This was our second stay at the resort. The villa unit was a nice size with a very usable kitchen all very clean. We used all 3 pools and ate poolside. The resort has friendly programs. The only downside is poolside service is slow and sometimes hard to find. Weekends are noisy due to lots of families and kids using the large pool.

The pool is amazing and the main thing is, it is clean!! Beautiful view and a clean / cool pool - seriously so amazing!

Very nice resort. The pools are very nice, food was good at the restaurant by the pool. As an FYI, if you want to go to a swimmable beach, plan on driving over. Very short drive but walking over would be tough if you wanted to bring any beach chairs, etc.

Rooms are quite and peaceful. No noise at night. Main pool is one of the best pools I’ve ever seen. Food at Holohulu grill was great, however service needs huge improvements. The washer and dryer in the studio we had was very very convenient. We had wonderful experience at this hotel. Highly recommended.

Perfect for kids/family. Great experience. Fun pools, lazy river, kids pool, adult pool, slides, walk to beach.. beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Must visit and stay!!)

Pheonominal resort. Even the locals go there. You won't want to leave the resort. My 4 year old daughter alsolutely loved the pools and it was easy to get the energy out of her with all the pools and activities. I loved the lazy river and the ocean view suite was amazing.. probably the best suite I've stayed at or among the top 5 anyway, all time. I probably gained 10 pounds on the trip since it was difficult to stop eating at the breakfast buffet each morning. Loved it and will be back.

Very friendly staff who are happy to accommodate kids' needs, beautiful pools (especially the saltwater lagoon), gorgeous landscaping. Lots of seating and shade near the pools. Room was large and very comfortable. We also loved how quiet the guest room wings are - absolutely no sound disturbances. The dinner restaurants on site are excellent. Nice (if pricey) spa.

Decided to splurge on one night at the Grand Hyatt Kauai on our latest vacation. We did it strictly to get access to the pool area and we enjoyed it! Getting a resort pass would have been cheaper, but I'm glad we did it. The room was fairly spacious for 4, and the property itself was huge! Grounds were well maintained and can't beat the location. Our room was right by the pools so we got lucky. They give you reusable water bottles to use on property and had plenty of water stations. Staff was friendly and customer service was great. If it's in your budget, would recommend!

Walking into the lobby you’re met with s picture perfect view of the ocean. Every single detail was thought out perfectly. Our room was ready early and we checked in- had a small mishap with our room having a mildew smell but the team swapped rooms with no issue. Tide pools is worth every penny. Gorgeous and romantic. Both pools were phenomenal and we never had an issue with getting lounge chairs. The shuttle is a great service that you should take advantage of- so are the bikes.

I loved this place! Like a 50’s motor lodge with such manicured landscaping. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was great! Fresh fruit each morning along with cereals, yogurt , bagels and croissants. The pool is nice and you get giant pool towels ! The location is out of the way and relaxing. You do need a car and it’s free parking. The owner is on site and very nice

We stayed here during our trip to Kauai. It’s an older hotel but loved the setting. The breakfast was a nice bonus along w the birds. Owner was always there tending to the property. Pool was clean. We loved the ability to borrow items to use at the beach. We would stay here again. Music was by the pool a few evenings: )

We had such a super amazing time at the Kauai Inn! The slight detour do to an uncrossable bridge added to the adventure and the sights we might not have seen otherwise. Chris and his team were so friendly and welcoming! We arrived to live music on the patio. The breakfast buffet and 24-hour coffee was perfection. We so enjoyed the pool. They even brought out floats for us to use. The rooms are spacious and comfy. And the bath towels were amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Owner Phillip and his Manager Chris were very accommodating , always available. Breakfast was great, music provided on certain evenings were amazing. Kauai Inn is a quiet hideaway with easy access to the beaches and restaurants in Lihue. Its a great central location between driving to the east/north side of island and west side of island. Pool and spacious grounds were awesome.

We’d stayed here a few years ago and need a few more days to enjoy the south east side of Kauai so this was an obvious choice. Still super clean, laid back and inexpensive by Hawaiian standards. Has free range peacocks! Pool deck refinished and the rooms are older but comfortable. 24/7 coffee!!! With a continental breakfast included. Note the bridge from Nawiliwili harbor is still out so you have to come by the Menehuni fish ponds. A beautiful view.

Beautiful grounds, a few minutes walk to the beach and a quiet property. Spacious patio facing the coast. The athletic club across the street has great workout facilities and a small but very nice pool as well as a bar if you want the “ drinks by the pool” experience.

Location is perfect and the feel of the whole property with lots of space in between buildings was very relaxing. Being able to walk straight out to Kiahuna or Poipu beach was just fantastic. The ability to use the Poipu Beach Athletic club gave us access to a fun pool for kids as well as pickleball courts and many other activities. Poipu is such a hub of activity with the turtles, shopping, golf, ziplining, hiking and many other things it really was the perfect location.

The setting and grounds of Kiahuna Plantation were great! The beach was perfect for sunbathing, playing in the waves, swimming and learning the surf. The sunsets were gorgeous. Our apartment was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. The apartment had a lot of extra things that made our stay better e.g body boards, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, cold bag. The Poipu Beach Club was a great additional benefit, with a lovely pool, gym, tennis courts and games.

Great location, access to the beach. Local restaurants within walking distance. Lots of car parking. Bungalows well equipped, clean and comfortable. Air con in the main unit, ceiling fan in the bedroom plus some stand alone fans. Property came with beach chairs, mats etc Access to fitness rooms and pool definite bonus

Close to the beautiful Beachs! The pool is just a short walk and its beautiful. The restaurant and bar are delicious and music was awesome!! Surf lessons top notch. Grass are was nice. Ceiling fans!!! Coffee spots and lots of restaurants close.

The grounds & facilities are beautiful & well maintained. Staff are welcoming & available. Pool is huge with five hot tubs (great kids pool with rock slide that is completely separate) lots & lots of loungers, fresh pool towels always available & the gorgeous Kalapakī Beach is steps away. Location is very central for exploring the island & short drive from the airport. We visited other resorts & would definitely choose to return to Royal Sonestra in the future.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel ! All of the staff (front desk, restaurants, pool/beach service, parking) were very kind, helpful and cheerful. Our room was a garden view with a lanai and just a short walk to the pool. Room was clean and quiet. Very short walk to Duke’s restaurant and a very short drive from the airport. Good home base to travel to other parts of the island.

Beautiful property and grounds. Rooms feel new and well maintained. Lots of options in and out of property for dining. Kalapakī beach is footsteps away and my kids enjoyed playing in that beach for hours. Staff from the lobby, grab and go, Kukui’s bar, and even the pool hut were all very friendly and helpful. My family loved the giant pool as well and that there were 5 hot tubs to choose from. Parking was easy as well. My only complain esp with 4 kids is that the bathroom doors did not have locks.

The Sonesta was really lovely and we had a great room with an ocean view. My only complaint would be its location so close to the airport. During the day, so many helicopters made their way to their tours and no amount of water features could storm out the noise. I would still stay there again as they had every thing: beautiful pool, great beach and the dining options the bar by the pool was great. Loved the nightly music.

Amazing hotel, friendly and welcoming staff and beautiful grounds and pool. The beach at the front of the hotel is one of the best in Kauai. It's never crowded and has beautiful mountains view. The hotel was recently renovated. The room is very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bathroom is great too. The location of the hotel is also great. There are a lot of restaurants and stores around. It's definitely one of the best hotels in Kauai. Can't wait to go there again.

Lovely resort - the service was top notch. We were in the hotel with a great view of the pool and ocean. Food was decent - only ate breakfast at the resort. Turtles were plentiful at a nearby beach. Pool and hot tub were nice. Good towels and attentive staff. We stayed at the hotel, right on the beach- nice room with balcony

Large hotel in its own spacious grounds with fantastic beach . Two pools , pool restaurant/bar and Al a carte only open Thursday to Sunday when we were there. Very helpful staff and well equipped rooms.

The Westin Resort at Princeville was a dream! We found the location excellent as there were so many great things we did while we were on the North Coast of Kauai. My husband and I were able to relax by the pool one afternoon and it was so peaceful; we appreciated the 'quiet" pool and the calm atmosphere. The room was great and having a washer and dryer was super helpful. If you plan to explore what the north coast of Kauai has to offer I would 100% recommend staying here.

Great view of ocean and sunsets from room. Large room with full amenities including a large balcony on edge of property away from noisy pools and screaming children. Nice beachfront and acceptable pool. Parking was free which we appreciated as we rented a car for our entire stay. This allowed us to visit Waimea Canyon which we highly recommend.

Check-in process was easy, staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the facilities were all clean. Some reviews mention having to walk across the street from the villas to the main pool, but this is about a two minute walk and was not an issue for us at all. There is a smaller, quieter pool in the villas, but no hot tub. Lava's was great for food and drinks. We had a great time and would stay here again.

It was clean and comfortable. The owners left a very nice welcome basket with coffee and goodies that was much appreciated. The front porch is quiet and has comfortable furnishings for relaxing. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach and more peaceful than property right on the beach. They also provided 2 big beach towels, 3 beach chairs and a beach umbrella, which was all very nice to have.

My stay in the Coral room at Hideaway Cove Poipu Beach was fantastic! The location is unbeatable, with Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach just a short walk away. The Coral room (1 bedroom/1 bathroom) was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessities. The kitchen had everything needed for meal prep, and the private lanai was a perfect spot for morning coffee. The property also provided beach gear (beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler), making beach trips even better. I highly recommend Hideaway Cove for its comfort, convenience, and proximity to Poipu's attraction.

Hideaway cove was a perfect place for our visit to the Poipu Beach area. Our unit, The Coral was beautiful, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed and was an easy walk to the shore/beach area. The building was extremely well kept and the grounds were beautiful with mature, lush gardens surrounding the home. My only regret was that we stayed for only 2 nights. The owner/manager was interactive and sent all the information that we needed for check in/out ahead of time and checked in to see if we needed anything by email while we were there. All the little details were taken care of, even a pitcher of delicious cold tropical juice waited for us in the fridge and a wonderful basket of goodies on the kitchen counter! It was home away from home, only better in tropical paradise!

Everything was as they said it would be. Many extras we did not expect. Beach towels provided, beach chairs provided along with a cooler. Very comfortable and convenient to the beach. Herb was very friendly and returned calls promptly. Will definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here in the Dolphin Studio. Best amenity was the coolers, ice pack, beach chairs, and umbrella which made our beach days extremely comfortable. Everything else was great as well. The owners were helpful and attentive. We had a nice breakfast on the lanai each morning with our very own 'Hood Cat who sat politely with us. It was also great to be able to do laundry.

We were looking for a budget friendly motel during our 4 night stay in Kauai…I had read the reviews prior to booking, and I found most of them to be “spot on”. Although you are not on the beach with a view and its an older hotel, the amount of money we saved was so worth it! Our unit was VERY clean and comfortable- we loved having a kitchen, as well as a smart TV to watch a netflix movie after an active day. Housekeeping was so friendly!!!! Location was central to all the activities we did while visiting.

Close to airport, Kauai museum, easy to walk to breakfast and other restaurants. Great place to crash after long flight. Then stock up at Walmart or Costco before driving to Princeville. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Feels homey and quaint. Lovely little garden area with palm trees

During my delightful 10-day stay at KPH, I had the pleasure of encountering an exceptional team that truly enhanced my experience. A visit to Hawaii is always fantastic, and it's the people who make the place special. Gratitude is extended to Lei, the Housekeeper Manager, and Ron, the General Manager of the hotel, along with all the staff members who exuded the Aloha spirit throughout my stay. My accommodation, Room #24, featured a clean room with a convenient mini kitchenette, allowing me to store and reheat food as needed. Although daily coffee was provided, I preferred getting it from the lobby, relishing the pleasant company of the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Special mention goes to the charming chickens and the affectionate orange cat, Mango, who added to the unique charm. What truly stands out in my memory is the genuine connection formed with the hotel's extraordinary people. A heartfelt appreciation goes to Lei, Ron, and their dedicated team for exemplifying professionalism and courtesy, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and thoroughly enjoy their stay. Ron's captivating lesson on ancient Hawaiian history was particularly enlightening and instrumental in planning my days. The Kauai Palms Hotel to my delight was a very relaxing and cozy hotel. My friends and I reserved a room with 3 beds, which also included a kitchen! We brought back leftover dinner meals from restaurants, so we utilized the refrigerator, microwave and kitchen sink often. I must say that our room was very spacious too. The hotel staff members were wonderful and very friendly to us during our stay. I especially enjoyed meeting the Hotel Manager (Ron Kikimoto), who willingly shared with the hotel guests his vast knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and history. There were various interesting ancient artifacts at the hotel lobby along with a large wall map of Kauai. Lastly, I inadvertently left behind a few souvenirs at the hotel room. Fortunately, the observant staff member (Olivia) found them and alerted Ron Kikimoto. He in turn informed me and shipped the items to my home in Virginia, which I happily received yesterday - what a relief!! My heartfelt thanks to Ron for his quick response on this matter. When I return for another visit to Kauai, I will definitely make reservations at the Kauai Palms Hotel without hesitation, and the price was very reasonable!! Aloha & Mahalo!!!

The bed was super comfortable. Staff were lovely. AC worked perfect. Everything was clean and towels were changed after a few days which was great. Also, getting beach towels was brilliant. Free coffee and nice to has a fridge in the room too. Perfect stay and pretty good value for Hawaii prices.

The Waiohai Beach Club was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in with family. The two bedroom suites were spacious and offered everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and had several pools and hot tubs. This location was right on a nice beach. There was plenty of parking, loungers around the pool and beach area, pool towels, rental equipment for water sports, and an outdoor bar near the beach. It is within walking distance of a plaza with dining and shopping.I highly recommend it and would love to go back!

Lovely and well manicured resort that is perfect for families...it has it all. Fun pools for kids, big plush lawns, excellent beach (swim-able, Hawaiian monk seals, turtles ), and great gym. Rooms are good size. We had 2bd/2bath with a full size kitchen, inside dinning table, and out-side dinning on our balcony. View was of manicured garden, ponds, and waterfall. Numerous out-door barbecues available, no waiting. Beach-side restaurant/bar was good. Food was reasonable and drinks were resort rates. Grand kids gave it a big thumbs-up! Staff was helpful.

Absolutely perfect! The room was so comfortable. The kitchen was large. The beach was excellent. I do wish there was more restaurants on site but the pool bar/restaurant was fine and open 11-7??. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and large. Not too big of a resort and able to park close to room easily

Excellent stay. Went with a family of 6 and had an amazing time. The rooms in building 7 were clean, comfortable, and in perfect location to the pool and beach. You cannot ask for anything else from a hotel/ location. Hotel staff was attentive and were always helpful.

We had a "no-view" room with a king bed on the 2nd floor right off the main lobby. This ended up being a garden-view room w/o a balcony and suited us fine for one night. Room and bed were comfortable. Furniture looked dated but everything appeared clean. Pool area and beach access were lovely.

Really enjoyed my time at this hotel. I was on a solo birthday trip, but they went above and beyond to be sure I was comfortable. Pool area was beautiful and I enjoyed the 7am yoga that the hotel offered. My favorite thing was the pool bar and all the food selections were yummy. Only thing would be parking late at night, the lot gets full so it was hard to find a spot coming back late, but I had such an amazing time and the hotel is located close to many restaurants and conveniently on the beach. Thank you!

We love this hotel. Feeding the koi at breakfast was something my kids talk about all the time. The pool was perfect, beach safe for little ones with a sort of rock jetty creating little pools for them. Horses in front of the property, easy access to drive to other areas of the island. Perfect for families

The resort was very clean and seems like it was renovated recently. The pool deck was great because it was spread out and you weren’t crawling over people in and around the pool. Plenty of activities for the family. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Well worth the money.

Beautiful pool and garden areas. Beach access. We liked that this resort is not on top of other hotels - it is a standalone property. The food was high quality for all of their options. We liked the entertainment in the bar each evening. There is some room for improvements though -- like remodeling the rooms (ie. replace the soiled damp carpet, replace the tired upholstered furniture, etc.) Also, the resort should add more chairs and umbrellas to the pool area for when it gets crowded.

Beautiful property with a very nice walkable beach within steps. 4 nice pools to sit around. Biggest complaint regarding pool area is lack of chairs. You literally have to go and scope them out in the morning if you want one. There is more than enough room for at least twice as many as are there. Overall, very nice experience and will stay here again.

Very peaceful. Pool was lovely. Pool was fenced which is important for little kids. Great big grassy area for kids to play. Walking distance of the beach.

Our spacious 1-bedroom apartment had a fine garden view and was not far from a swimming pool. It was easily within walking distance of the beach. The appliances were up-to-date; the bed was comfortable; the air conditioner and fans kept us cool. The cable TV and Wi-Fi were in working order. This quiet area was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay here, as we knew we would, since this is our third visit to the Aston at Poipu Kai. Reliable excellence.

Our 2 bed/2 bath room was nice and spacious. We had multiple pool options and was walking distance to the beach. The hotel staff was super helpful and lovely. The only drawback I would say is that our unit was a bit dark, but the unit was clean and seemed to be well maintained with a nice big kitchen.

Clean condo beautiful view of well Manicured property. The note property is immaculate. Pool clean everything on working order. Full kitchen and bath. Walking distance to beach! Excellent restaurant within walking distance! I was just super impressed with this property!

Beautiful grounds and pools, the condo itself was spacious. There is a greenbelt that connects to Poipu Beach (0.2 miles) and Shipwreck Beach (0.5 miles). Very easy, beautiful flat walk. They also supply you beach towels.

They moved us to a better unit after 2 nights... beautiful ocean view and well equipped kitchen. The pool is across the street and up the hill. Pretty much a kiddie pool. I would review it as “no pool” at the resort.

Beautiful grounds. Very comfortable and clean. Beach was minutes away. Athletic center was across the street for pool, jacuzzi, gym. Super easy to get around and the birds and flowers were just amazing🌺

building 20 is in the center of the complex so parking was not great-especially loading and unloading due to the distance from the unit to parking. The unit was very nice but could use more lighting. great beach on location, perfect for swimming but snorkeling not great. nice complex and lovely grounds. most disappointing was the pool was across a busy road and not close at all. No laundry in the unit-not close as well. so we took our dirty laundry to our next destination. no time or interest in waiting hours to do laundry while on vacation!!!! we liked Prince Kuhio much more.

Couldn't have been more pleased. Our place was clean and really met our expectations. I travel quite a bit and it was great. The workout facility was better than you're gonna get at most any other resort and the location was perfect. The pool was not this properties strong suit, but at the end of the day, we were spending most of our time at the beach so it really didn't matter. I totally recommend this facility.

The resort is older but located close to the airport and has reasonably good amenities. Pool and tennis courts were nice (we didn't use them). Rooms were clean and they had beach and bath towels. Good space overall and great for our stay in Kauai. Kitchen was also nice and very usable. Overall good experience but don't expect a fancy resort.

Check in was fast. Clean. Kitchen adequately stocked. Loved the pool area and grills. Glad they recycle. We were group of 6 but set up was for 4. Did it care for sleeping arrangements ( twin with trundle, mahogany furniture bed conversion cumbersome, albeit comfy mattress.

Great location to do sightseeing around the island. Pool area and grills were well maintained. The air conditioning was very noisy and on a 6 hour timer. We had one air conditioner that leaked onto the balcony making a large puddle.

We have stayed in a variety of places and I think that this place is just the right amount of everything. It wasn’t busy or noisy. The accommodations we exactly what we needed for a laid back family of four. The pool is great awesome location the grounds are clean.

Excellent accommodations. Our place was newly renovated with fresh paint, new flooring, new kitchen appliances. Unit was very clean. Parking was great. We had our own covered garage parking space. We were given an upper floor unit, as requested. Only observation, not a complaint, is that there is no elevator. This was not a problem for my wife and me, but it might be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Very nice central location only minutes from the airport. We would most definitely stay at this property again.
