouds Estate. Just a fantastic stay!!!

The perfect venue for a much needed weekend breakaway! Both venue and staff attention to detail was imaculate, from heated bathroom floors to Craig bringing us hot water bottles with our room service. Views are breathtaking, surroundings are peaceful and quiet such that you can listen to the trickle of the pool and sounds of many birds. We just loved relaxing on our deck, in the jacuzzi and next to the pool. Everything was just perfect. Thank you.

What a beautiful place to relax! The views are amazing and it's very peaceful. The villa we stayed at is spacious with a large terrace. The villas share a pool, located beautifully and so comfortable with great loungers. The restaurant has the same gorgeous view and the food is great. The great thing is also that they have a gate directly to the Delaire-Graff estate for wine tasting, dinner. They have a fantastic restaurant.

This is a delightful small hotel. Our room was so comfortable, spacious and clean, with a stunning deck looking to Table Mountain in the distance. The infinity pool was wonderful to cool down, with a view of the lake. All staff were lovely, and the evening meal and breakfast were of high quality. I would return here whenever in the Stellenbosch area

Nice place with amazing views. A beautiful manor with a few rooms, nice seating areas, lovely and playful interior, a fully equiped kitchen and and a garden with a swimming pool where you can sit or lay in the sun. It all exceeded our expectations. Only a few minutes away from Stellenbosch and Fransschoek.

Superb house and view. Very large room and bed. Great sleep. Pool setting is one of the best I had experienced.

We stayed overnight for a wedding so our stay was brief but it served our purpose well. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Bed very comfortable, room and bathroom clean and spacious with fantastic views. (We stayed in the Protea Suite)

Pool area a little small. Very disappointed that during our stay the pool was closed one afternoon to host a private party.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in ! The most amazing service from every single person - completely unprompted and above snd beyond- and so friendly. The three restaurants are all lovely- sushi at the spa delicious. Enjoyed the personal wine tasting and just relaxing by the very quiet pool. The highlight of our trip. Thank you.

Lanzerac is a lovely hotel just outside Stellenbosch. It's big and impressive in terms of layout and facilities whilst holding on to old- world authenticity. Three or four restaurants, two pools, a big modern spa and some lovely views. We had a suite which was old fashioned terms of decor but spacious and very comfortable. Staff universally attentive. our only issue was the quality of the cuisine. Each night we eat, food went back; it simply wasn't good enough. In each case horribly overcooked meat. That being said, we really enjoyed the whole Lanzerac experience and will probably return.

Of all the hotels we stayed in South Africa, this was the best, and at half the cost of Cape Town Mount Nelson which this preceded. We had a gorgeous sweet with high ceiling, vast terrace, shared pool with just one other suite and stunning views of the estate vineyards. Service was exceptional and very friendly, food was best we had in SA and I could have spent forever in the vast, super comfy bed. Our only regret was we didn't stay more than two nights. A beautiful property.

Friendly staff. Tashriq was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. He offered a range of recommendations which were welcomed. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Our room was so spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Parking on site. Thé property is just outside the main square but a easy walk in. Breakfast was tasty. there was a little buffet then you could order a hot breakfast. Nice pool area.

Lovely hotel. Very relaxing and staff are very helpful and courteous. Linden, the manager was happy to advise us on good places to visit and excellent restaurants. Our room had a large very comfortable bed and the huge bathroom had a large bath and separate shower. The pool area is comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A lovely relaxed boutique hotel, far enough out of the town to be peaceful and to park the car, but close enough to walk in 15 minutes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable (although a few more plug sockets and a desk/table would be great). Breakfast is a delight, half buffet, half served – always well presented by lovely helpful staff. Sun loungers are fine, but really need a few more as there are only four for eight nine rooms. Pool is lovely – or rather will be when the filter is fixed!

My husband and I stayed at Coopmanhuijs during our August 2016 honeymoon and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. Our room was beautiful, overlooking the courtyard and pool. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. All employees were warm, welcoming and eager to provide recommendations, make reservations on our behalf and assist in anyway possible to make our honeymoon enjoyable. The location is perfect, the staff friendly, the breakfast amazing and the room exceptional. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay.

Spacious room and very spacious bathroom in a charming property with an old-style Cape feel and decor, but modern amenities. Quiet, despite the central Stellenbosch location on a popular restaurants & shopping street. Helena's restaurant is a gem and the pool side area, although small, a delightful place to sit with plenty of shade. Staff were very helpful with things like parking my friends' car while we had lunch on arrival.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the middle of town with an amazing breakfast and super friendly really good service. We had a room with balcony which I also recommend. The mornings and afternoons are great there. We also enjoyed some time away from the busy streets of Stellenbosch relaqing on sun beds by the pool. The hotel restaurant, Helena's, is also worth a try, one of the really good once in town.

My wife and i stayed here on last part of our tour of South Africa and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Hotel is in good location with shops and bars on doorstep,it also has a small pool and spa .

Delicious food, great service, Muzi was exceptional. Definitely recommend you check this place out if you are in the area. Ate outside by the pool and the atmosphere was perfect for a couple. Service was spot on and attentive, prices were very reasonable.

We stayed in Southern Sun de Wagen in March 22 and came back to this property for a reason. Its excellent. Thank you to Mellissa for warm welcome. This time we stayed in Luxury room which was situated outside of the courtyard as all the courtyard rooms were booked at the time i was making the booking. I have to say go for the courtyard room if you planning to stay. Luxury room is same as the others but you pay extra €40-€50 per night for having small fireplace in the room and a bath as well as shower. The fireplace is useless if you travelling in the summer time. Bath not worth the price..The restaurant, breakfast and dinners are fabulous and in beautiful setting. A special THANK YOU to waiting staff. Every single person who served us was magnificent! The only observation is they must work some crazy hours. Same person who served us till 11PM and cleaning after was there for 7AM breakfast serving

Great location, we love walking so it was close enough to the river walk and the downtown area. Very cozy and a nice warm atmosphere in the community area where they have an honor system for wine and other alcoholic and regular drinks. We only stayed one night but would definitely be back and stay longer. This is not the hotel if you want to have a view and spend time hanging out. That’s not its purpose.

This is a great location to stay with easy walk to Stellenbosch. The rooms are superb, beautifully furnished with a sumptuous bathroom. The breakfast is served in a beautiful restaurant by the river next door and the service and food were excellent.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is right in the centre of town yet tucked away in a beautiful little pocket so it's quiet. The breakfast in the great restaurant next door is outstanding as well. Highly recommended!

The room was lovely and big and had everything you needed. The bed was so comfortable and big. Breakfast was very nice and we sat outside in the sunshine. And everyone was super friendly.

A beautiful hotel in perfect location in the middle of Stellenbosch. Our room was amazing, we had a balcony too. All the facilities were wonderful - the pool, the bar area and the breakfast room. We were especially impressed by the wonderfully helpful and generous staff who went out of their way to give us recommendations and help us with all aspects of our stay.

Lovely old world hotel in the middle of town, which is where you want to be when visiting Stellenbosch. Close to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are a good size, we had a bath in ours which was great! Beautiful hotel, lovely cosy lounge area for a drink and to read a good book. The pool area is a bit small, but perfect under the huge old oak trees. We had dinner at the restaurant, the food was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.

It‘s such a lovely house, with different rooms, all nice and clean, with all the amenities needed, then there is a nice terrace (for breakfast) and pool and garden with lovely seating space. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The location perfect - restaurants, shops and starting point of a nice hike to Stellenbosch mountain, all in walking distance. I definitely recommend to stay at Bonne Esperance!

Another enjoyable visit to the Bonne Esperance, with a pleasant airy room near the pool. As usual the staff were friendly and helpful. Conveniently situated outside the town centre but within 5 minutes walk of the bars and restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit.

The location is perfect, I enjoyed how calm, peaceful & tranquil the property is. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great and so were the rooms. I was very satisficed & left happy after my little weekend stay, I will definitely go back in summer to make use of the pool.

Staying there was a good experience. Comfortable rooms, well maintained, good breakfast, friendly staff and excellent drinking water from the tap (increasingly rare). The adjacent street is easy to hear if you don't choose the back side. The pool was just okay only. Price-performance ratio is good and I would be happy to come back.

It is a lovely, friendly hotel with cute rooms, verandas, a small garden and various quiet spaces to relax. The bathroom was stunning with a great shower. The only negative was the plunge pool which was really dirty and full of leaves - a shame because the temperature was really hot and it would have great to cool off in the pool.

We are a couple and stayed in a double room located next to the pool. This was on the ground floor so no climbing of stairs needed. Also right next to the breakfast area. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet at night. Easy walking to all points of interest and we felt safe walking around the beautiful area. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and efficient.

Our second stay here. Hotel is a gem, beautiful facility, friendly staff, great location. We had a nice family room with a view of the pool and tree lined street. Very quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. We had a top floor room with a terrace overlooking the lake and vineyards - amazing view to wake up to, and huge starry sky at night. Room was large and well appointed. Staff efficient and helpful. We ate in the bistro rather than in the restaurant, and while my meal was lovely, my boyfriend's was disappointing. Breakfast on the restaurant terrace was great, and such a good view in the sunshine. The pool was also nice. We were given tickets to do complimentary wine tasting but unfortunately we ran out of time.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Camps Bay behind, we were instantly soothed by the scenic drive up to Asara. The estate's beautiful gardens and buildings are perfectly situated between the vineyards and the lake, offering breathtaking mountain views. Our spacious, newly renovated room was conveniently located near the clean pool and the excellent restaurant. We enjoyed delicious food and, of course, exquisite wine. This is true luxury – a place to exhale.

We stayed over for 4 nights as we had a wedding in Stellenbosch. The place is well located and is safe and secure. Not far from the Centre with restaurants and shops. We got Uber’s everyone but you can walk in to the Centre. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great and the staff went out there way to make us take away sandwiches after we missed breakfast one morning. Didn’t use the pool as we didn’t have time, but it looked clean. The guesthouse was peaceful and chilled out. We would definitely stay again!

The guest house is perfect! Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Fiona was very kind and helpful. The breakfast menu has plenty of options for everybudy. Pool and garden are also very well maintained and big enough for all guest to find a place to relax. It‘s about a 20 minutes walk to downtown Stellenbosch, the area is save and quiet.

We had a very pleasant welcome from reception and a buggy to take the bags to our room. The hotel and grounds are.very spacious with lovely gardens and interesting areas to explore. Despite being open to the public as a wine farm, it wasn’t at all crowded. The staff were very helpful and friendly, The main pool area was very attractive and there were smaller pools near to the rooms. The restaurant is in a tranquil setting and the food was good.

This is the perfect location for a relaxing break with children. The whole site is beautiful and calm, with lots to do for everyone. 3 year old was happily occupied with toys and grape juice while wine tasting. Lovely walks and bike rides. Great pool. The food was all exceptional. Kids club was one on one with the carer as so quiet and so well stocked with activities. Super comfortable and big bed, in huge room.

The facilities that are great is the pools for kids, course for adults. Lisa is incredible and such an asset to PVH. She always remembers us when we return and she is always welcoming and friendly. Everything was super nice and pittoreske. 2 pool areas so always space to relax at the pool. Staff was very friendly, and massage was super nice too!

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The facilities are good. It's a lovely boutique hotel with all the little niceties you would want, like the living room sofas by the fireplaces in winter. Nice touch. Breakfast was also very nice - freshly cooked and all the other options. They have a lovely courtyard and 2 swimming pool areas. Standard rooms are ok but a bit small. I would recommend booking a much larger and more comfortable superior room. Finally, the location is great. It's a 4-5 min walk into the middle of town (very safe) with loads of great bars and restaurants to choose from.

We could never get tired of The Country Guesthouse one of our all time favorite spots in Stellenbosch. Staff at reception always so friendly and welcoming, the room is spotless and very comfortable with an idyllic view of the mountain, walking through the vineyards, the breakfast a treat with staff at the restaurant who treat us like family, the swimming pool and always a perfect price.

Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on site was excellent. Delicous meals, friendly staff. Room no 10 was very spacious, besides the bedroom there was a lounge and terrace. Garden is beautiful, pool clean and fresh.

With many foreign tourists we enjoyed the added entertainment of a local minstrel band on NYE - even had one of the waitresses joining in to dance to the music. The spirit of Cape Town.

We made this reservation knowing we would be coming in from an exceptionally arduous sequence of flights. So we would be exhausted (that’s understating it). At the same time we didn’t want to stay in the bustle of Cape Town since it takes a couple days for us to adjust to driving on the left. Basically we wanted a place that was comfortable and a minor challenge to get to via a self-drive car. We absolutely could not have selected a better place than this. The flat is luxurious, sparkling clean and has a very modern kitchen. But that was just the start. The view, out over the unit’s pool, is utterly spectacular. Over the decades we’ve traveled all over South Africa and this view is genuinely one of the best we’ve ever had. During the day we could see False Bay and at night the lights of Somerset West twinkled under a canopy of stars with the planet Venus hovering brightly over the landscape. Really, it’s hard to conceive of a better entry into the Cape Region. Even the hostess was immediately attentive when required, and nowhere to be seen when not needed. Spectacular.

Our stay at Vrede Self-Catering in Somerset West was truly exceptional! Nestled within a peaceful ECO Estate, it perfectly combines tranquility, modern comfort, and top-tier security. The accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless, providing everything we needed for a relaxing retreat. The natural surroundings were stunning, offering a peaceful escape, yet it was conveniently located near local attractions and vineyards. What really stood out was the incredible value for money – we paid far more at other places during our trip and got much less. William, the manager, was fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay and offering great recommendations for the area. The check-in process was smooth and detailed, thanks to a thorough WhatsApp guide. I travelled alone and felt safe and secure in my room. The hotel is within walking distance from busy Dorp street and famous hang outs in Stellenbosch Central. Travelling via Uber was quite easy. Though I am not a fan of breakfast time I quite enjoyed the tasty breakfast. Breakfast is self-service in the cozy reception area and offers a variety of pastries, cold meats, some cheeses, some bread options, cereals, yoghurt and fruit and a choice of juices or coffee and tea. Overall staff were very friendly and helpful especially, Astee and Monique during my stay. Secure basement parking via car lift was available. Hotel Krige is the perfect acommodation if you don't like busy and crowded hotel lobbies but need modern and safe accommodation.

Breakfast was a Bonus. There's an efficient laundry service called Jeffs next to the hotel as well as a SPA across the road. Coffee lovers that Enjoy Plato Coffee is also situated across the road. Staff was amazing, very fast, efficient and friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located close to historic downtown, with shops and many good rstaurants nearby. A highlight of the hotel is the rooftop terrace with view at the surrounding mountains. The hotel interior is clean and modern, the room has a water kettle and a coffee machine, with a good assortment of tea and coffee available. My room had a proper desk of decent size, which is a definite plus if one has to do some work on the computer dusring the stay. Some may find the breakfast a little spartan, but quality has been consistently good throughout my stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, also flexible with storing luggage well beyond the ususal check-in/check-out times.

Hotel Krige is by far one of the most convenient and comfortable places that we have stayed in when visiting Stellenbosch. So much so that we've decided this would be the place we stay at in the future. Friendly staff, convenient parking, clean surroundings and easy check-in thanks to the Hotels.com app. I can highly recommend this hotel. I would however like to recommend that the breakfast service be upgraded to possibly include a hot breakfast (English breakfast).

The no frill hotel is clean, comfortable bed, modern bathroom with great shower pressure. Breakfast is simple but has all the basics. Good coffee but I prefer Plato coffee across the street . Like my cappuccino with soy milk! The staff is so helpful. Good parking .

There's an honesty bar with drinks to suit all tastes and the staff were super friendly. Hosts Leon & Luke couldn't have been nicer. Very easy drive to the wine areas, Stellenbosch and Franschoek and a choice of good restaurants in the area.

This was a beautiful property and Luke and Leon (the owners) and all the staff were very welcoming. The room was large and beautifully prepared with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. It opened out straight onto a terraced area with a view of pool and lovely gardens. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order and we were able to sit outside on the terrace for this. The honesty bar was well stocked and well priced. We had great recommendations for local vineyards and got Ubers easily to the places we wanted to visit. Would have love to have had longer and would happily stay here again!

Everything was just fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We had our own terrass just outside the room where we enjoyed the lovely breakfast and could relax in the afternoons. And it was just close to the beautiful pool area and the garden as well. Upon our request we could also enjoy a delicious three course dinner one evening. Turning of from the mainroad the entrance is already beautiful then once you enter via a gate the property, the garden is so nice and well maintained. Then you see the building, simply gorgeous, inside and out. The staff very friendly welcome. The pool area, breakfast, the 2 managers, Luke and Leon interacting with the guests it all made us feel special!

18 years of visiting SA and still stumble on a hidden Gem like this. Amazing room , stunning Breakfast and comfy sunbeds and Pool. All set in a stunning building in gorgeous grounds. The hosts are also fabulous and madevus so welcome.

It is located in a quiet street but it's actually just minutes on foot from the town's best restaurants, the university, shops and much else. The staff are exceptional and the rooms - at least the two that I saw - are spacious and very well appointed. The breakfast was very good. There is wifi, secure parking and a very inviting plunge pool. They don't offer dinner but with so many fine restaurants on your doorstep it hardly matters.

A lovely family run secure hotel in a quiet location off the Main Street. Nice to see the family being “hands on.”Very comfortable spacious bed room and bathroom with separate toilet. Good quality towels and bed linen. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Superb fresh breakfast with hot options. 2 small but perfect pools. Beautiful furnishings throughout. Perfectly located for our needs (the university, good restaurants, shops) and in a lovely neighbourhood. Exceptionally helpful staff. A very good breakfast and very generous free drinks. I didn't have time to try the pool but it looked inviting.

The check in and welcome were very friendly. The room was very spacious and beautiful. The bed was kingsize and very comfy. The garden and pool area are well kept. We were given pooltowels and help with connecting my pc to the wall plug. A delicious breakfast was served in a conservatory with views of the garden. The farm entrance is not tarred but fairly short and perfectly doable with a city car.

Peaceful and characterful place in attractive grounds. Staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Superb breakfasts with fresh fruit, "full English", yogurt, toast - the works. Nice touches in the room such as biscuits, bottled water and milk for tea/coffee. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Generator kicked in whenever (regular) power cuts occurred. The décor and some of the fittings in the bathroom were a bit faded, but somehow this blended well with the place and did not detract from its charm. The swimming pool area and gardens are superb

The breakfasts were probably the best we have had during our three weeks in SA. Fruit, yoghurts, cereals, hams and cheeses, plus cooked breakfast made to order - excellent. Despite the fact that it wasn't the most modern of rooms, our bedroom was large, light, clean and very comfortable with a large private terrace, making it a great place to base ourselves for a few days. Cookies in the room were a bonus! The grounds of the hotel are lovely too, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool.

This hotel is so lovely, we had a fabulous room off the courtyard. it had everything we needed. comfortable beds & pillows. Excellent walk in shower. We parked in the underground car park & were allowed to park a little early. All staff very friendly. Ate dinner in the restaurant which was exceptional. Breakfast had a fabulous choice & also delicious. Highly recommend.

Cute central hotel for stellenbosch. The staff were just so warm, friendly and kind; made us feel very welcome. The hotel has history and is in a good location if you want to be central to the bars, restaurants and shops. A tad dated; ready for a refresh, but very clean and perfectly comfortable; slept well. Would stay here again.

Amazing staff. We had the master suite, part of the old estate. Overlooking the pool and valley. Amazing views. Serene and chill days by the pool. Easy to go for excursions if you have a car; 10-20min to a lot of options. The old restaurant has burnt down and been moved up to the main building. It suffer a bit because it is a very small kitchen, but it sounds like they have plans to expand. Very generous, allowed us to try wines and explained a lot. Would sit with us and share. Felt very homely & friendly.

Our room ( the honeymoon hut )is in the middle of the vineyard, and provided a secluded and peaceful location. Its a couple of hundred metres from the shared pool, and a further few hundred metres to walk to the main building for breakfast / wine tasting. But if you're lazy it's a 2 minute drive ! All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, and the wine tasting was good fun and v reasonably priced. Breakfast was ample, with a good choice of options.

When we arrived at the property the staff 'upgraded' us to a different room as the room we initially booked was small and far from buzz of the estate. The room had its own deck, which made it perfect for a morning cup of coffee and chat. The room was well stocked and had all the amenities, we particularly enjoyed the wine in our room even though we didn't make it for the wine tasting, which was included in our stay. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety to choose from. Though we didn't swim the pool had the perfect background for social media photos.

It was perfect from the welcome to the accommodation and everything else. It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay with amazing food, wine and staff. The room we had was in the Manor house, and it was just amazing. It was spacious and comfortable with a short walk to a lovely pool area overlooking the vines. Possibly one of the best places I have ever stayed.

The rooms vary a lot, some are excellent, some are not so good. Great staff. We have now stayed in 3 rooms during 2 holidays. We loved the room in the L'Ermitage, very roomy and comfortable. Only disadvantage was you had to have breakfast in that area and not at the top of the hill main restaurant which would have been better. We loved the Pool Room, lovely views. We thought we would like the Manor House room but did not like it much and very hot during the power cut.

Banhoek lodge is a small but lovely lodge in an extremely beautiful setting. The outlook onto the mountains and vineyards was a real highlight. Pool area nice although sadly does not overlook the amazing view which would make it even better. reception staff very helpful in booking taxis and giving general advice. We had a lovely 3 night stay here!

This was our second stay from 7 years ago. The staff were great, the breakfast was very good with varied continental choices every day and warm options to order. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, loved the bath towel warmers and heated bathroom floors, also nice to have the fireplace in the winter. Fantastic views over the vineyards. Great location with walking routes to at least 6 different wineries. Could walk to dinner at Zorgvliet (3 dining room options), Le Pommier, and Tokara before dark with Uber back home. Hiking options aside from the vineyard walking route. We hiked at the Banhoek Conservancy (Old Bethlehem homestead), free access and pretty safe to park - 2 attendants at the gate. We hiked there twice as there are numerous trails (not well signposted but they crisscross all over so you cannot get lost), saw lots of birds, Oryx and heard the baboons but did not encounter them (we were assured no dangerous animals). Lots of locals collecting firewood since it is winter and they are all friendly especially the kids love to say hello. Peaceful stay for 5 days of hiking, wining and relaxing. If you do not want to leave for dinner they will make you cheese, fruit, charcuterie platters and sandwiches. Very well stocked minibar. Highly recommend the Junior Suite with Mountain Views at the back of the house, less road noise and large patio for warmer weather than we had!

Loved my stay at this lodge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself is located in a quiet picturesque region with spectacular mountain views. The rooms are well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The addition of a fire place in the room was awesome as the nights were cold. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the wait staff ensured you had a great start to your day. We found the location pretty central to everything and the parking was safe and secure. Would highly recommend.

The location of the hotel is incredible- stunning views of the mountains and vineyards with a very restful, peaceful atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast served was delicious although it might have been nice to have a slightly larger selection of options such as some pastries. However it is a cozy hotel with only several rooms so I do understand not wanting to waste food by having a huge buffet for only a select number of guests. The cooked breakfast was excellent and the fruits and cold foods that were available from the buffet were lovely.

This is without a doubt the BEST place we stayed on our trip. Hotel is beautiful, the view from every room is breathtaking, the place is clean, warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent and above all was the staff, friendly, attentive went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and have an unforgettable vacation. This is a MUST if you are looking for a place to stay in the area. Stay for more than 1 night, 1 doesn’t feel like enough, you’ll be sad to leave as we were ;) Thanks a lot for a perfect stay!

The large pool surrounded by palm trees was our favourite area with comfortable deck chairs all around the pool area and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. I loved the pool - similar to a gym pool. I did a daily morning swim of half an hour which was great exercise! It was like swimming in a private pool as I did not see other people swimming...I also appreciated the patio setting. . I appreciated being supplied with swimming and bath towels - high quality! The breakfast was exceptionally good and I loved the decor of the living room.

This place is immaculate. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, welcoming. Nice touches all over the place. The staff is lovely - both managers/reception and the cooking/cleaning staff were so friendly. The pool area is very relaxing. The view from many of the rooms face the mountains and are beautiful. Nice little touches like a bottle of wine decorated nicely in the room for my birthday. Extremely safe area, good security.

We have stayed here before as it is the perfect location for exploring Somerset West and the surrounding areas. It would have been a large family home and has kept that homely feel when you stay. The rooms are large, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and an honesty bar is available for any extra drinks throughout the day. The pool is a decent size and a great place to relax after being out all day although be warned it is cold! The team are lovely and accommodating and welcomed us back like old friends. We look forward to staying again.

It was really clean and the setup made for a relaxing, quiet stay. Even though it's a guest house, the room looked like a hotel room which was quite nice. Absolutely stunning oasis in Stellenbosch. The hosts and staff are so lovely (including the 3 gorgeous dogs!). Loved the rooms, style was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast delivered to enjoy in your sun room was perfect. Felt like you had your own private pool with only 2 rooms on the property. Sun loungers were so comfy too! Complimentary wine tasting was def a highlight! Everything perfect.

Deux Freres is absolutely stunning! The grounds are beautiful, the pool was perfect and our room was complete luxury. The property is very private and relaxing! The hosts were wonderful, helpful in arranging a wine tasting for us and taxis to and from nearby restaurants. I cannot recommend staying here more, we only wish we stayed for longer.

Kleinbosch Lodge is ideally situated for business in and around Stellenbosch. The location avoids most of the traffic congestion on the R44. Hans is an excellent host who takes a personal interest in each and every guest. The staff are friendly and efficient and the dogs are delightful. Fantastic pool for those days when the heat in the Boland gets too much. Breakfast is something to look forward to: a fantastic selection of fresh fruit and berries, cheese, bread, cold meat, etc. etc.

This is our third stay we love coming to Hawksmoor. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly the breakfast is amazing and the views around the farm are beautiful. The pool is one of the oldest pools built in the western cape. this property is full of history. always a pleasant experience.

Beautiful 300 year old homestead, stunning farm with breathtaking views, main house, where breakfast is served is like taking a walk into the past, beautiful antiques, historical residence, bedrooms were spacious and modern with top quality linen and very comfortable mattress, pool was lovely for summer and the bedrooms had fireplaces that makes it cosy over the winter months . Staff were super, very welcoming, very informative, had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone. A little out of Stellenbosch but here you have the luxury of space, quiet, views and peace.

We took a glass of wine out to the table in the garden courtyard and it was most pleasant. The breakfast buffet was so generous, interesting and enjoyable that we didn't explore hot breakfast. Andrew's attention to all details was great.

Breakfast was good. Could do pancakes, waffles, more fresh fruits. Pool room is very clean and spacious and love the shower. Very homely place and peaceful.

The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. Load shedding hit during breakfast hours, but Charmaine managed to keep the kitchen running and no one went without hot coffee or toast! Definitely a well run operation. I would recommend the Waterstone for a great stay in Somerset West.

We booked out three rooms. Each was thoughtfully decorated, well appointed. And exceptionally clean. The grounds of the property are welcoming and relaxing with a nice pool and lovely garden. Breakfast was delicious. Most of all our host Andrew and his team did everything to make our visit a five star experience. Would definitely come back.

The room was comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the breakfast served every morning. Our bedroom had a garden view leading to the pool area which was absolutely gorgeous

A beautiful little farm experience with wonderful views over the mountains and vineyards. I loved the room, grass area near the pool and the little tables tucked away under the trees. The breakfast was delicious and prepared early for us, as I had an early meeting. Thank you for this, much appreciated the extra effort made. The eating area and lounge space was wonderful. We kept warm in front of the fire with a drink from the honesty bar. Fabulous. Love the idea of being able to buy a few items at the lodge. Very convenient.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We felt very welcome from the moment we entered until we left. Rooms are spacious and neat. There is a lot to do around the property - a complementary wine tasting; padel courts; a bistro; picnic area; newly revamped swimming pool and various routes to take a stroll on. The breakfast was very tasty as well.

From a warm welcome to a lovely good bye, this was a great stay. The rooms are beautiful and well equiped, situated close by the pool. Complimentary wine tasting at the Herenhuis restaurant was very nice. All staff were friendly. The general atmosphere amazing. Breakfast was very good!

Great location near the old historic part of Stellenbosch. For visitors who have a desire to explore Stellenbosch on foot, this is a great place to stay. The are many interesting and well preserved old historic buildings in the area. Very close the the beautiful Dorp Street with it old buildings which have been wonderfully preserved over the years. Less than 5 minutes walk to excellent coffee shops and restaurants in centre of Stellenbosch. 10 minutes to from main campus of Stellenbosch University. 10 minutes walk to the Eerste River and 15 minutes walk to Coetzenburg sports stadiums. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious. The staff are friendly and willing to please. Warm and welcoming. Breakfast was wholesome and filling and a great way start the day. This property is down a quite cal-du-sac. Parking in this part of Stellenbosch is at a premium and therefore, it is recommended parking is requested when making the reservation.

The location was perfect. It was safe, and the place was beautiful. Lovely, comfy accomodation and spacious. Love the deco! Friendly and helpful staff - I could ask anyone for help, and they were willing to assist. Breakfast and wifi was great 🙂

Access to the property once checked in was easy - we could come and go as necessary. My partner and I loved every second of our stay at De Hoek Manor. Ilzebet was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. We loved breakfast and the breakfast room. The staff were also very attentive. Our room was stunning with views of Church street and the church. The location is as central as it gets with a choice of restaurants a few steps away. There is also secure off road parking. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the bed was big and comfy. There was air-conditioning, decent cupboard space and a mirror/hairdryer for me to do my make up and hair. There were complimentary chocolates, rusks, tea and coffee pods and a Nespresso machine which made my day. It was really an exceptional stay and I can see a lot of effort and thought goes into the presentation and management of the space! I would definitely return! :)

Well located, convenient for the town, bars and restaurants. Amazing big rooms/ bathrooms. Very friendly staff and welcoming owner/ manager. Sherry , free sweets and biscuits in the room. TV in the room was a bit small but there were large TVs in the many communal lounges. Expected a continental breakfast but was surprised to be offered a cooked breakfast. Shame we had to dash back to Cape town for a flight. Would have loved to linger and enjoy it more. Would book there again if we returned.

What a magical pocket of Stellebosch. Behind the door of Hook Manor, we felt like we were in a little oasis of comfort and frendliness. Ilse and her wonderful colleagues took exceptional care of us. The room is spacious and comfortable, the breakfast is exceptional, the location in Stellenbosch is close to restaurants and bars, and the parking makes it ideal for visiting vineyards. It is clear that the owner and the staff have taken special cate to showcase the historical uniqueness of this beautiful property. We certainly will be back to these great hosts.

The Guesthouse is located right accross the road from the Historical Dutch Reformed Church founded in 1687, a spectacular view of the Church from the lounges dining room and some bedroom windows and it is walking distance to many other historical sites and world class Restaurants.A safe but vibrant location. Beautifully decorated very spacious many lounges balconies and garden courtyards to enjoy.!The Manager a very gracious lady went beyond what I expected to really make us feel superbly welcome and comfortable.Very professional.! This is a very nice and comfortable guest house in a location that is walkable to shops and restaurants. The room was large with views of the pool. The staff was attentive and kind. Parking is right at the front of the property. A R100 voucher for breakfast is provided for a restaurant just a block away.

Arrival and Check-in arrangements were conveniently made via WhatsApp. Salomé met us at the gate, escorted us into the unit and showed us what we needed to know. She was very friendly and helpful. The unit was stylish and comfortable, with an excellent location (walking distance to shops, restaurants and university.) There is a lovely Checkers across the street for groceries, should one wish to do self-catering, but there are also various coffee shops and restaurants all around the property. We parked our car in the lock-up garage and walked everywhere.

This apartment is a little slice of heaven in Stellenbosch - close to everything, spacious, clean, with a nice view, super comfortable bed and AC. Salome, who did the check in, was really lovely and helpful and her and Karen both checked in on us during our stay. Would absolutely recommend.

The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a pool and even a Finnish sauna (which we tested and it was quiet ok :-) The place is very relaxing and quiet. The breakfast was good. The dinner was ok. Rooms are a bit dated, but nice and clean. We had a room with a balcony facing the vinyards.

The staff was wonderful, they were always there if you needed anything and very friendly. The location is lovely with a great view, with the wineyards directly all around. There is a big garden, a gym and two pools where you can relax. The breakfast was a buffet with a great selection and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Can recommend staying in Wedgeview to everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kunjani. We stayed in the Cabernet villa. The room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The view is absolutely gorgeous. We felt safe and well looked after by the staff, who were wonderful. The owner was able to put us in touch with a great guide who ended up taking us on wine tours over two days. All of the staff in the restaurant on site were also so great. The restaurant was fantastic - excellent food and wine and vibe. I would recommend coming here even just for a meal if you were not planning to stay. Would not hesitate to stay here again for a relaxing, romantic, peaceful stay. We only stayed for two nights, but found we were not impacted by the load shedding.

Marshen Estate is an absolute gem of a place. Driving into the estate you are taken away on an adventure. A lovely dam, a few springboks is what you see on your way to the guesthouse , peace and quiet is what you will find. There are big beautiful trees, the guest house we stayed in looked like a charming England Cottage. Staff are friendly, dedicated and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. There is a big swimming pool, koi pond and a big garden. A venue of choice if you want a world class accommodation experience.

We recently stayed in the luxury Boulders Cottage with our family for a short holiday. Our welcome was excellent, and the cottage exceeded our expectations (very clean, safe and the equipment of the house was very complete, also there was an outdoor private swimming pool). The beds were very comfortable, and the service was excellent. Every day we received tips for nice activities in the area. We further enjoyed the extensive and lovely breakfast. The estate is quite nearby Cape Town Airport, Stellenbosch, Winery Road etc. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

This was easily the best cottage I have ever stayed at! The views are unbelievable! The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. It is beautiful inside and out and very cozy and welcoming! I would love to return with my family.

We absolutely loved the location of this quant cottage. It is just far enough out of town to fully enjoy the tranquility of the region but close enough to town should you need to pop in for a meal or shopping. We loved the views of the mountains combined with the vast open fields. We loved being able to walk around on the property and explore the mind blowing views. The cottage is fully equipped and a pleasure to stay in. All and all it is just a gem of a place!

The location was perfect with access to lots of places to explore, shop and eat. The cottage is situated on the foot of some mountains and is surrounded by breathtaking views. The toiletries were stunning. It was so refreshing to stay somewhere with a decent hairdryer!!

The establishment is professionally set up and run. The management is friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The rooms are large and comfortable and the common areas are welcoming. I especially liked the way the toilet lit up for trips in the dark. Very clever. We had an excellent stay and will definitely stay there again.

This is definitely a modern luxury apartment in contrast to one or two others we stayed in on this trip which claimed to be but weren't. It is not huge, yet everything we needed was there, often located in the most imaginative ways. the shower was big and powerful , the bed comfortable and even the little balcony , though without a view, was a nice addition. We had tv and lights during load shedding. Finally it was totally safe and secure despite being in the very heart of the Stellenbosch nightlife.

Excellent option for anyone wanting to be in the centre of Stellenbosch. We were personally met by the host and communication from before to after was excellent. Beautifully laid out apartment, small and compact but had everything we needed including decent coffee and a thoughtful pillow chocolate! Comfortable furnishings and to a very high standard. The apartment is right in the middle of all the cafes, wine bars, restaurants etc so makes it super easy to walk everywhere. Car parking space allocated and safe. No noise overnight either so a peaceful sleep! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

What a hidden gem! This apartment is perfect for a couple traveling through Stellenbosch. The host was absolutely wonderful. He helped guide us to the secure underground parking area, showed us to the apartment and pointed out all the amenities of the apartment. The apartment is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Delicious coffee (with milk) and rusks are provided. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is centrally located and you can easily walk to many shops and restaurants. If you need more than one bed/room, the host owns the apartment next door as well which can make it a great accommodation option for a small family as well.

Met on arrival by Carla who showed us where to park and access to the property. Location is perfect. Right in the heart of Stellenbosch. I felt the apartment was a little small but ok for 2 nights. The free WiFi was ok, the shower was amazing. The downstairs entry door must be on a good magnetic spring as it closes very loudly, woke us up very early in the morning when people were leaving. Parking is very secure with your own allocated parking spot, security is good in the apartment with key fob entry. Cleaning lady is very friendly.

Gorgeous apartment , small but everything you need , was even happy to find a washer :) Perfect location , in the middle of Stellenbosch where you can walk to restaurants. starting the morning with a good cup of Nespresso coffee made us happy . owner met us at the safe parking area and showed us the apartment. great ending of our vacation:)

Karin is always there for a chat, and if you need anything it is being taken care of. Breakfast is accoring to African standard, excellent! Rooms are clean and spacy, inclusing airconditioning. Free Nespresso in the room. Honesty bar available with a large selection of drinks. And do not forget the swimming pool and the pool beds. Put a bed under the old oak tree and take a powernap!

I loved it all. Karin who runs the guest house is fabulous and so accommodating. The staff were wonderful. It was so peaceful with sheep, guinea fowl and squirrels running around. Beautiful views. Lovely big pool and comfortable sun loungers. It was a perfect few days to switch off and relax.

The guest house is located in a real farm and is perfectly maintained. We enjoyed everything, specially to walk in the vineyards, along the lake and the pool area. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Very friendly staff.

The roomed are a row of terrace type units with beautiful views and a shared pool ( not private plunge pool as stated) between the 6 units. Price is excellent however and walk for breakfast only 5 minutes.

Our review is for our room, pool and parking at the lower part of the wine farm and for commutation with Debbi and the cleaner Cynthia. Beautiful room, pool, view and exceptional, warm and welcoming staff.

The room was beautiful. The picture above, at the swimming pool doesn't look like the swimming pool where our room was. A bit misleading, I would say. The breakfast and the view was exceptional.

Loved the location in the vineyard. Small pool right next to room plus a larger pool at the top. Loved the restaurant and spa on site too. Wine pairings were available from the vineyard. Host was very helpful and supportive.

I loved the peace and quiet...relaxing on the loungers by the pool...fabulous view of the Hottentots-Holland mountain range. I had asked for 2 single beds as I shared with my son, and was delighted to get a room where there was a completely separate attic room. The owner came to chat at breakfast. The staff member who received and served us was a joy.

A very friendly welcome, beautiful gardens, stunning views of the mountains and of the sea. As soon as we arrived, we felt completely at ease, calm and relaxed. The bed rooms were lovely and comfortable, each with their own style, and a balcony with stunning views. We loved coming to breakfast each morning, to discover the charmingly decorated table, which differed each day, and to sit on the veranda enjoying the garden. The breakfast was delicious, and varied each day, our favourites were the home baked muffins, the cheese pastries and the banana pancakes. It was nice to be asked if we had any requests, and they were happy to make them for us. The staff were friendly and attentive and gave us lots of great advice for things to do in the area. Thank you for a wonderful happy stay.

We had a short weekend stay with my wife and 4 year old daughter. The rooms were very large and clean, opening to a courtyard with grass and a small pool that just a few rooms shared. There is a large pool near the restaurant as well. The staff was supper nice, and the grounds are beautiful with large eras to play and explore. SeverL restaurants to choose from. We had a nice picnic under beautiful trees for lunch. You can buy our picnic food at the deli on the hotel grounds. Overall it was great. The bathrooms in the rooms can use an update, but they are still ok.

Fantastic quasi-resort super close to Cape Town airport and Stellenbosch. We stayed two nights and didn't feel the need to leave at all, enjoying the wine tasting, pool and beautiful grounds. Hotel restaurant did great breakfast and we also enjoyed dinner there (hubby ordered the ostrich steak both nights). Only negative comment is that the bathroom is a little tired but clean. We would happily return for a relaxing weekend.

A beautiful huge property with well maintained grounds, set in a fantastic location. You can walk through the gardens with the mountains behind you, sit by the pool or relax in the large open areas on comfortable sofas. The rooms are huge with big comfortable beds, the food and wine is superb and the staff is very obliging.

A great location set in wonderful grounds with many activities to enjoy. Eight restaurant was outstanding but need to book. When we stayed we used the Pool which was lovely with lots of fresh water on tap to drink which is welcome. Breakfast staff polite but took a while for tables to clear and there seem to be no organization with the staff which needs addressing. Evening meal on Monday was not great...bread arrived half way through meal and sirloin sent back due to all fat! Apart from that we can’t fault reception staff . We are due back at the end of our holiday for two days of R & R

Because we were two adults traveling with our adult daughter our hotel choices were very limited. The two-bedroom cottage was perfect for us all because it really had two bedrooms in addition to the common kitchen and sitting room area. There were a number of wineries very close but if we were to do it again we would start our day earlier, stay 2 nights and plan on having a braai at the cttage. As it was, we were unprepared to fully use the cottage and ate a nice supper in Stellenbosch and a breakfast at the Pot Belly on the way to the N1, both delightful. It is also worth noting that the cottages are bordered by an orchard and vineyard, quiet, safe and rural.

We had the most amazing stay. It truly is a home away from home. Super clean and everything we needed was there. Staff were so so friendly and super accommodating. I love the face that it was quiet, yet it didn't take long to get to where we wanted to go. Lawns are immaculately kept and lovely for the kids to play on. The braai facility is an added bonus. Even during load shedding there were ample emergency lights and candles if needed.

Communication form the host was clear and it was very easy to arrive and enter the house. Our host was so friendly and available to assist with anything. I love the fact that you can all be together but still have your own space. The views from the cottages are so beautiful - you feel like you are on a farm between the vineyards. The cottages are kitted out with everything you can need. It was comfortable and clean, and very, very affordable!

The unit is extremely comfortable with stunning views. The standard of everything is excellent. We had excellent nights sleeps in super comfy beds. So peaceful and calm.

Very comfortable bed! We loved that there were bikes to borrow to go on a lovely morning bike ride around the compound. View is unreal! it is the perfect location and near many wineries. Their own wine is great and we got a complimentary wine tasting included in our stay. Breakfast was good, A la Carte, not buffet. There is a lovely pool as well. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Spacious room for a family, entrance from either garden door or main area of villa. Helpful and friendly staff, affordable laundry service, provide pool towels and honesty self serve drinks/water. Room has safe and basic amenities including mini fridge and hairdryer. Simple yet tasty cooked breakfast and continental cereal/fruits and breads available. Good location within short drive to beach, mall etc. Comfortable family feel.

Lovely big pool. Many relaxing places to sit or lay in the sun or under the trees. Clean and comfy rooms, including fridge. Friendly staff. Nice views, including of Strand beachfront and ocean. Easy booking and check-in.

Such a stunning place to stay. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Was in a beautiful location, not far from the R44 to get into the Winelands and N2 to get into Cape Town. Also a convenience store just up the road. Was great that it had a pool too, which my kids loved, and was kept really clean.

The service was absolutely fantastic, our room was very spacious and we had a wonderful time. The gardens are beautifully kept and there is a lovely pool as well. The property also has great views.

Hardy and Steffi and their staff could not have been more helpful or supportive. Their local knowledge and recommendations were perfect. It was quite hot during my stay. The large pool and sitting out area was ideal. Also, Hardy installed a ceiling fan in my room, which was superb. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely return or recommend it.

The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The owners Steffi and Hardy were extremely friendly and eager to please. The accommodation was well positioned and very peaceful surrounded by huge trees and mountains. Two beautiful swimming pools with well laid out and colouful gardens.

The location was perfect. The hosts were brilliant and quick at replying to queries. Good transport from the location. Loved the design of the rooms/buildings. The pool was class, perfect location and quiet.

Hardy and Stefanie are very accommodating and great hosts. They gave us many tips on places to find good restaurants, wine and Stefanie volunteers at a local charity to bring hope and opportunity to the impoverished children in the Kylemore environs. Simply stated they are wonderful examples of caring people. We were so touched by their philanthropy that we decided to donate to aitsa.org. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and I especially loved the fruit salad bowl each morning. Beds were very comfortable and the duvets are heated. Orangeville is on 2 hectares of land (~5 acres) with a swimming pool and plenty of secure space to roam. Finally, there was a variety of proteas in the dining area. NB Stefanie knows a lot about these indigenous flowers. It was great value for the money.

The location was outstanding; nestled between mountains on each side, wine farms close by; 8 minutes drive to Stellenbosch; magnificent grounds, 2 pools, lovely lounge swing beds and canopy beds to lie and stare at the stunning scenery. Old trees have been left alone and some must be well over 60 to 70 years old. Cant beat this place for relaxing. I had a lovely run around the area and felt safe, it was beautiful. a berry farm across the main road was a bonus for chilling on the verandah and gorging mulberries and blueberries. What a treat. Birds and squirrels running around. Its a new world, a place where humans require peace and tranquility. This place is medicine for the soul.

Five seasons guesthouse is a beautifull, clean and spacious guesthouse. The accomodation was clean en well managed, the rooms were cleaned every morning and the pool was a really nice addition. The breakfast was tastefull with fresh fruit, bread, yoghurt and baked eggs on request. The area feels safe and the accomodation is protected by a fence with a code.

We had a perfect stay, Sandra was welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts were beautiful, all we could ask for. The pool area was clean and perfect for our afternoon rest.

The location is beautiful - very leafy. The pool was great, and the breakfast was delicious! I loved that they had chia seeds, spirulina, cacao nibs etc. to add to the delicious (berry-filled) fruit salad. Everyone was very friendly.

We had the most amazing stay. Stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend. Everything was exquisite, from the pre-arrival communication, check in, room (finishes, amenities, plunge pool, peace & quiet), breakfast, dinner at Clara’s Barn/ Guewels, wine tasting. The staff were all amazing. The team has done an amazing job in creating a stunning experience that’s also great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location for some rest and relaxation. The staff are great and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and luxurious. The pool and Jacuzzi are also great additions to enjoy lazy days. The wine on the farm is good and reasonable priced and there is a great restaurant on the grounds. The ducks on the farm add to the experience. Would definitely visit again.

Breakfast needs some work. Not as good as what I expected, especially after the superb dinner we enjoyed the previous evening. Enjoyed our beautifully appointed room, quiet, own pool, free beverages. Excellent.

A beautiful winery situated on a farm, this five-star hotel offers a luxurious experience. The staff is professional and friendly, making every guest feel special. The mini bar is impressive, stocked with a wide variety of drinks and replenished daily. The suites are clean and well-furnished, exactly as described. The hotel also features an amazing restaurant and serves a great breakfast, enhancing the overall stay.

Beautiful, modern, spacious rooms, with a lounge and patio with heated jacuzzi. We stayed at the vineyard suites and it was luxury personified. Meals at both Geuwels and Clara’s barn were excellent. What stands out the most for us was the attention to detail, exceptional service and kindness of the those who work at the hotel and restuarant, made hubby’s birthday celebration very special and I am super grateful. Would definitely recommend. Other highlights, walking with the runner ducks, the spa and the lake.

We had a fantastic stay at The Devon Valley Hotel. It offers a serene escape with stunning vineyard views and the Helderberg Mountains as a backdrop. Our room, although small, was elegantly furnished and had a spacious shower room. The staff provided warm hospitality and the food/wine was exceptional. The secluded outdoor pool and beautiful gardens were fantastic too, and offered a peaceful retreat after a long day cycling around wineries. Highly recommended for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our time at the pool and the bar. Cocktails were great and the Barmen were attentive. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. The room was cosy and romantic. A cute kitty greeted us at reception :-)

We loved the Devon Valley Hotel. The staff were so friendly, the hotel clean, the pool clean and great to swim in. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The cooked breakfast was the best I have ever had. All in all we loved the Devon Valley Hotel.

Lovely harden chairs/table and relaxing chairs on both small balconies & 3 steps down into the little garden . Highly recommended and we’ll definitely stay there again. Staff was friendly , helpful, also during the quick check in. Fast communication via email. A special shout-out for Eugene, the night security guard. Helpful, friendly.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. It is central to all shops and restaurants, yet still one block away from all the overnight noise of church street, making for quiet overnight sleep. The well maintained apartments themselves are reminiscent of old Stellenbosch, with wooden floors and high ceilings. Fully equipped kitchen meant we were able to prepare our own meals while avoiding the outside heat with excellent airconditioning they provide. Super friendly staff. Highly recommened. Our first choice for accommodation in Stellenbosch.

The host was very welcoming and upgraded us to a better room. We had everything we needed, and the pool was nice to use.

What a lovely welcoming from Daniel and Antoinette. Facilities were fantastic - better than advertised. Lovely setting and we were accommodated to work at the poolside during the day. Area was so quiet and peaceful. Anthing additional required was supplied with no extra cost to us. It was like a home away from home. Freindly staff and the level of cleanliness was way above average (in fact immaculate). The location was another bonus being close to the wine estates. Our hosts also recommended dining venues each evening which definitely did not disappoint. We will definitely be back with our family in December 2024.

The location is great – convenient but quiet! Also, the small patio and outdoor space are very nice. The room is very cozy and clean, and reminded me of my family's house. :) Also, Daniel is a very friendly and accommodating host!

Great location very close to town centre. Walked everywhere in town. Staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent continental and cooked breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Nice garden, pool area with sunbeds for relaxing. Secure safe in the room.
