Rooftop infinity pool. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very clean.

My 13 year old son and I had a fantastic stay at the 3HB hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The hotel is perfectly located in the town centre, clean & spacious rooms, breakfast offered a great selection of food, we loved the infinity pool at the rooftop and fire pit in the evenings. The pizza restaurant at the bottom was delicious and super convenient. I particularly enjoyed the white sangria cocktail at the pool bar. Staff were all incredibly friendly and efficient. We didn’t use the spa facilities but they looked very nice. We would 100% recommend and hopefully come back.

Immaculately clean hotel that is based right in the main area of Faro. The bed was comfortable and had a choice of pillows. Nice breakfast and Lucas our waiter on a couple of mornings was a delight. It has a beautiful roof terrace and restaurant with an infinity pool. Cheerful and helpful concierge staff.

Room was stunning. Pools were lovely but cold! the best pool was the spa indoor and infinity pool, these were much warmer. We absolutely loved the hydro pool and the whole spa in general was amazing, I had the best pregnancy massage I’ve ever had, it is on the pricey side though. Breakfast was delicious! The staff are incredible here, so attentive and friendly, super helpful and seem to remember everyone’s names which for a hotel of that size is very impressive. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be retuning.

Staff were excellent, so polite and helpful, they went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and comfortable. We loved the cleanliness of hotel, room and breakfast area. The location is close to Faro airport, 20 minutes at most in taxi. The bar was very good and cocktails excellent. Perfect location for golf as numerous courses on the doorstep. The shuttle to beach was great, 15 minutes each way. The hotel's infinity pool was lovely and it was good that there was another pool which catered more for children. Good base to visit Faro, Vilamoura and other popular places.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this bright and spacious hotel. Room was large with balcony overlooking garden. Lovely infinity pool. Friendly and attentive staff. Generous buffet breakfast to suit all tastes including a far-too-tempting array of pastries! This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back.

WOW!! This is our second year at staying at the Conrad. The staff make this place and your stay special. They are so friendly and welcoming and are there to help you out. The building itself is beautiful to look at the the swimming pools and Spa are fantastic! The poolside staff cater for your every need bringing you your drinks and food so you don't need to move from your lounger. The staff in the lounge bar... WOW just so super. We were lucky enough to eat at Gusto Heniz Beck the Michelin restaurant there and their own Louro restaurant but absolutely amazing! Our room was as good as last year and overlooked the infinity pool! Roll on next year.

What’s not to like? Customer service goes way beyond expectations. EVERYONE is friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to make your stay exceptional. The amenities: pools, gym, spa, basketball, tennis, golf and shuttle. Top notch poolside drink and food service. The food was consistently excellent. Rooms were much larger that most Euro Hotels and have nice patios. The front desk staff gave us great Restaurant recommendations and did the bookings. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The landscape is beautiful

it is on amazing location. liked very much swimming pool and jacuzzi. My children and family friends enjoyed alot.

Pool area was nice and clean but the sun beds were really uncomfortable but most are! Unfortunately the umbrellas did not stand up to the wind and most of them broke while we were there.

It was a good choice. A pleasant surprise. Great pool.

If what you are looking for is an absolute break from anything and everything stressed and hurried Colina Verde is the place for you. Sufficiently separated from cities to be free from contemporary clutter yet close enough to Faro airport (Half an hour by car) and Olhao (15 to 20 mins) to provide convenience yet peace and quiet. Photographs on line are faithful to experience.All rooms are well air conditioned. Kitchens provide pretty much all one might need. The pool is a dream and the staff are an absolute delight. I imagine the Portuguese might like an attempt made at their language but that said ALL reception staff, speak excellent English and take customer care to unparalled levels. You won't find English speaking T.V. channels BUT why would one want to be suck inside a room when the grounds,pool and environment are simply so marvellous?

Spotlessly clean, Fresh bed linen and Towels. King size bed was a dream. Big walk in shower. The room had a kettle and fridge with some coffee, water etc provided. Infinity pool was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers. Free WiFi dongle you could take out in the car and use for your stay. We were totally relaxed and enjoyed our little stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was beautiful Thank you we will be returning for sure

Idilic location, an amazing infinity pool overlooking the hills. Away enough from the crowds to be able to stargaze and really enjoy the night sky. The smallest attention to details makes you feel welcomed and cherished as a customer. We only stayed for one night because we were on a quick one day trip to Algarve but we are definitely going back. If peace and relaxation is what you´re looking this is the perfect option. A very warm mention to our host Isabel, she went above and beyond what was expected. Thank you once again. We will be going back soon !!!!

Cristina was very humble, friendly, helpful and caring. Property itself is very comfortable with all the necessities needed, swimming pool was decent and clean, area quiet and peaceful. Good care of the place with good security and safety.

The facilities are excellent and we even had access to a pool and bbq. Very clean and modern. The host Cristina was very helpful and friendly. It was better than we expected. Everything you need, large fridge, stovetop, dishwasher and all the crockery you need. Two smart TVs and excellent wifi as well. Good parking.

The pool the wonderful breakfast, the staff, Christina was exceptional wonderful! The beach was close.

Friendly staff, nice room, quiet location and a really cool swimming pool! Thank you!

What a gem of a hotel with its perfect location ambling down the traditional walkways with their bars/restaurants towards the marina front. Very modern/clean rooms with everything you need. Breakfast buffet was exemplary and well tended. The rooftop bar & lounge area was a very comfortable setting with nice views of the city. The rooftop pool area with the sunbeds is a fabulous addition & looks very classy. We had an early flight out & they made us up a takeout breakfast which was most appreciated, very attentive.

Lovely small hotel within 5 minutes walk of seafront bars and restaurants. Calming, spacious reception area with comfortable seats. The staff are fantastic special mentions for Alice, Tiago, Sonia, and Daniel. They made us feel so welcome and gave such a cheerful service. The beds are really comfy and the room spacious and clean. The roof terrace with pool and bar is an excellent place to relax. Breakfast was very good with plenty of healthy choices and for me the not so healthy but very tasty options.

Very tranquil, in beautiful surroundings with lovely pool. Breakfast included in room rate was super and being able to sit beside the pool having breakfast was a real treat in the morning sun. Wish I was back there now!

Fantastic locationn for a quiet retreat, Pool area spotless and we just about had the pool to oursevles. Restuarant serves lovely food . We stayed 2 nights and eat there both nights. Would recommend it highly and very reasonable. My only recommendation is the plastice chairs and yellow plastic covers for such a lovely hotel the sun luungers let the hotel down.

Our room was super-spacious, air-conditioned, extremely comfortable and pristinely clean, with a breathtaking view of the pool, gardens, bowling green, outdoor gym area. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs done to your preference. Dinner at the restaurant was deliciously flavourful, generous and hot, the location is quiet, peaceful and amazing! Rosario and her team are so pleasant, polite, courteous, welcoming and accommodating, serving with a smile... Their service was second to none! We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful place to stay for some rest, Gardens and surrounding areas well maintained, lots of space for peace, lovely smell of rosemary through. Great size rooms with balcony or terrace. Lovely pool to cool down in. Pedro at the bar was friendly and made great cocktails. Had dinner in the restaurant was beautifully cooked - even got given a birthday cake with a candle for dessert.

A great place to stay for a few days on holiday. Very nice, well maintained surroundings. 2 excellent swimming pools and a jacuzzi. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly to guests. The food in the restaurant is excellent, we enjoyed the local food. The rooms are large and tidy. We were looking for a place that could offer beds instead of extra sofas and we got what we expected, which we are happy about (when choosing a trip with children). Every room (as far as we could see) has a terrace or balcony where you can have a cosy evening.

We liked the idyllic place on the countryside with animals, beautiful views and cute pool area. The room was spacious and clean with big and comfy bed. Staff was very friendly,also the breakfast was very nice!

This hotel was literally a breath of fresh air because of its beautiful rural location. Our room had a small veranda/balcony and overlooked the local olive farms. It was a perfect antidote to 5 days of city touring. They had a pleasant dining room with big picture windows where we had our breakfast. There was also a very nice swimming pool but we didn't have time to use it. The hotel wasn't far from the lovely little town of Tavira with all its restaurants.

Vila Monte was absolutely beautiful! Every detail has been immaculately designed. Staff were super friendly and couldn't help enough. Facilities were amazing: 2 beautiful pools, (one with pool bar), room was fantastic with added details like sun hats to use during your stay. Activities available all complementary; tennis courts, bicycles, gym, outdoor cinema. Trip to Barra Nova beach is a must. Couldn't recommend more for a relaxing stay in Algarve :)

Look at the website, it's even nicer than it looks. Rooms are spacious, everything is clean, food is excellent, 2 good pools (shallow though), lovely areas to sit and relax round the pools, service is top notch and the gardens are very pretty. There is a private minibus/boat to their secluded beach. Easy access from Faro airport and also into Faro and the Rio Formula area. We will definitely be going back!

Perfect in every way! This is what 5 starts looks like! My husband and I were traveling for our wedding anniversary, and our Secret Suite was perfect--the private pool, the patio, the concierge, the breakfasts...it was all heaven. The hospitality is warm and down-to-earth. The food at the restaurant is amazing--including amazing vegetarian dishes. The resort includes different activities like yoga, cocktail-making classes, and wine tasting. For an unforgettable experience in the Algarve, don't hesitate--book this now!

This resort is beautiful. We were upgraded from a standard to a superior room with terrace and sitting room, sliding patio doors and king size bed. Breakfast was wonderful. Relaxing pool area and wireless internet in common areas. Quiet retreat on a manicured golf course with spa facility on site. Note that the enterance to the hotel is between the highway and the town. Location is close to fishing villages in the Algarve.

Fabulous hotel, lovely rooms. Staff were definitely a highlight, so friendly. Fernando by the pool area was amazing as was the chef in charge of eggs at breakfast. Breakfast choice was fantastic. Lovely pool area with very comfortable sunbeds. Rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. Easy walk to the beach and nature reserve with some lovely trails to walk. The Shack and Gigi’s were lovely bars to sit in and relax.

Couldn’t fault it, the hotel is excellent. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The pool area was lovely and not too busy. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The poolside cafe had some good value options (the chicken tacos were great) and the bar ran a daily happy hour. Great location just a walk or very short taxi away from lots of restaurants. The staff were all delightful - we were travelling with our 7 month old baby and they couldn’t have made it easier for us.

Everything was amazing from arriving to leaving, the staff are so friendly and helpful, we was able to check in early by 3 hours, we was offered a hotel tour and champagne on arrival. The pool staff made our trip memorable as they were so chatty and friendly. The facilities were to a good standard, good gym and massive spa. The pool food was yummy. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be returning :)

Great local hotel within easy walking distance from the train station in Tavira. Friendly welcoming staff on arrival and throughout our 4 night stay. Comfortable modern room with smart new bathroom and balcony overlooking well kept gardens. Decent sized outdoor swimming pool for a relaxing dip on an afternoon. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, nice selection of breads and choice of local speciality cakes & pastries. Brilliant value for money but a little bit on the outskirts of town so if you are happy to stroll 15 minute on an evening to the old town then this won't be an issue.

Not sure why this hotel is only 1 star - it was better than some 3 star hotels. Mario on reception is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay including parking and a pool. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Wifi good, shower pressure good. Breakfast ok but lots of homemade cakes which were yummy. Walk into Tavira starts on busy main road with no footpath, but its fine if you are careful. Would recommend this hotel.

Amazing palace we felt very privileged to visit and stay! The facilities were fantastic with its pools, saunas and bars! The breakfast menu had so much variety and all very delicious! Amazing how the accommodation was very modern but discreetly hidden so as not to spoil the palace.

Travelled with a 16-month-old and everything was very child friendly and within easy access. We had a 1 bed apartment close to supermarket reception and 3 min walk to pool area. The staff was so nice and friendly especially Carlis at reception and the pool bar team who made my birthday extra special. The playground and pool were our little one's favourites and the views on the golf course were breathtaking. A great escape for families and only 10min away drive from our favourite beach.

The grounds are really nice, the staff are helpful and friendly. They provide you an option to WhatsApp if you have any issues and they check in with you to make sure all is okay. The pool is really nice and there are smaller ones for children or just relaxing, plus an indoor pool (we didn’t use). The room was okay, a little dated but the shower was okay and the beds comfy so no complaints really.

Really great 4 night stay. Place is in great condition. Only down side was too many kids in pool area - adult pool or area would be a great addition. Beach in-front and sunbeds were used daily (although have to pay for sunbeds). Supermarket is 10mins away. Shop in hotel is very limited.

We came from another 5 star hotel in Albufeira and we immediately loved this one, it is all the other one wasn’t. It is classy, quiet, the apartments are very large and comfy, the kitchen has every single detail and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The toiletries are from Rituals! The garden is very big, has a large barbacue area and a jacuzzi. The hotel is on the beach and has 3 pools (1 indoors) and a nice restaurant. The restaurant is a little expensive but the staff and food are great. We loved it so much we booked another 9 nights immediately.

The pool area is a great area for adults and children alike, the only criticism I would have is the number of steps from the pool side to the pool bar, foe someone with a disability this was quite a challenge. That said food offered at the pool bar was very good and great value for money. The bedroom was spacious, maintained very well and staff attentive prviding chocolates in the evening as a 'treat'

My husband & 1 have stayed 6 times. Location is great near the beach, which the hotel provides transportation if needed. Restaurant’s near if you decide to eat out in the evening. Breakfast was lovely with great choices. We had lunch at the pool bar most days. Pool is large and lots of sunbeds around. Never a issue on getting a sunbed. Staff very friendly. Hotel is very clean. We had a side sea view room. which was lovely looking over the pool & sea. Very comfortable bed.

The staff was very friendly, in excellent proximity to the beach via a 5 min shuttle and nice beach concessions, and beautiful sea and nature preserve views, Hotel was very clean, the cleaning staff was excellent and the hotel, in general, was beautiful. I did not have an opportunity to visit the spa will save that for next time. If you are looking for a nice quiet luxurious getaway a 20 min drive from Vilamoura Marina I highly recommend Ria Park.

Pool area is enjoyable; the indoor pool was closed during our stay but we imagine it will be lovely to use once refurbished.

My family of 2 children and 2 adults spent 1 night in this hotel. It was quiet season so check-in was quick and the staff were very helpful. We ordered combined rooms which were large, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were large and very comfortable (some of the best hotel beds I've slept in in recent years). The breakfast dining hall was nice and the food great. The swimming pool/spa area was located on the 1st floor and had nice views over the sea. The kids loved the pool as it was raining outside.

I loved staying in Olhao and Real Marina was a great place to chill after a month of travelling. The room size and comfort of bed A1 , loved my balcony. The pool was excellent, nicely cleaned and welcomed dip. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful for local places. Agree with comments from another reviewer re day pool cafe, prices for drinks expensive and local cafe restaurants better options and prices . Breakfast, very good. All round an excellent stay!! Loved it.

This is a world leading hotel and our experience was a sheer delight from the booking process and arrival until our departure. The hotel is beautiful- every part of the interior decorated to a high standard with style. Pools and pool area is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast staff excellent. View is magnificent and there are many walks along the coast to be had. We hired bikes and that was fun. I would return in a heartbeat and really look forward to going back again some day.

We had a very nice stay here. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel really is a cut above. The rooms are palacial and the service second to none. We stayed as a group of free each in our own rooms with garden balconies. Pool is nice and quiet. When. I checked out I accidentally left £145 in cash in my room. Housekeeping kept it and transferred it to me back in England. Honest and five star service. Carlos at the pool was a very friendly guy, as was Diego. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a five star experience in the beautiful Quinta do Lago.

The choice at breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. The pool was delightful with very friendly and helpful staff. The cocktail bar was great with very entertaining staff that created a lively atmosphere!

We loved our twin room - we opted for the recently upgraded room and weren't disappointed. The decor was calming, the linen was so very comfortable and everything was spotless. Lovely coffee making facilities and a clothes steamer was a great addition! The rooftop restaurant and bar is fantastic. We didn't go in the pool, but I do wish I'd brought a swimming costume as towels were provided as well as bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and varied and cocktails watching the sun set is just perfect to end a day.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Faro, with fantastic views of the Rio Formorsa and the marina. There is a lovely rooftop pool to relax. There was a good breakfast selection with the Portuguese tarts being our favourite! There is a minibus service to take you to the beach club. The beach is spotless and there is a great selection of food and drink at the beach club. Ending the evening on the rooftop terrace watching the sunset was perfect.

Clean , QUIET, spacious room. Excellent breakfast choices. Rooftop bar was nice for viewing and relaxing. Hotel was in an awesome location... close to tourist areas and bus/train station. Staff pleasant and helpful. ( outdoor pool was closed due to continuous rain and wind but other options were available- gym and Turkish bath)

We stayed off season at the magnolia so it was quiet but very peaceful. The hotel is very nicely decorated, pool is well taken care of, and staff are friendly. The small annoyance was the room got cleaned very late each day when we wanted to be back in it. I’m certain this might not apply in high season however. As a bonus the hotel gave me a cocktail on my birthday which was very kind. The local area is walkable but there isn’t a pavement which I would make it much better. Overall it was great value for a chilled holiday.

Second time we’ve stayed here and we feel the hotel has improved, we stayed in a marina view room which was worth the extra cost. Room was excellent, great shower and the maids that did the 3rd floor were excellent and our room was always spotless, breakfast was again excellent as was the indoor pool and spa , although we had read that swimming caps were mandatory and had purchased them but everyone else we saw in the pool didn’t have them, if that’s a rule then the hotel should implement that . That was just a minor gripe and didn’t affect our stay, we’ll certainly return in the future

Visited on a 3 night deal with friends. The hotel is well situated near the marina. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The pool area is ok,could do with a spruce up, the chairs around the pool,could do with some new cushions, as they are a bit grubby. Breakfast was excellent,cannot complain. Lots of choices. Only complaint,we tried to keep a room on, as we had to check out at 12,but we were not getting picked up until 5 pm. A room ,to possibly get a shower would be a good idea .

I really like this Hotel but there’s lots of things that could make it much better. The staff were not very welcoming on arrival ( maybe having an off day). The pool has debris at one end and no one came around all afternoon to pick up litter and empty plates and glasses. Light fixtures fell down in the cupboard with exposed wires. Plug socket hanging off the wall near the pool area. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a great selection. A bit of care would make a big difference to this Hotel.

The staff were very polite and helpful. This made it a pleasant experience for us. The location is excellent, right on the marina. The rooftop pool is fabulous, albeit a little tired looking (staff told us they're refurbishing the pool area this winter). The rooms were clean. The breakfast was excellent. Piano player in the dining room is fab.

This was my second time staying here, as I had such a great experience last time (March 2019) as well. My brother and I stayed from the 15th - 19th ofJuly 2024. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The reception staff, especially Claudia, Alexandra, Rute and Yoao were fantastic! On behalf of my brother and I we really appreciated them. The hotel was lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning. The hotel bar area was a nice place to relax and their was great Wi-Fi coverage. The hotel location is good. It was a 10 minute walk to the marina and town centre. We have recommended this hotel to our family and friends.

My friend and I came to Faro for a weekend get away. We arrived too early to check in, but the receptionist recommended a great cafe for breakfast and a few places to visit before check in. Upon check in, the room was neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a small coffee/bar where in the evening I would have a glass of wine. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Also very close walk down to the marina. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value! 😊 I will be back!

Just arrived back after a most pleasant stay at the Ria Park Hotel. All the staff were friendly and most intentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the pool area was surrounded by palm trees and we spent many a relaxing time under them along side of the pool. The only downside, if any, I would suggest hiring a vehicle as it is in a residential area and we had to hire taxis to get to the various places to visit. I would highly recommend the Ria Park Hotel.

Clean and modern room, quiet small but did the job, room actually had four bed bunk bed then a seperate room with double bed, small bathroom and small balcony, was therefore spacious for jsut myself but wud be quite tight for four people, staff friendly, no complaints, check out as late as 12 which was nice and breakfast was nice, food fresh and enjoyable.

The breakfast was self service, good variety to start the day and not hurried. Location was within a 5 minute walk of the train and coach station. Really helpful staff, very clean room with a balcony. Effective air conditioner which quickly cooled the room. Although on a fairly well used road, the noise was muffled by the insulated patio door. The pillows and the bed were really comfortable. The lift was helpful to move luggage to and from the room. Shower room was spotless and the shower a decent size. No disturbing nightlife/nightclub noise. Really recommend this hotel for solo travelers - I would book it again for a short stay.

Super clean room upon arrival. The hotel itself felt very relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food and drinks. The hotel is very central which allowed us to acsess tons of activities and restaurants by foot. Staff were very helpful. I left some feedback about the breakfast on a google form asking for some sauces and the next day they were there! Staff were very attentive. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. My only complaint is that the room was noisy. We were next to the reception & noise carried to the room. In the morning we could hear the cleaning from about 6am and preparation in the breakfast room.

Beautiful location but would definitely need to get taxis wherever you’re going. Sally & Maria found me a fabulous hairdresser to come to the hotel to do my hair for a wedding. No problem at all.

This is a hidden gem … we stayed for a week and we loved everything about it!! The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were very luxurious with really comfortable beds. Hotel was immaculate and the pool area was so clean and really comfortable. Close to beach and restaurants and when we needed an uber they were easy to come by. This is our first time staying here but we are already planning a return visit !

We only stayed overnight on our way back to Faro Airport. We know the area well but haven’t stayed here before. The reviews looked worth giving it a try and we weren’t disappointed, would definitely stay again. Room was comfy and fresh milk in the fridge was a plus. Breakfast was tasty and cooked freshly to order. A small and friendly place to stay. Enjoyed having breakfast on the patio. Pool was a decent size for a small hotel.

Our phone got stuck behind toilet, the manager arranged craftsmen to come early morning and we got the phone back in 15 min. Amazing customer support. It really saved our day and stay. Amazing location, 10 min from Old Town, 3 min from the bus stop from where you can go to the Praia de Faro beach as well as to the airport. 20 min by bus to the beach and 15 to airport. Room interior is simple but it includes all that is needed for a few days stay. Hairdryer, towels, small cosmetics, small desk....all is there. We did not try breakfast but it looked quite well and was at a reasonable price. Hotel has patio, where guests can seat and eat breakfast. Hotel provided free of charge beach towels, which you can exchange each day. You can leave bag in a storage room after check out time and your travel time. 3 min from the hotel there are 2 restaurants serving fresh seafood.

The location was great - about 5 mins walk to the train station, restaurants and the shops! The 24 hour reception was brilliant and we were welcomed whatever time of day/evening it was - the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases in a room at reception and go to the beach whilst we were waiting to check in - we were even offered beach towels to take with us! The hotel's reception area was immaculate as was our room. Stayed for 1 night at beginning of our holiday and 1 night at the end of our stay! The first room was overlooking the front of hotel and was a little compact but was fine for 1 nights stay but the room we had at end of our stay was overlooking the court yard and was much bigger and quieter but both were immaculate We had breakfast on the first day which was amazing - the choice was excellent and everything was so fresh and well laid out and we could eat in the breakfast room or out in the court yard - once again ver helpful staff.

We didn't have too much expectations as the hotel is rated two stars, but we had a very pleasant surprise. The location is perfect, the centre is basically just down the road. The room we got was spacious with a balcony to the inner "garden" part, it was quiet regardless of the location of the hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was big with all the toiletries you might need. We did not book breakfast with the room, but we were able to pay for it whenever we decided to have one in the hotel. Plenty of food to choose from as it is a buffet style. I personally liked the continental, but my partner had eggs with bacon/sausage. The reception staff was very helpful, we could even get beach towel when we asked for it. They answered any questions we had. They were even nice when we checked in before check-in time. They cleaned every day, but we didn't want that, but every time we needed to change something the housekeepers kindly catered us.

breakfast had a good choice in a very light clean airy room. the location was perfect for bar and restaurants and the train station and the room had everything you require eg air con tv shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate, comfortable and clean. I appreciated air conditioning and comfortable bed. The central courtyard my room faced was sweet.

The Lemon Tree Stay is a delightful property fully embracing the lemon tree theme, from the shade of the lemon tree in the courtyard where a delicious breakfast is served, to handmade lemon soap in the room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee freely available in a small kitchen with an honesty bar (water, beer, red and white wine, and ice cream). Location in the centre very quiet and a short (10 min or less) walk to the Old Town, harbour, and other tourist attractions. Roof top terrace completed a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in Faro next to restaurants and shopping but still quiet at night. The property is very cute with a rooftop. Issa was very helpful she served us coffee and cake when she checked us in and gave us a bunch of suggestions on a map. There's free bikes to rent as well. The breakfast was amazing I highly recommend staying here if you're in town!

Centrally located within easy walking distance of central Faro. Exceptionally helpful hosts who advised on where to eat and drink and were happy to book the more popular venues. The European breakfast each morning was excellent and we made full use of the 'honesty bar' and roof top areas in the evenings. Super room with comfortable bed and wonderful shower. Wouldn't consider anywhere else if returning to Faro.

Boutique hotel with pool and walking distance to Faro airport! I highly recommend this hotel for an early flight or overnight layover! The pool area and big luggage lockers are definitely a plus!

Although only stayed for one night after we arrived late it was lovely and close to the airport which was lovely and convenient. The rooms was also really nice and modern. Being that we were only down the road from the airport, it was a very quiet and peaceful night as you could not hear any plans coming or departing while the door to the balcony was closed. Can’t comment on the facilities as we didn’t use them but we did see the swimming pool as we left in the morning. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again for the convenience and comfort.

The location. Of this property is perfect for an over night stay before an early flight or a late flight arriving. It’s very easy to get from the airport to the hotel. It’s only a 10 minute walk .The room we had was fine and spacious , very clean and comfortable . We also had a very big balcony which was nice. As we only stayed the one night we didn use the pool or have brekkie the following morning so can’t comment on those. However I will say the staff were very very friendly and welcoming .

Casa da Sina is a truly exceptional place to stay. The property is unique in style and the grounds are extensive and beautiful. We loved the pool, the myriad places to explore and relax within the garden, and the incredibly well-equipped and designed kitchen. The owner Paulo gave warm communication and super helpful tips, and everyone who tended to the Casa was friendly, professional and very keen not to disturb our stay in any way. The stunning sunrises and sunsets were the icing on the cake! The location is fantastic - close enough to beaches, towns, shops - but secluded enough to allow you to feel totally away from any hustle and bustle. We will miss this slice of paradise and hope to return very soon!

We have just returned from a week stay and had a wonderful time. The villa is an amazing and we feel very lucky to have stayed here for the week. The villa is stunning, well equipped, set in fantastic grounds and located in a very quiet location. Paulo was a fantastic host too - helping us with all our questions and suggesting great local restaurants and beaches too. An amazing villa, great hosts, and a week to remember!

La maison est équipée de tout le nécessaire et plus encore (niveau cuisine, ustensiles, électroménager,...). La piscine est très agréable, et les innombrables chemins sinueux du domaine emmenant chacun vers différents endroits aménagés en extérieur (ou sous un dôme pour le billard) sont magnifiques a parcourir. La communication avec l'hôte (très aimable) est on ne peut plus simple, les réponses aux éventuelles questions sont données dans des délais très courts. De très bonnes recommandations également pour ce qui est des restaurants. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

The nicest place that we have stayed at... Very clean... stunning apartment... like brand new... We left every morning for a lovely walk on the beach, and when we arrived back to the apartment, our beds were made, and the apartment was immaculately clean again.. Everything. The staff were amazing especially the co owner brothers that look like twins. Juan was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was the best we had in our trip. Fabulous seabass, beautifully cooked, large fish, and very very reasonably priced at 15 euro including veg and potatoes. The restaurant had silver service, white linen tablecloths, indoor and out door seating. Also a superb range of interesting alcoholic beverages reasonably priced. Juan was most helpful and friendly. Our room was airy and large with super big bed and Fabulous power shower large bathroom. I could not fault it and location was just perfect beside old town, shopping district, restaurant street, Port with ferry to Faro Beach and 10 euro taxi from Airport. I would definitely stay here again.

Neat and Clean Hotel in an excellent location. The room was neat and big. The bathroom was massive. The marina is just opposite the street. All local shopping and restaurants are all around. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The restaurant in the hotel is also run by the same family, and they insisted that i dont pay for the coffee i had in the restaurant. I had an issue with the wifi and the owner got it fixed in a short time. Highly recommended for the location, and friendly attitude of the owners.

Central location near marina and old town was great. Quiet at night and plenty of room. Staff friendly and restaurant downstairs is useful for breakfast,tea and coffee. Clean, comfortable and good value.

We ended up at the Faro Boutique Hotel after being unable to land in Madeira and being dropped in Faro. It was short notice, trying to find something as we were getting off the plane and somewhere that could take 12 of us. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was ok. The rooftop bar was amazing, so peaceful and perfect for lying in the sun with a cold beer, there’s no pool though. They had a rooftop festival in Faro that weekend, with lots of rooftop bars taking part. Our bar had Jazz and Blues music and we got the chance to take part in building up a song from nothing. It was my favourite part of the break. Faro centre itself isn’t amazing but this hotel and location are a perfect starting point to all the trips on offer. There was a self service continental breakfast, which was more than adequate and the rooms were cleaned every day. If I ever go back to Faro I would stay here again.

The best thing about this hotel was the kindness of the staff. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and did all they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I had an issue with my room which had a loud humming noise which would have kept me awake. The manager, Ricardo, was very kind and understanding and moved me to another room where there was no humming. For people who don't sleep well, you would ideally ask for a room away from the lift and stairwell as this area could be noisy with slamming doors, people talking, lift going up and down, but away from the stairwell it was quiet. The room was cleaned daily by super kind and friendly people and the people serving breakfast were super helpful too. The breakfast was very nice - as described by others - cereal, bread, cheese, yoghurts, fruit, tea and coffee. It was also possible to book a massage as there is a woman who visits the hotel to offer this service in one of the rooms, which was divine. Just what we needed to help us wind down into the holiday. The location is within 10 minutes walk of all the main areas in the town - marina/ferry departure, cathedral, museums, bars, restaurants. You can get a ferry to Faro beach for 4 euros return and it goes every hour or so (more frequently as the season picks up). We also did a boat trip with Lands Eco Boat Tours, around the local nature reserve which is highly recommended. This isn't a luxury hotel but for the price it is worthy of 5 stars!

The hotel is situated less than 10 minutes from the old town and the large pedestrian area which houses numerous bars and restaurants. It was a very quick 15 euro taxi ride from the airport to the hotel no need to pay expensive private transfers. The hotel staff booked the return taxi for us after our 3 night stay. The room was clean and tidy with a decent sized walk in shower. The decor is in need of attention and there were no in room tea and coffee making facilities. The roof top bar opened daily at 4pm and gives views over the city. It was very quiet whilst we were there but it is well worth using and would benefit from the hotel advertising it more. We did not have breakfast but there are an umber of cafes directly outside of the hotel. The staff were friendly and knew a great deal about the city and the transport systems. We would use this hotel again if we were to revisit the city.

The hotel checked every box we had when looking to book our Faro stay. Location is within walking distance from town center and the best places to visit, both bus and train station as well as bars and restaurants. Room was clean and we loved the fact that we had a coffee machine with a couple of coffee pods. There is also a coffee lounge near reception, prices are ridiculously cheap - €1 euro for a black americano and €0.8 for an espresso. Not to mention that the coffee was somewhat better than the ones we had out. Ricardo and the team have been incredibly helpful and we would like to once again thank them for making our stay so pleasant.

The hotel was very central and within walking distance of the all the main areas of the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was compact and very comfortable. It had everything I needed including a good shower, TV with lots of channels in many languages, a safe, fridge, air conditioning and a small balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast was continental with a good selection of tasty and freshly baked items. A good value hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay at the gorgeous former Palace. The bedrooms were quiet and spacious, the rooms in the Palace areas are so stunning and beautiful that it was a real treat. Delicious breakfast with beautiful views in their garden and lovely kittens purring around. The pool area is great for relaxing, with gym, indoor pool, outdoor pool and sauna. It was a great relaxing break before catching a flight from faro - which is only 15 min drive away.

We arrived at midnight and found everything was perfect, they even arranged for some milk to be waiting for our grandson. Breakfasts were terrific, the staff were excellent, helpful and accomodating. The small indoor pool was a treat for our grandson but sadly the weather was not great to use the outdoor pool and its facilities. Perched high on a south facing hill, it will be amazing in the summer with breathtaking views from the pool area. The rooms were super clean, well specified. No complaints at all, Highly recommended for its facilities, finish and setting.

The pousada is a beautiful space. Wonderful service and kind service. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Indoor pool was great for the kids. Didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor pool because it was March and weather was still cool. 5 out of 5 experience.

All members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Excellent unlimited continental breakfast served till eleven and convenient checkout of midday. Parking outside the hotel. Bar and restaurant available from half three till half eleven. Swimming pool and garden area a big plus. Very handy for the airport.

The staff was very friendly and they were able to speak English so that we could communicate back and forth. The rooms were absolutely clean and spotless and I stayed there a year ago in 2024. I would highly recommend this location even though it is a ways away from downtown. But if you're able to walk about 4 miles each way you can get there without having to pay a cab. The pool is clean and the breakfast were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend going to this location if you're visiting Faro.

Stayed at at this hotel before my flight home every year for the last 15 years, great hotel everything you need, breakfast included, nice pool. friendly staff, bar and bar meals, airport shuttle, very clean what more do you need.

My sons and I stayed at this hotel between 4th-7th June in a 3 bedded room. Overall it was a very good stay. The room/bathroom was clean. The fridge could be a tad noisy. The fridge proved useful as there is no tea/coffee facilities in the room and there is a supermarket quite close by. Breakfast was excellent and the limited meals at the bar were also very good, and not too expensive. There is a small swimming pool and a gym room.

Great hotel! Loved the buffet breakfast and the outdoor swimming pool. Great view from the balcony.

Hotel Aeromar is a real gem in the Algarve. The photos on the websites don't do the rooms justice. My room overlooked the Lagoon beach, stunning views and a beautiful sunrise can be viewed from the balcony. Rooms on the other side of the Hotel have views of the Atlantic Ocean and sunsets. The room had many home comforts, the ensuite shower and bathroom was great. A security chain lock on the room door was a big plus for me being a solo female traveller. Buffet breakfast excellent, lots of variety, cooked or continental and very nice coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh juice, etc. The Hotel restaurant also offers lunch and dinner and a Bar. The beach on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Hotel is incredible, miles and miles of soft white sand. Sun loungers can be rented or you can sit on your towel for free. Bars and restaurants with amazing cuisine along the beach front. Magical place. I was lucky to see a flock of Flamingos coming in to land near the Lagoon. I'm told it's common to see Flamingos in the area.

We stayed here for two nights, one at the beginning and one at the end of our holiday. The location is great for the airport only about 5 mins by car or you can get the 16 bus. The hotel looks a bit dated but has a certain charm which I liked. It is kept clean and the rooms were comfortable and had everything you would expect, all with sea or river views. The best part of the hotel is the bar/cafe/restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, pastries, breads and hot eggs, bacon, beans and sausages. Bar open all day for snacks and drinks (Super Bock on tap, served in cold glasses). Dinner in the evening was great value, lovely fresh fish. To top it all off the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and professional. Many larger hotels should come here and take notes. We will definitely return to this hotel if only for the fatias douradas.

Good location - walkable from the ferry, close to the beach, bars and cafes and a cheap Uber (€5) to the airport. The room was comfortable. Nothing amazing but the clean and comfortable en suite room was perfect for our needs. Great views from the cafe down stairs. The buffet breakfast is perfect for the morning of departure. (It included freshly squeezed orange juice.)

WOW! What a gem of a place! Booked a 5 day trip to Faro as we got a great deal in this Hotel. 5 min from airport. On arrival it looks a bit run down but when you step inside it's like a classic Portuguese dream! I loved it. Beautiful old fashioned Portuguese artifacts everywhere. We had the superior room with sea facing balcony. Beautiful immaculate clean large spacious room. Lots of lovely extras like fresh fruit, toiletries ect. Very charming. 1 minute walk to the most enormous stunning Golden beach ( which was empty!). 2 little beach restaurants which were both busy but not overly. We ate dinner I'm hotel which was fabulous. Lamb chops and steak were fabulous. Unfortunately on our 3rd day a storm hit! Was really exciting to watch the size of the waves become enormous. Because this is a small beach resort there is nothing to do apart from go to beach we decided to move into the city to a hotel with an indoor spa just to make the most of our r@r. Had it been good weather I would have spent all week here. Very reasonable priced and lovely professional staff. Thank you for our stay!

A small, traditional hotel ideally located to the beach; yet a short taxi drive from Faro International Airport. Travel from the hotel to explore Faro city via passenger ferry, bus, or taxi. Staying for longer than an overnight there is more time to discover and explore all that is on offer in this area. Although the information on this site currently writes that breakfast is an option at this hotel it was available with an ample selection in the buffet service of fruit, cheese, ham, breads and seemed to cater for those who are e.g. milk intolerant. The staff were very helpful and friendly ; and despite being very busy got to know ones preferences having stayed for longer than a night or two on route to either the airport or other parts of Portugal. Extras: Sea or Ria Formosa lagoon views from bedrooms, snack bar and restaurant (a great introduction to local food and cuisine; and Portugese wines, apertifs etc) and beautiful sunsets can be appreciated in the local area or in the snack bar, restaurant or on the upstairs terrace.

First of all I cannot believe some of the terrible reviews this place has had. It is a budget style hotel but it is modern, clean and functional and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. Modern, smart with a lovely big king size bed with crisp white linen. Nice bathroom with a bath and shower. Also a modern, efficient air-con unit. The staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was perfectly acceptable for €10. Lastly the hotel has a great location in the city centre and is walking distance to everything. Recommended.

Lovely, very clean otel. Small but perfecly formed twin room. Can't thank the Staff enough for accommodating us with an early check-in (normally 16:00hrs local time) Breakfast was of good quality and a choice of hot or cold buffet as well as cereals, breads and pastries. All Staff within the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If we had one negative - and this would be us being hyper critical - it would be the ensuite. It's a little tight. The shower door in the en-suite didn't close properly and the floor became a small pond when showering. The space between the shower cubicle and vanity unit is a bit tight for the toilet. However, as two small people, we managed fine. The Hotel itself is very central and the longer we stayed, the more convienient we realised it was for getting around Faro, being within walking distance to the bus station, train station and the marina.

Great room, big with a huge balcony. Bed was large and very comfortable. Big bathroom, shower was very good. Breakfast was great, good range. All staff were really friendly particularly the woman supervising breakfast. Location is great, quiet despite being near plenty of places to eat nearby. Check in online (urged to by repeated emails) worked fine, but couldn't validate check in and get key to my mobile, so had to do this at reception and get a key card (which was probably easier and better!)

Great hotel, within 10-15 mins walking distance to Faro Old Town, Marina and bus/train station, very near shopping street. Perfect for overnight stays, super convenient location. Room was large, spacious double bed with comfy mattress, duvet and included towels/toiletries, tea/coffee/kettle, and good Wifi. Everything looks newly refurbished, very clean, light and airy. I had a really nice welcome by hotel staff on arrival, i would recommend staying to any traveller.

We had a self catering house with a small garden and plunge pool. The house was perfect for three kids and two adults. Spacious, stylish interior that was well appointed. The communal pool area and club house was excellent with very attentive staff. Gated security offers great peace of mind.

Good for families. Lovely staff, friendly and warm athmosphere. Clean and safe. The shop was nice to have on site, but prices were high. No heating in house pool, but the joint pool was heated. Kids loved and wanted to come again!

Spacious, clean villa on a very well kept resort, 20 mins from airport. Villa has stair gates, pool gates and you can request cot, high chair etc. Really well set up for kids with an excellent kids club, heated communal pool with slides, trampoline and very nice restaurant for lunch (which you can also take away from). Car needed to get around.

Only stayed for a short break. The rooms are spacious and are cleaned daily. The beds are probably the most comfortable you’ll ever sleep in. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds close to the pool or in a shaded garden area. There is one thing you notice around this hotel is the wonderful smell, probably from the complimentary Molten Brown toiletries. The from reception to the housekeepers the staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely place to stay but a little on the expensive side.

Overall a very nice stay in a classic contemporary hotel. Rooms very nice & spent a lovely few hours by the pool which was well maintained with comfortable beds & quality towels. Restaurant by pool was also a treat with white linen & experienced waiters. Piano being played in reception was an added feature.

Location 25 min from Faro airport and Lagos an hour drive. You will want a car if you plan to visit the many beautiful beaches in the Algarve.

Big impersonal hotel but super clean, has got all the facilities, breakfast is amazing, everywhere you look, you see palm trees. The beach is 10 min walk away, or there is a free shuttle from the hotel. The hotel has a concession on the beach. You can hire a bed and shade and get a towel. It is very safe. Leave your books, cream etc..at lunch, walk 2 min and choice of 5 restaurants on the beach, then back to your bed. Always a lovely breeze on the beach. 6pm, back to the hotel for your 1st cocktail by the pool. What a life!

The hotel staff, especially Carlos, were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the main tourist area with lots of restaurants and cafés. The breakfast was basic but fine, the coffee was great, checkout at 12:00 was perfect for us, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Honestly, we can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Amazing staff tried their best to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was pre-packed because of Covid restrictions but chief was very helpful with picking up some tasty extras. Location is close to tourists landmarks and surprisingly quiet.

Great base for Algarve "Golden Triangle". Excellent location close to Quinta "Square" and the Formosa beach. Comfortable clean hotel with adequate lounge and kitchen facilities. Large pool. plenty of sun loungers. Speedy check in with pleasant efficient reception staff. Excellent breakfast. Advise asking for room on first or second floor with pool view (ground floor can be gloomy and lack of privacy). Definitely need a hire car here. Overall recommended for families and couples using it as a base for travel to golf and nearby resorts.

Young couple who are very familiar with the area having spent every year in summer here, first time to Formosa hotel and have to say this is an an louts gem of a hotel!! The breakfast was brilliant and pool was sunny all day and quiet all day always had beds free no pool bed games!! Stunning location and stunning hotel!! Loved our stay!

Hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Lovely pool area and no problem getting sunloungers. I would recommend a car as the hotel is not within walking distance of any other restaurants or supermarkets and taxi's are quite expensive, although not too far a drive from quinto do largo. The beach is lovely but sun beds are expensive compared to other areas in algarve as are the snack bars, etc. There was great choice at the breakfast buffet and the 2 bedroom apartments were very spacious. Would recommend.

This hotel worked very well for my family. The apartment style family room provided plenty of space for us to not be tripping over ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool looked inviting (too cold this time of year) and the beach was a reasonable walk down a nature trail. The children loved walking down to the beach. An access road to the few restaurants at the beach made it convenient for them to walk down with their Mother for a morning stroll while I finalized the day's activities and then drove down to quickly pick them up.

Fantastic stay at Martnhal Quinta. The 3 bed townhouse was huge and beautifully decorated (I think it had been recently refurbished). The kitchen was well appointed, rooms cleaned daily and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Downsides: the villa pool was pretty small (but the central pool is large and lovely), there are steps down to the villa so not ideal with a buggy, there is not much of an atmosphere at the resort centre. It could do with more of an evening restaurant. Overall, really recommend.

We hired a 2bed villa with pool , villa was great everything you could need . Maid service and concierge great . Shop had everything but wider selection at the local supermarket. Pool hangout great . My only comment for our villa was the sun loungers were not too comfortable and the restaurant deserted in the evenings . Lots of local fab restaurants to choose from

Cannot fault the villa at all. Last year we stayed there in a 4 bed detached villa and this year in a 3 bed townhouse as we had one less in party. We were worried it was going to be much smaller in comparison but we were pleasantly surprised. It’s great to have the communal pool to visit too and there is plenty of play equipment to keep children entertained. The breakfast is excellent if you want a day off. My only complaint is that although the villas were super clean, the toilet facilities at the pool were less so and not checked regularly.

Visited with my wife, daughter and 2 grandsons in a 4 bed villa with pool. Lots of space inside and very well equiped ... pool fenced off for safety of grandkids as requested. Breakfast buffet was good and staff very patient. Kids Club for 3 year old grandson was well organised and he enjoyed himself. Local golf excellent.

Friendly service. Nice outdoor space with warm swimming pool. The pool and outside area really make this hotel together with its position close to Faro airport and not far from the town. Good parking and quiet area.

Really liked this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the pool was a bonus. The breakfast was substantial and had many choices. The beds were of good quality. The staff were friendly and polite and very helpful. The only thing missing for me was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I thought the hotel was really good value and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Loved the chance to relax by the pool at the end of a long day driving. Plenty of parking in the forecourt. Our room on the first floor was spotlessly clean but Im not sure we like the Ibis mattress system as it moved off the base easily. A very basic breakfast is available from 4am which was perfect for our very early flight. The huge modern shopping complex about a 20 minute walk from the hotel was a bonus as it offered a large restaurant area with many dinner options.

Clean basic bedroom, reasonably comfortable. Small TV with plenty of freeview channels and adequate sockets for recharging own devices. No tea/coffee in room. In-house restaurant & bar - basic menu, quite expensive for pre-prepared meals. Near airport, so good as a stopover. Nice outside seating area with small swimming pool.

Claudia met me when I arrived and was so helpful and friendly, giving me advice on places to visit / eat etc as well as cycling route as I was on a cycling trip (good bicycle storage here too and she provided me with a hose to clean my bike). The studio apartment was lovely, absolutely spotless, nicely designed, cosy, comfortable and quiet. Great shower and everything I needed plus a gift of cookies and some delicious local oranges. The apartments open onto a lovely peaceful courtyard with seating areas and I had a balcony too. There is a washing machine and dryer which was really handy. Great location too. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Faro. Perfect stay!

Amazing apartment, very spacious and clean, quiet, perfect for 4 people. 1 big bedroom, 1 a bit smaller, big bathroom with large shower and extra toilet, well equipped open kitchen, big living room, large terrace. The apartment is conveniently furnished for 4 people, 6 could be a stretch. Airco in bedrooms and living room. Bedroom window shutters keep out all light if you want. Nicely decorated, we really felt at home. Gorgeous courtyard for shared use, easily accessible from the apartment. Lovely host who welcomed us with a big smile although our flight was somewhat delayed, very helpful and kind; she gave great suggestions for restaurants and trips and made some calls on our behalf to book tours. Location is perfect for exploring Faro on foot and the greater region with private or public transport. Plenty of restaurants in 5-10 min walking distance, supermarket and groceries shop within 100m. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cardeal Apartments, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The apartments are modern, spacious, and immaculately clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport. A special shout-out to Claudia, whose outstanding service truly made a difference during my stay. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her friendliness and professionalism were evident in every interaction, and she made me feel like a valued guest. If you're looking for a top-notch place to stay, I highly recommend Cardeal Apartments. You won't be disappointed!

The accommodations at Cardeal were perfect and we had no complaints. We only stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer and been very comfortable. Don't let some of the surrounding buildings concern you as inside the accommodations are very clean and modern. So far Cardeal has had the best shower in Portugal. The bathroom also had an electric outlet so you could dry your hair and get ready with ease (this has not been our experience so far in Portugal) so that alone was a huge bonus. The location is about 2 blocks from old town so was quiet at night but super close to be in the heart of where you want to be. There is a pastry shop about a block away that had great coffee and pastries (must try pastel de Faro (it's pastel de nata on steroids and is really good)) at below reasonable prices. Parking was only 3 euro per day (make sure you indicate if you need this when booking your reservation; we didn't know this step was needed but we were fortunate to be able to get a spot regardless). The beds are very firm which my husband loved. Claudia and her staff were all amazing and very helpful with suggestions for dinner and sites to see. Highly recommend Cardeal for your time in Faro.

So modern and beautifully decorated (I wish my own house was like it!), in a great location in central Faro, across the street from Chelsea (great restaurant) and a few steps from the marina and shops etc. Bed was so comfortable. Expected there to be noise at night with bars close by but room was well sound proofed. Highly recommend and will definitely return if we visit Faro again.

We loved our stay - the apartment was very cute, had everything that you might need to have a comfortable stay! Both the common spaces and the apartment were super clean and neat, you could also find a lot of information from tourist attractions to bus schedules :) Our apartment was nicely styled, with all small details that fitted to each other. Everything was functional. Sometimes you stay somewhere and miss very small details that doesn't make yours tay 10/10. In here, all the small details were there, which made the stay amazing and very home-like. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and also gives you tips on restaurants and places to see. The apartments are very centrally located - you step out of the building directly to cafes, shops etc. 5 mins walk to the bus station makes it also perfect place if you're going to explore other areas around Faro.

The host was wonderful - friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. The apartment was well laid out and looked the same as the online photos. Everything was well maintained and very clean. The mezzanine upstairs was great for kids with parents downstairs - privacy but still open and connected. The building provides access to a washing machine which was very handy for our family. Key card entry to the building and apartment were very handy. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Faro with good restaurants at the doorstep and easy walk to attractions.

We highly recommend these apartments. Renovated and decorated with care, the location can't be beat. In spite of being in the middle of a busy area, the room was very quiet. We loved the decor! The owner stated that each of the 7 apartments were decorated in their own style, and ours was very colorful and retro, very creative. The lady who met us to give us our keys was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our time of arrival. She gave us a map of the area, and pointed out locations of restaurants, things to see and do on the map. The bathroom facilities were appointed nicely and they provided shampoo and body wash which was appreciated and the shower had good water pressure and temperature control. There was a welcome basket with treats and snacks from the area along with a welcome note. Very nice touch. It was nice to be so close to things that we could just walk back and rest in between sightseeing and meals, etc.

Apartment was beautiful and had absolutely everything you could need. Great location and 5 mins walk from everything, supermarket, marina, bus station. Beds were comfy, shower was amazing, kitchen fully equipped. There was a washing machine you could use, and a clothes rack in the room which came in very handy. Book swap and lots of local info in the lobby. Lockers are available for luggage on your final day, which was very handy indeed and easy to use. Staff were all lovely, and very helpful and gave our apartment a mid week clean with fresh towels and linen. 1 flight of stairs up, which was not a problem for us, but worth noting for if you have pushchairs etc. There is then a lift from the 1st floor up. Welcome gift, and goodbye gift which was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again, and have already passed the details of apartments to a few friends. Thank you.

Casa da Madalena is ABSOLUTELY stunning and SPOTLESS. There are five shower rooms so there were never any queues fae the bathroom. 🚽 One is on the terrace, so you can shower under the stars. Every night guests are invited tae watch the sunset, and everyones politeness and willingness tae stop and ask about your day and your plans was a refreshing change tae anywhere I have stayed before. I was there fae the Moto Clube Faro rally and the rest of my club were staying in the AP Eva Senses. Fae the extra £800.oo I could have spent tae stay there, I would have received an ensuite and a rooftop pool.......🤷🏻‍♂️ Casa de Madalena had everything else, the exceptional staff, the spotless sleeping & showering facilities, the friendly guests, the low key vibe where everyone is welcome, and the 24hr reception. Don't forget the FLUFFY pancakes in the morning tae go wae your cereal. 🥞 😋 😋 I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

This place is a pure gem! Hundreds of reviews already stated it, but I will repeat again the main points of why you should stay here: - Quiet policy from midnight till 8:00. - Wide and comfy beds with thick curtains for privacy. Bed's not shaking when your neighbour is getting upstairs to his bed. - Air conditioning in bedrooms at nights. - Shower and toilet are located in one room, so you get your privacy while using them. Never had to queue for it. - Exceptionally clean in every corner of the house! - Awesome rooftop with hammocks and shower under the stars. - Amazing staff, friendly and helpful, being there for you 24/7. (My special thanks to Bandi who made me a really nice welcome) - Delicious pancakes every morning from 9:30, cereals, milk and coffee/tea are available from 7:30. - Beautiful and cozy design, holding authentic vibe of an old Portuguese house. But the most incredible thing about Casa da Madalena is the unique atmosphere they are creating for people to connect, socialize and immediately become one big bunch of friends! It's a perfect opportunity for a solo traveller with no particular plans, like me. Believe me, just stay there, show up for breakfast or sunset viewing and then just go with the flow! Half of the people I met there changed their plans and prolonged their stay for 1-2 more nights. This is the most amazing experience I ever had! Highly recommend to stay here for 3+ night in order to fully feel the vibe.

The beds were so comfortable and the hostel was clean. I wish I had stayed there longer. The staff is absolutely amazing, Natalia and Clara are so friendly and welcoming. The hostel has an incredible vibe and the breakfast they provide every morning is the perfect way to meet other people in the hostel. The pancakes are great too :). If you want you can even pay to get your laundry done, rent a bike or a towel. I met some pretty incredible people during my stay and it’s the perfect hostel for those travelling solo as it feels like a community. The rooftop is also a great common area to meet other people at the hostel and luckily there are few people in the hostel at a time so it feels like a tight knit crew. There are also quiet hours in the hostel to respect those that need to rest. So you’ll get the rest you need and everyone respects the rules which is great.

This hostel is one of my top favorites, where I truly felt like part of a family. From the moment I arrived, Marta made me feel at home, providing extensive information about what to see in Faro and encouraging group activities among guests, she also offers to the guests to borrow beach towel if needed. This experience exceeded my expectations and allowed me to meet many wonderful people taking part in many different groups activities. The rest of the staff was also amazing, especially Sara and Amanda, who helped me explore the city and provided valuable information whenever I asked. They even made delicious pancakes for breakfast! The hostel itself is lovely, with clean and comfortable rooms, a beautiful terrace, and stunning views. The communal areas were always lively and welcoming, making it easy to connect with other travelers. Highly recommended!

Location: On a quiet square with some parking, ten mins walk from train station and five from the waterfront. Mini-market opposite. Lots of good bars and restaurants in town (don't just stick to the ones on the waterfront, Domino and Via evVolta were also great). The ferries to the islands were cheap. My favourite island place was Farol were there is a relaxing beach bar. Staff: João, Ricardo and Katia were friendly, efficient and so helpful with any queries. Common areas: Exactly as seen on the website photos. Everything was beautifully clean and stylish. Particularly loved the rooftop terrace and took a few cuttings from the large array of well kept succulents! The kitchen area, where the gorgeous breakfast is served, is open to residents all day. Great if you want a tea or coffee with a slice of homemade cake (all provided) or to chill a bottle of wine in the fridge. It was a very social area so great for guests to meet each other. All the rooms looked lovely. Mine was small, but due to the high ceilings and amount of light from the two windows (one with small balcony) it was perfect for a solo traveller. The bed was extremely comfortable, good quality linens with socket in easy reach and the lighting was good. Efficient air con. No wardrobe, but hanging space with coathangers. Safe provided in room. Bathroom small but big enough. Good shower and plenty of thick towels. Room cleaned whenever requested and to a good standard.

Just a perfect stay ... 10/10 for everything! Joao and Catia were both amazing, so kind, friendly and knowledgeable about Olhao, the area and Portugal in general. I spent a wonderful five days here and loved every minute. The beautifully renovated old house is so conveniently located in among the quiet cobbled streets of the old town and yet everything from restaurants, bars, shops, ferries to the islands, trains to Faro and Tavira, etc., are all just within a few minutes' walk. The guest house is very cool, tastefully decorated and super clean. My room and bathroom were both perfect, white, light and very comfortable. The breakfast is to die for ... a huge array of fresh fruits, granola, cereals, breads, croissants, pastries, cakes, eggs, coffees, teas, and I am sure a few other things I forgot! I will definitely be back again soon and recommend anyone thinking of visiting Olhao looks no further than the amazing GuestMar.

The room was comfy, clean, and attractive, with high ceilings and lots of natural light, but also good ability to block out light for sleep. The bed is comfy and I slept really well there. Also the showers in Portugal tend to be small, and while the shower here isn't huge it was the biggest shower I encountered at any of the places I stayed at during my trip. Staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, honestly the best breakfast I've had at accommodations in a long time. Lots of options that are healthy, nutritious, and filling with lots and lots of fresh fruits. Location is convenient and it is easy to walk to the waterfront for dining and activities.

This was my second visit to GuestMar having visited last year too. It is a five minute walk from the bus station, ten from the train station and about seven to the central market area by the water. I stayed in the same room Pescador which is small, but due to the large amount of light entering through the door and windows, it does not feel too small for one person and has a small balcony. The bed is very comfortable, the linen is of good quality, the air-con works well and the black out curtains and shutters keep out the light at night. The shower is powerful and the lighting in the bathroom, together with the magnifying mirror is good for make-up application. Toiletries and a hair dryer are provided and the towels are good quality. The staff are all friendly and helpful, João, Filipa and Katia all speaking excellent English. Breakfast is a highlight with a great spread of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, pastries, juices and hot drinks. The kitchen is open to residents until 10pm and you are welcome to help yourselves to drinks and biscuits as well as having use of the fridge. This encourages a friendly vibe between guests. There is also a communal sitting area on the upper floor and a gorgeous roof terrace filled with plants. I will return again as I love Olhão and Guest Mar is a place that I feel very comfortable as a solo traveller.
