We paid for early check in and had requested no feathers due to feather allergy. We had to ask 2 times to get the pillows changed. We traveled for 13+ hours and paid for early check in but was unable to take a nap because of the feather pillows.

Service was very good with reasonable prices given it's such a nice hotel. Didn't book breakfast but there are plenty places around the area if needed. Also close to restaurants and bars on the beach front and surrounding area. I'd initially stayed in a different hotel in the same area for a few nights before moving to this one and it is definitely worth paying the slightly higher price for this than the others a street or two back for the quality you get here. Can't wait to return one day.

A good location at the end of Copacabana beach, which was just across the road. Our room was good with everything we needed and quiet. The lobby area is small and can get very crowded with tour groups. Asked for a later check out but they said they needed the room. Breakfast was good with a variety of options and tea/coffee served to you . The best part of the hotel is the roof top bar and pool (though small was very clean). We spent most of our time when in the hotel in this area. Spectacular views from up here and not bad bar food in large portions.

2 nights were excellent. Clean and modern hotel across the beach. Rooftop bar and pool was excellent. The staff was excellent and kind. Safe and peaceful location despite being across the beach. I will return.

Great service, big room, nice shower water pressure, great view from pool area on 19th floor. Breakfast is overpriced and any espresso drinks will be charged extra on top of the price paid for breakfast…that was a bad deal and therefore we chose to eat it there only once. Also, coffee in the room should be FREE….include it on the room rate already.

Amazing location. great shuttle to/from airport, made my 7am flight stress free, clean, regular (non-electric) shower, super comfortable king size bed, good early breakfast (starts 5am), friendly staff, good exercise room with two different sets of weights and decent variety of equipment, nice pool.

Location is great for layovers. In out case, my parents are scared of driving through linha vermelha at night and our flight was 1am, they stayed there overnight while we all went to the airport by 10pm with the shuttle provided by the hotel and then they went back to sleep. Very convenient for them to park their car at the hotel and all of us to use the shuttle rather than deal with airport parking. The pool is nice, though not heated, the restaurant has delicious food for dinner at reasonable prices if you’re paying in dollars and breakfast , included in the rate, is very good too.

Perfect for being close to the airport and really liked the pool. My room was very comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Property was alright, there is very little space in the rooftop pool and chairs for the pool. They were all gone by the time the pool opened. Rooms were pretty good and location was great.

Perfect location - couldn't think of a better one, just a few steps to the Copacabana beach, bars, restaurants and shops but in a quite area at the end of the promenade, lovely swimming pools and rooftop bar with sunning views on Copacabana beach, Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar loaf. This is a great hotel it is modern and clean. The breakfast is amazing so much to choose from. The rooms are a good size. I had the partial sea view and it was a great view. The shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The hotel is further out from the centre of Rio but if you want to be more chilled then this is good and you can easily get an Uber. The staff were very helpful. The location across from the beach is perfect and there are restaurants to walk to.

Can and stayed for 10 nights with the boyfriend we had the absolute best experience here straight from checking in. Had such a lovely welcome. The room was perfect and was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Breakfast included, great selection which changes. Beautiful fresh cakes. The balcony was lovely we had a sea and also mountain view. The beach is seconds away. Perfect location, couple min drive to a strip with lots of bars/restaurants. There is also 24/7 room service which is very reasonably priced. We will be coming back. Thank you to all the amazing staff

I had a great stay at Laghetto. Being across the beach and having complimentary beach chairs and umbrella in a safe area is a huge bonus. Ubers are super affordable in Rio and had no issues getting around the city. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing and I would come back just for that. Will say though, the facilities do need a little upkeep. Could tell the cleaning in my room was not the best and some of the shelving needed fixing and walls needed repainting. I noticed a bit of mold around the shower. l Overall would give the stay a 7.5/10.

Usually I do t write reviews however I have to make an exception this time to express how amazing the entire staff was during our 8 days stay at LSH Laghetto lifestyle. Rooms extremely clean, unbelievable delicious breakfast , a selection that should be illegal lol, and the front desk receptionist is so friendly that makes you think if people Like that truly exist …. Kudos to Alan, Vinicius, and the entire crew of that amazing place… I can’t wait to come back to Rio and stay there again…. LSH!!! You rock!!! Thank you for all you did for my husband and I. You also have a game room to play a round of pool, or can retreat to sauna room to steam off all those caipirinhas. Staff (Pablo, Leo to name a few) are so hospital and professional. I was sick during my stay and their tentativeness (and the comfort of the hotel) certainly made the experience much more endurable. Hotel is also pretty close to main area of Santa Teresa by foot.

The hotel itself is beautifully designed and the interior design is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and make you feel at home. We stayed during the off season and there weren't many guests and we had the pool / sauna mostly to ourselves. All of the staff were amazing, very friendly and anticipated all of our needs. The food was great and we decided to eat in the restaurant twice during our stay. We left well rested despite lots of tourist activities during the day. When in Rio again we will definitely stay there again!

If you like small boutique hotels with exceptionally friendly / efficient staff then this is just the place you need for Rio The location is great in terms of being close to Santa Teresa. The hotel itself is exceptional with an excellent pool that has great views and is not overlooked . Small hotel, so no problem getting a lounger. All the staff are extremely efficient, they really get to know you and could not be more helpful. The rooms are great and we also had a free upgrade for the last 2 days of our stay. So good, that I am leaving a review on more than one website!

The hotel was beautiful and we loved the pool area. The staff were incredibly helpful with our late check in and check out. The breakfast, bar food and cocktails were all fantastic. We loved this hotel!

Overall we had a lovely stay in Rio de Janeiro at this hotel. We stayed 14 nights in the month of Feb here at this hotel Positives: Clean modern hotel with nice room, very friendly staff and always willing to help and support , quiet so there was no massive disturbances. Nice pool access and gym area. Easy usage of things around the place. Location can access grocery store near by and pharmacy. Bed very comfortable Housekeeping was excellent daily and appropriate times. Just across the road from the Olympic Park which u can acces the grounds but inactivity (waste of money) Shuttle bus given for local beach daily which was good. Negatives: Location not ideal as 45 min bus journey to main hear of Rio- although this is easy to navigate can be tiredsome repeated journeys. Breakfast was the same every day buffet but not many options. Shower occasionally ran out of hot water and maintenance came to fix several times unable to Difficult to organise transport and more expensive due to location for all excursions. Each of the excursions due to location we had to wake up and be ready from 6am meaning missed breakfast sometimes which was not good. Overall trip was pleasant hot and good time was had but wouldn't recommend the hotel to go to all the sightseeing tours and visiting Rio. But if you want a quiet restful break excellent hotel with little outside travel

I recently travelled to Rio together with my three children (two teens and an eight year old) and stayed here for a week. We had adjoining, family-style rooms that were very comfortable and well appointed. Our experience was exceptional and started before we even arrived. I chose this property because it appeared to be in a safe neighbourhood, located right across from Olympic Park, and was great value for money. One of the kids needed access to a rowing training facility, and staff at the hotel went out of the way to find both a nearby gym that has rowing machines, and also arranged for her to train at the same rowing club that hosted the Olympic rowing events. All of this was arranged pre-arrival via email by one of the hotel's staff. We had an amazing check-in experience, and front desk staff again went out of their way to help us book a guide and tickets to a soccer game at Maracana Stadium (an amazing experience). On our last day, the hotel allowed us a late check-out at no additional charge. The rooftop pool is absolutely stunning, and they have a great gym as well. Notes - be sure to have birth certificates, notarized consent letters and any other documentation you may need if you're traveling with children. The hotel is about 12 km from the closest metro station so be prepared to use the rapid bus system, taxis or Uber to get around. And the hotel's restaurant is a bit hit and miss.

Cannot give a complete review because the hotel was not quite complete during my two week stay for the Rio Olympics. Like much of Rio, this brand new hotel came right down to the wire in being ready for the games. Id say the place was 85% complete.That said, what WAS ready was very good. Location was great for the Olympics as it is right across the street from Olympic Park. Its in a very nice residential/business neighborhood. A full supermarket is just next door and a huge mall about a mile away. However, not the best location for seeing the must see sights of Rio. It is a good half hour ride or a lot more depending on traffic. I did not use public transportation so cannot comment on how long it would take by bus or train. I can say that cab fare and Uber in Rio is VERY cheap so its not a bad way to see the sights. More on the hotel. Staff was very friendly, with a special shout out to the bell boys who were very nice and helpful. Most of the staff spoke English, though as always I tried to use the basic language of any country I visit. Hotel IS brand new so rooms very clean. Not huge but not tiny either. Fantastic rain shower heads in walk in showers. Great rooftop pool that has wonderful views and eventually a bar. A real highlight was the hotel restaurant. VERY nice breakfast buffet and the burger I had there was outstanding.

Stayed at this hotel during the recent Olympics in Rio and on the whole can't really complain about much. The hotel was very well situated for access to the Olympic Park (and the IBC / MPC - press areas) but is a bit on its own with regard to places to go out for a meal or drink. I had a room on the 12th floor and never managed to get internet during my whole stay (despite constant reminding to the front desk - it was a problem they knew about but didn't fix during the 3 (yes THREE) weeks of my stay. The rooftop pool is small but nice to go to although the bar up there never got completed during my stay!! Gym is OK and has good outlook. Used the Spa once it opened and massage wss good and reasonably priced. Rooms themselves are quite small but have most things you'd expect. Can't really recommend it but can't dismiss it either.... Unless you're doing something that involves the Olympic Park I'd look at other areas.

Hotel is nice. My room had a view that was also really nice. Breakfast was great with many options. Staff was very friendly and supportive, because I don’t speak Portuguese. All staff were friendly and attentive. Rodrigo was so helpful and I can’t thank him enough.

Choice of two pools. Monkeys in the surrounding trees. Nice walk to a beach, we heard, but we were content with the pools since our stay was brief. Short taxi ride to lots of shops and restaurants.

This was an amazing experience. We’re so glad we started our trip here. It was ideal to relax here for the first two days in Rio. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, the view is stunning and the pool open late. The rooms so spacious clean and the terrace with the view such a bonus! We loved staying here.

Breakfast was great! A floating breakfast in the pool. Simply fabulous. The location was private and the views were amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a hidden gem. You have to stay here at least once in your trip. Love the floating breakfast option in the pool with the mountain view. Beautiful location and nice staff. It’s pricy but it worth it, trust me.

Casa Geranio is an oasis tucked away in the hills of Santa Teresa! I loved the design aesthetics - a stone accent wall in the bathroom and marble shower in the bathroom, gorgeous seating area with a partition between the bed and nice linens. The owner is very friendly and gave me a great restaurant recommendation - he obviously loves what he does! The room was air conditioned, which is nice with the heat/humidity of Rio in the summer. Infinity pool has plenty of lounge chairs with great views of the downtown skyline. The breakfast in the morning is amazing! You will love your stay here!

This was one of the most exquisite properties I’ve ever stayed on and loved the entire experience. The owners and staff are all incredibly attentive and helpful, and the view from breakfast and the infinity pool alone are enough to make me come back. With only 4 rooms available on the whole property, it was an exclusive experience that often felt like a completely private booking. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to be back.

We loved this boutique hotel, it is exceptionally beautifully designed, has a wonderful infinity pool and glorious breakfasts. We were so beautifully looked after, nothing was too much trouble. We felt safe walking to the bars and restaurants in the area at night, it is a lovely area full of big old houses and there is lots of live music within walking distance but not audible from the hotel. Thoroughly recommend.

Casa Geranio is exquisite and absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is exceptional and the hosts charming. They really care about their guests. We saw amazing wildlife around the pool, the view from the pool area is simply stunning and breakfasts are amazing.

Superb boutique hotel with extraordinary views, well-appointed spaces and lovely, helpful, well-organised staff. The design and layout of the property is gorgeous. Every detail is thoughtfully placed. The view from room 8 is OUTSTANDING! We were served breakfast by the pool and enjoyed the honor system with all food and drinks when the main house is closed. The view and tranquility from the pool is a once in a lifetime view and experience. The ladies and gentlemen that attend to the guests were SO sweet. It felt like staying at someone’s fancy home!

The views! The pool! Breakfast! Hosts! This was absolutely a fantastic start of our Latin America trip. Highly recommended for the lush surroundings, pool and views over Sugar Loaf and Christ. It is a bit far away from the rest of town but that’s okay.

View from the balcony and especially from the pool and breakfast areas were incredible. Staff were very accommodating and the self service pool bar was nice to have.

My husband and I were blown away by everything this b&b had to offer. The breakfast, sleeping accommodations, pool, and views are spectacular. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and well mannered. Breakfast was included in the price, with additional pool time after check out. (Reasonably priced!) We can’t wait to return!!

Room was spacious with a balcony. Partial sea view. Sitting areas were very stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. Pleasant garden with panoramic view of Guanabara Bay. Pool and bar area was nice. All staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive.

Staff very helpful, friendly and always on hand. Accommodation exceptional. Very good breakfast. Location great for walking around and taking in views across city. Fantastic view across bay from breakfast room and from pool area. Taxi/Uber/car advisable for descending in to town. Far from beaches but the local area made up for this. Cafes, bars and restaurants serving local and north-east food in abundance. I would love to go back to Gerthrudes.

I just stayed 4 nights at the Copacabana Palace Hotel. I highly recommend. The service was impeccable, from concierge to housekeeping. From the moment we arrived, Eduardo was incredibly friendly, helpful, and funny! Eduardo is a gem and was a highlight of our stay. Clebes at the pool is also amazing! He took care of everything we needed do our downtime by the pool was relaxing.

Absolutely amazing hotel with biggest pool in RDJ. The staff and at every position goes beyond to help the customer and we really appreciate how welcome they made us feel. There is not a single request that is every not given 150% attention and so polite helpful people. Rooms are great and girls loved the pool/ocean view. We recommend this to everyone.

Absolutely loved staying here. We were upgraded from a city view to sea view, which was fantastic. Bed was exceptionally comfortable, large room, free champagne and Halloween chocolates a lovely touch. Staff were consistently excellent, beautiful food and drinks. Samba music by the pool on Saturday was great fun. We were very impressed and would certainly stay there again. Worth the price.

We loved this hotel. A real oasis in the hills away from the amazing hustle and bustle of downtown Rio. Wonderful staff who were very happy to help you out. A lovely restaurant where we celebrated our friend’s birthday. Wonderful balcony room with a slight view of Christ Reedemer. Loved the pool and pool bar, although the cocktail making could do with some attention, and the staff there were slow. Would come back to stay if ever in Rio again.

The property and pool are gorgeous! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only downside was slow pool bar service. Also consider the location if you will be relying on ubers- often times drivers cancel because of the difficulty getting to the top of the hill. I will definitely recommend the hotel and stay again if I return to Rio.

My stay was a business stay since I had to work in downtown Rio. The service and accommodations are great and the food is high quality. The view from several rooms, the pool and the restaurant are also very nice. The only problem is that the room where I stayed had no internet coverage. The only place I could have descent internet access was at the lobby or the pool which was a problem in my case when I wanted to work on the room.

Very clean hotel. Nice terrace with swimming pool on the roof of the hotel. Good breakfast, stuff working in the restaurant is polite. When dealing with two issues that arose with the safe box and in the bathroom, the clerks were very efficient. The geographical position of the hotel is good. Big safe box.

really liked the place - we actually moved out of an Airbnb in St Theresa, where we didnt feel secure and were so happy to have chosen the hotel - its calm and the neighbourhood is nice and bustling and we felt rather secure. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is amazing! Great plus for the pool and the sauna, we would stay here again.

Great scenery, wonderful staff accommodating every need where everything is possible, clean and very hygienic, efficient air conditioning, great room, pool, beach, facilities, breakfast worthing paying for with the room booking, tours and other great activities available for all ages. A great location if you want a quiet atmosphere to relax on the balcony with great views.

Perfect for a weekend gateway. Rooms are spacious, amenities are great and staff is very attentive, specially Ronald that makes sure everything is perfect. Pool and beach services make a sustancial difference comparing to other hotels near by.

The hotel was nice and clean. I had a corner room on the second floor, There wasn’t much of a view but it was still nice. I enjoyed drinks at the rooftop pool. The views were beautiful. Especially at night. The pool is very small and I never saw anyone in the pool. I ordered room service one night and was surprised how delicious it was. Breakfast wasn’t too bad. The Location of the hotel is perfect, close to shopping, restaurants and the metro. Staff was courteous and friendly. I would stay here again.

Great location right in front of Copacabana beach. Some areas of the hotel feel a bit dated like the lobby and the room itself which was also facing the inner part of the building and had virtually no natural light. The bed was very comfortable though and the room clean. In contrast, the restaurant area has a much more modern design and here I was served a great breakfast as well as a delicious picanha and and amazing caipirinha for dinner. Pool, gym and sauna can barely be called such but not a big deal for me.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very kind and attentive. Loved the rooftop pool/bar/restaurant - what an amazing view. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great breakfast.

Great stay at Windsor California Hotel! Perfect location right across from Copacabana Beach and close to lots of great restaurants. The front desk staff were super friendly and even let us check in early for free. Loved the rooftop pool with its amazing view. Breakfast was delicious, though a bit repetitive day to day. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was clean, the location was right in the middle of the Copacabana beach, it felt safe, service was great, friendly, helpful. Drinks were awesome, the view from the top over Copacabana was amazing. They also have a pool, have food to enjoy up there on the roof top, too. When I go back to Rio, this will the hotel of my choice where I'll be staying again.

Street balcony’s are recommended, beautiful canopy of trees. Bed was firm but somehow very comfortable. Pillows high quality. Decent size fridge in the upgraded room we had. Public areas pretty spotless. Minor ding is the early close of the pool 5pm. Kind of a drag that it is so early. The breakfast and the afternoon happy hour food was wonderful. Plan your day right and you could have two decent meals at the hotel free. Will stay here again for sure.

This hotel is situated in a charming neighborhood filled with restaurants, convenient public transportation, and a variety of shops. It truly feels like a home away from home. The beach is just two blocks away, adding to the appeal. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and pillows that made for a restful stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, and the early evening snack buffet was a thoughtful and unique touch. I’d rate it 8/10 and recommend it for both couples and families.

Top safe in one of the best neigborhoods in Rio. Sure, the room and bathroom is a bit dated , but the king bed is amazing, the shower has one of the best water pressures I’ve experienced in a hotel, it has a real balcony and breakfast is great. Staff is very friendly. I had an issue with wifi and it was resolved on the spot. Location is prime, oak berry is right next door, and all the restaurants you can think of are around the area (everything is within walking distance). And The Leblon beach is a block away. Overall I would definitely stay here again , specially since most Rio hotels don’t have balconies

Excellent hotel located in a nice and clean and safe area. Very close to the beach two minutes walking. Excellent breakfast provided and the hotel also provided a daily buffet from 5 to 8 PM. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean.

A hostel par excellence. Spacious old estate with 2 small pools, lovely staff, cute rooms, comfy beds, ac, strong wifi, hostel chat and a great breakfast.

The breakfast we paid extra for was amazing! The building is amazing, our second time staying here. The pools are really pretty. We liked the fact you can see Cristo Redentor too from the location. Staff are all very nice and helpful.

For Rio and the price that I pay, this hostel is by far the best I have been, the room are big and confortable, you can really find your intimity, the hostel is very big and you have several places to rest and have a calm moment with your friends or to work The staff is nice and you can choses between the social activity with music in the bar or the tranquility of the severals swimming pools Perfect to look for some comfort in this busy city !

For a more relaxed reclusive experience of Rio. I highly recommend you come here. It's not just an accommodation. You have two pools and a restaurant. Multiple work spaces are available to utilise. Plus, arranged activities throughout the week. You're right next to the cable car that goes to Christ the Redeemer. And the neighbourhood is safe. I stayed at Ipanema Inn for a few nights during a solo trip to Rio and would stay again if I’m back. From check-in to assisting with booking any tours/tickets/dinner reservations Fred at the front desk was always so helpful and greeted me by name every time he was there. Fred made it so easy to plan my adventures, helped with suggestions anytime I needed, was very responsive on WhatsApp when I was out exploring Rio, and spoke great English which helped my lack of Portuguese. The rest of the staff was also great and friendly. The hotel restaurant is nicely decorated and had a delicious and varied breakfast that looked much betterhan what some other hotels in the area offered. I had the filet for dinner at the hotel one night that was perfectly cooked and the fruit tartar desert was delicious. The hotel is centrally located in Ipanema and was a quick walk to nearby restaurants, bars, beach, Arpoador/Leblon were a short ~15 min walk away, and so easy to get an Uber for anywhere else in Rio. I felt very safe walking around the hotel area alone even at night. Being able to grab a beach towel from the front desk and walk straight down the street to the beach chair/umbrella stand (included if you tell them your staying at the inn) made it so easy to enjoy a perfect beach day (although there are also some nicer looking beach clubs a short walk either direction on the beach that I’d check out too). Thanks Ipanema Inn (and Fred) for making my stay in Rio great!

Everything! It was amazing from the moment we walked in. Staff were attentive, friendly and incredibly professional. The room was lovely and cosy, bed was comfortable and facilities in general were great. The breakfast in the morning is lovely, you get to choose a la carte from their menu, so nice variety and good to get the option! It’s within 5 mins walking distance to ipanema beach and 10-15 mins walk from amazing restaurants, shops and cafes so location wise it’s ideal. They have their own slice of beach in collaboration with one of the tents. Really nice to get beach chairs and umbrella included as part of our stay. We found it to be great value for money and a perfect stay.

This was my second stay at Ipanema inn. It’s a great small hotel one block back from the beach. The rooms are small but the location near many restaurants, cafes and bars makes up for this. The staff are all incredibly helpful and made me feel welcome at all times. Shout out to Fred, Marjorie and Joao at reception. Ipanema inn has a tie up with the nearest beach bar 1 min walk from the hotel. Grab a towel from reception and the beach bar will provide you with a parasol and deck chair on the beach. Always great service and it’s an amazing spot to people watch. Breakfast at the hotel was always delicious and as a resident you can choose two options from the wider menu. Ipanema felt totally safe during the day and night. It’s only 2 blocks from the main shopping street in Ipanema so there are always people milling around whenever you want to head out and explore.

The staff was the highlight of my stay. I was a few days working during and after breakfast and remained in the restaurant area for quite some time and the staff was so attentive and always happy and joyful to be surrounded with. The front desk was very helpful, and smiling every time you approached them. The staff who maintain the rooms it's amazing, my room was 9 days looking as if I just checked in, smelling delicious, and neat. As a plus, they were leaving some sweets as well after cleaning, super nice detail :) The option to have room service from the restaurant downstairs is a big plus! Quiteria has delicious food and a great ambience, some days live music as well, I do recommend to have dinner there as well! When it comes to the location, it's less than 100mt from Ipanema's beach, you can get the towels at the reception and enjoy the beach as they have available for you the equipment for it. I'd be back and I will recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues, no matter the age as it's suitable to all ages. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing Rio experience!

The overall experience here was excellent. The breakfasts each morning were fantastic, I looked forward to them each day. Very generous, delicious breakfasts and great coffee. Fresh orange juice and cappuccino every morning. I had dinner here too and it was quite good. The staff here very extremely friendly and helpful. There is a security guard 24/7. They offer a pass to the gym a few blocks away. Also close by is Nosso (great bar/restaurant) and the park. The hotel is like 100m from the beach, very well located (though i'd recommend Sel d'ipanema beach club at 121 vs. the one "included" with the hotel). Rooms were cleaned everyday and with turn down service. The rooms were not extravagant/very large but I'd say overall this was a luxury experience.

We loved this beautifully designed and comfortable hotel-- it is rare in Copacabana and Ipanema, since it is right on the beach, rather than across a busy street, as most of the other local hotels are. I would recommend an ocean view room-- from what I could tell some of the rooms are smaller and there is nothing nicer than waking up to the sound of waves. We ate most of our meals here-- delicious, and breakfast is generous and cooked to order. Wonderful beach with umbrellas and chairs, though the rooftop pool is small, not for swimming.

I loved everything, specially the amazing caring staff at reception/cleaning services. The location is top notch and I felt safe in the area at all times (even at night). Not sure why but the police seem to be on this street 24/7. Breakfast was awesome and I appreciate the vegan option. The view from the little terrace is amazing and I loved my drinks at the pool.

Staff was excellent, rooftop bar and pool were nice, but the tiles at the pool was very slippery and many guest had problem with it. We checked-in an average room where the AC was not that great and the shower and the bathtub was clogged, but the hotel fixed it and gave us an upgrade, so we stayed in a suite for the last 2 nights, which was very nice.

Second time staying in there everything was amazing, only thing I didn't like they had a event at pool during my stay, was planning use the pool after my tired day but by 5-6pm was a Brazilian sweet sixteen party, but everything else was perfect

Comfortable Modern clean Hotel. Loved the breakfast. Good value for money. I visited during the Rio Carnival and a few events were around the area where the hotel was located. It was closer to the airport. Bit further away from the beach. BUT uber is very cheap. Cost me £4-5 to get to Ipanema. Neighbourhood doesn’t look that unsafe compared to some of the reviews I had read before going on holiday. Some of the blocos were around the hotel and it was safe. Having said that I took Ubers to the beach everyday as it was very cheap.

Great new hotel. I had a single Room which was spacious and comfortable with beautiful design. Very good breakfast buffet and the coworking area is a nice additional feature for working holidays. The only negative was that wifi coverage was quite patchy. The Internet often cut off and would definitely not be enough to work from there.

This property was recently renovated. Although the room is small, its quite cute and it has Sugarloaf Mountain view. Sad that there is no bidet in their toilet but I will forgive them since their toilet is clean. I find the hotel price a bit expensive for a basic hotel like them. They should provide at least continental breakfast set for that.

The hotel was very quiet, cleaned and well located, closed to the hostoritical sites of Centro and airports (20 min from GIG) and with an awesome view on the Sugarloaf. The team was very friendly, helpful and spoken several languages. I would also like to particularly thank Daniel for his valuable help when I met issues during my trip in Rio.

💕💕 The roof pool and area was a great surprise! and very welcome in the heat🥵 and even though the hotel is in the middle of a really busy area , our room was at the back of the building and we weren't disturbed by any noise and slept well. It's an old building with thin walls between rooms so just be aware.. It didn't cause us any problems at all though. The bathroom could do with a revamp, as it is dated, but was perfectly adequate for our stay. Plenty of hot water. We found the breakfast fine. Plenty of everything and replenished very quickly by the staff 👍 and a proper toaster for me☺️☺️! We found the staff to be pleasant and courteous.

The welcoming staff was excellent! My wife was slightly disabled and staff quickly grabbed suitcases and moved them where needed. The facilities may be dated, but the friendly, helpful staff made up for it. The bed was comfortable and a good size. It was good to have two wastebaskets. A nearby bar/restaurant had authentic feijoado and we walked to the Lapa arches, the Selaron steps and Catedral Metropolitana de São Sebastião! At breakfast, though the eggs were like little pebbles, there were plenty of choices for savory and sweet tastes.

The Windsor Copa hotel is just one block away from the Copacobana beach (3 minute walk) and in a safe neighbourhood. All kind of facilities (supermarket, cocktail bar, coffee shop, restaurants) are close to the hotel. Let me start with the positive aspects of the hotel. The staff is friendly and polite. At the entrance there is always staff present which gave me a secure feeling about the hotel. The breakfast buffet is what one might expect from this kind of hotel, there’re a lot of things to choose from. The rooms are up to standards, the furniture looks a little bit outdated but that’s also a matter of style. The beds are large and comfortable, personally I missed a small table beside my bed for my phone and so on. There’s quite a lot of noise from the street because the windows don’t isolate that, not a big problem. The bathroom is well equiped and the shower is very good.

The hotel is in an excellent location, a few steps from the beach, in a safe and clean area. The staff is friendly, helpful, discreet and ready to react promptly. The room and the facilities exactly met the conditions from the description. The continental breakfast is tasty and reasonably diversified. A big bonus for the huge and very comfortable double bed. Also, I particularly appreciated that the hotel provides beach towels.

Stayed here for 5 days while visiting Brazil with my daughter. We had a double bed, the room was small but had everything we needed, and it was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Note to the hotel staff: a few things to improve: There are currently no umbrellas for the sun loungers, so it's very difficult to stay there when it's full sun/35C. Adding a few would vastly improve everyone's experience. Additional cleaning of the pool needed, the pool did not seem clean, so I did not dare to use it.

Everything was perfect, very clean rooms, nice and helpful staff. The location is great - beautiful and safe area next to the ocean, it was amazing. And the view from the rooftop is stunning. Swimming pool is small but it was enough. Breakfast was so delicious and they offered a wide range of choices. Generally - very high recommendation.

Lovely location in Leme. You can walk on the boardwalk and beach taking in the beautiful view. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The rooftop pool did not look clean and no one was using it. Delicious breakfast buffet.

This hotel has the wow factor. It’s not cheap but you pay for the location. It’s essential to get a room with a sea view, otherwise it a bit pointless. Everything was exceptionally good. The reception staff are multilingual, the cleaners very efficient, breakfast had huge variety, the roof top bar/pool gives a stunning view of Copacabana. We had an amazing time in Rio. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. We were even able to late check out at 4pm! A plus given our flight was at 11pm. Beach right across the street. Greta restaurants and bar near. Down side was the pool didn’t look very pleasant to swim in. Maybe some paint will make it look nice.

Location is perfect, on the quiet and safe end of the Copocabana strip, near the Fort and Ipenema area too. The Orla is a very quaint hotel with amenities that surpass the quality of the rooms. Our room was small with no view, but was clean and comfortable. Location was amazing, only few minutes from copacabana beach. Heated pool was perfect for this time of year. Breakfast was delicious Reception team of Andre, Marcus, Egodio and Christian were very helpful. Cleaning staff were also very good and kept the room spotless. Good overall value for money.

I loved the room and the Art Deco design of the entire building. The manager was very kind and accommodating. They let me store my luggage on my last day so that I could sightsee a little more before my flight. They also helped me log back into WiFi to call an Uber, even though I was already checked out. The pool and steam room were very nice. I loved having a Jacuzzi bathtub and bidet also. The location is about 1.5 blocks from the beach. Very convenient location near restaurants, a grocery store and pharmacy.

The staff at the hotel were so kind, happy and helpful. From the Reception team to the breakfast and bar teams, lifeguard, cleaners and reception. The breakfast options are great, the pool is lovely and you can see Sugar Loaf mountain from the rooftop. The steam room is also a great way to relax. The hotel may not be five stars, but the value for money, experience and cleanliness make it a pleasure to be there. They also have great excursions (we went to the Maracana and had excellent seats)

I highly recommend the hotel. 1. It is very well-staffed (over-staffed really) and everyone is extremely helpful and gracious. Your concerns, questions, and requests are immediately acted upon. 2. It is clean and comfortable. 3. It is in an extremely good location, and is just short of one block from the beach, and close to bars, restaurants, stores, etc. and to Ipanema. 4. the neighborhood (including the block from the beach, and Rua de Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, parallel to the beach ) has tons of foot traffic and is safe at least till around 9PM, when stores close. 5. There are safes in each room. 6. Our room was quiet, even though facing the street. 7. Wifi quality was usually good, but sometimes slow. 8. Our room and bathroom were very clean, but there was some rust and mold on the edges of the shower door. - The hotel is very-well maintained, but can use a makeover. I found this a minor inconvenience. 9. The pool is 4 1/2 feet teep (1.5m), and 15 ft long - more of a huge tub than pool. It takes 2-4 strokes to swim a length. The gym is a small room with 2 treadmills, 1 bike, a few light free-weights, and no scale. All in all, this is a great place to stay at a great price, and I will always come back here.

The Windsor Martinique is a charming, slightly older-style hotel a few steps from Copacabana beach. The staff were extremely professional, welcoming, and friendly. I stayed for nearly two weeks at the property, and throughout my stay I found them to be accommodating and helpful at every turn. This hotel is clearly popular with tourist groups from all over the world, and they managed the flow very well. My room had powerful AC, the cleaning crew visited every day, and the water pressure was great. This is the sort of hotel you see in Paris, Rome, or any other top-tier destination city. In terms of the location, I found it extremely convenient, near both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, and an entrance to General Osario station, it was in an ideal location for public transit or walking (and uber rides were also a great option). For those concerned with safety, I never felt unsafe walking around this part of Copacabana or Ipanema, even at night (it felt comparable to the Times Square in NYC). The area gets much quieter after 11PM and I would recommend using common sense in venturing out at night, stick to areas with more people, like the ocean promenade. We opted not to do the breakfast option, and if you are a budget traveler there is a great juice stand across Av. Nossa Str. de Copacabana and several smaller cafes and breakfast place, we liked Drop Coffee and Panadero. Enjoy your time in Rio, it is an amazing city with amazing people!

From the very first moment, Mr. Pitanga made us feel at home. He went above and beyond to assist us in every possible way. The entire hotel was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The rest of the hotel staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. Even though English is not widely spoken in Brazil, the entire Olinda team made a real effort to communicate with us and ensure we had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel to any tourist visiting Rio. Great price. Location is perfect if you are looking for the lively atmosphere of Copacabana. Near to all major tourist attractions. Right by the beach and good selection of nearby restaurants. Souvenir/flea market nearby or all along beach promenade. Amazing night life. Hotel is older but rooms are spacious, comfortable and hotel has a restaurant with great breakfast selection. Clean bathrooms with all the amenities and toiletries provided. No iron for clothes though in hotel, have to send for hotel laundry for ironing. No kettle in room. Staff is so friendly. Hotel offers tours. Outside booked tours do pick-up at this hotel as well. I travelled with my teenage kids and elderly parents and we all enjoyed our stay here.

The front desk staff was friendly, and the concierge was very helpful. The location was great, right in the middle of Copacabana Beach, with many kiosks on the beach front providing a variety of food and entertainment. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices in a nice bright room with a view on the beach. Brach towels are supplied, free of charge. Our room was good, didn't have a view of the beach. The shower was excellent in flow and temperature.

It is an old property, but it is very well maintained, and they keep cleaning everything. Friendly personnel in the welcoming staff, the reception, bagging assistant, breakfast personnel, housekeeping, etc. Thank you to Manuel who gently assisted us on the baggage handling and took over them from the car until our rooms. All personnel was always smiling and ready to assist you in any situation. Breakfast had a variety of options for everyone, and they keep refilling every meal, so even though you go for breakfast at the end, you will always have all options of foods available. Properly is right in front of the beach, close to restaurants, pharmacies, and you have access to everything. Parking is the public parking in the street and you need to buy a ticket/pass for $2 reales/day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Promenade is a pretty hotel located in a newer office area. While there are many empty stores around the hotel and the streets within the complex are empty, it seems to be a safe area. The staff was courteous and helpful and there was an attentious life guard in the pool, making it a great option for my kids. The only two things I would make a suggestion for improvement, would be: 1. the trash can in the bathroom: a rotating lid is not the most sanitary option to deposit used toilet paper 2. Maybe putting coffe in the room for guests to use in the nice coffee pot they already have in there! Thanks for a great stay!

I am glad that I stayed at this hotel during the carnival of 2025. It's a difficult time, all the hotels in Rio are full and prices are skyrocketing. The hotel staff is amazing! Respectful and responsive attitude towards the guests. 24-hour security guards. The room is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is good. Convenient transport accessibility, taxi, metro, buses and tram to all parts of the city.

This was an "OK" hotel. A pretty central location, more of a business hotel - not your tourist, beach hotel. It was a very "urban " hotel with all sorts of folks in the streets around it. I never felt unsafe however. You can certainly get a feel for the "real" Rio city environment here. Having said that, the staff was excellent, the facility was nice and clean and well maintained. The breakfast could use an upgrade and more variety. There is no parking associated with the hotel, however the nearby underground lot does offer discounts to hotel guests. The price seemed a little high to me for the combined package.

The gym has some equipment and the spa side is the downside of the hotel as it was not in the best conditions when I visited. However I did not book the hotel for the gym or spa so I enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

We got an ocean view room with balcony and it was amazing to wake up to the ocean and waves. This hotel had it all, spa, sauna, steam room, gym, bar, pool, restaurant. Our room was big enough and water pressure in shower was amazing.

We loved our stay at the hotel. We had a room on the 12th floor with "Vista lateral do mar" and had a great view of the sea. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of different kinds of fruit and freshly cooked omelettes. The pool was good for adults and children and our granddaughter (with her parents in a different room) loved the slide. Friendly, helpful staff. The sandy beach is very close and there were some green flags so we could swim.

Really good place to stay. Breakfast buffet was great, but didn’t get room upgrade or even a room with a bed for a couple. We got 2 twin beds and had to place them together. Still, restaurant and pool was great. The best is the proximity to the beach and their beach services! Really friendly staff too.

Pleasant hotel, in a very safe area; comfortable; very good service and excellent view from the balcony. Would come back. I suggest though, that the hotel pool be isolated from the hotel entrance view, to make it private for the guests. This issue did not make me use of it.

Well located Hotel at Aproador between Copacabana and Ipanema. The Metro Station is near by. We had an executive room on a higher floor looking towards the Two-Brothers-Mountain. The room was simple but functional with AC. The hotel has a nice rooftop area with pool. The breakfast is simple but offers variety from day by they, but the service stuff at the breakfast just is amazing, they always smile and very helpful.

We had a great stay at Atlantis Copacabana Hotel! The staff were amazing, everything was spotless, and the rooms were really spacious. The location couldn’t be better — super convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and just a short walk to both Copacabana Beach and Ipanema Beach. It felt very safe, and it’s such a great area to explore. Breakfast at the hotel was really nice, but it’s also walking distance to some lovely spots if you want a change — even the five-star Fairmont Rio, which is perfect for a special breakfast treat. It’s also close to the old Military Museum, which has a fantastic spot for breakfast. I highly recommend getting in line early if you plan to go there and have cash as there are three lines, cash, card and Pix— you’ll definitely notice the queues when walking down to Copacabana Beach! Overall, we loved it the hotel — great value, perfect location, and wonderful staff. We actually ended up extending our stay and stayed two extra nights!

This ended up being a great choice for me. I wanted a couple days at the end of my Brazil trip to relax and enjoy the beach areas. This hotel's location was ideal: on a quiet street betweeen Copacabana and Ipanema (a couple blocks either way) and looking out over Arpoador. There are a number of decent restaurants and cafes nearby (my favorite was the Adega do Cesare and its crab lasagna) and even more when you walk the 10 minutes or so over to the General Osório Metro stop (on Line 1). There is a full supermarket (Zona Sul) just a block or so away. My room on the 11th floor was a little "plain Jane," but it was comfortable, had everything I needed, and came with a gorgeous view down to Arpoador Rock and over to some of the Ipanema beach area. Water pressure and temp, internet, AC, TV, etc. were all good. The rooftop public space is beautiful and relaxing. Staff members were helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want. Just stay away during the first and last half hours to avoid the rush.

The hotel offered a cosy atmosphere despite being basic, and its roof terrace had an amazing view. We found the room clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful and polite, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection. Plus, it was just a short walk to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.

Very nice and modern place, located just outside the main beaches (copacabana and ipamena), but easily accessible with a taxi (we used Uber and costs just 3-4 dollars). There is also a beach just in front of the hotel, but we stayed mainly in the pool of the hotel, as we were visiting Rio in the morning till after lunch and then we were relaxing at the pool of the hotel. Nice restaurant as well with good buffet

The place is just right over the sea, with an underground station about 7min walk from it, that takes you to the city. The near by beach is clean, and sandy. We had room with a bath and the view was stunning, very big and spacious room, shower, bathing room, the pool is good size also. We liked dining in the rooftop restaurant, very good dining.

This was a beautiful hotel on a lovely property off the beaten track situated on a beautiful and quiet stretch of beach. Great food, wonderful pool deck, spacious lobby and bar area. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Masi, the restaurant on the top floor served some of the best sushi I've ever tasted.

The reception welcome was friendly and any questions were answered. Staff are well informed and always willing to help. We both enjoyed tge morning walks on the beach as well as laying by the pool and sundowners on the beach

The room was spacious and on roadside on 14th floor, so the view was amazing from there. We could'nt use the pool on the terrace as we stayed away from the property most of the time. Nights were comfortable. It was memorable stay with my friend as we met after 8 years and explored new city in Brazil. Overall experience was great.

The rooftop swimming pool and outdoor area has great views of the mountains and city. The free breakfast buffet was good and the paid lunch buffet was good and reasonably priced.

I hated that I only booked one night in Rio and this hotel. The ambience was perfect, the view, everything and the staff amazing. It was great the receptionists spoke English as well. Will definitely rebook as it's easily accessible to the Novo Rio Terminal. Didn't wanna leave the hotel... Superb Breakfast

Perfect location, the staff was amazing and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the view from the room was great, we could even see the ocean. The gym is perfect with an amazing view, you can even see the Christ the Redeemer, the ocean and the Sugarloaf from the pool area. Breakfast was great. The Copacabana is a 3 minute walk. You can leave your luggage without extra charge on the day you check-out.

The hand shower was excellent. Very good water pressure in the shower, comfortable room with room service. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. The 18th floor pool, bar was good.

Walking distance to a number of places, surrounded by shops, markets, supermarkets etc. I loved the convenience and the proximity to laid back Flamgeno beach just 5min walk away. The staff were exceptional and helpful from the get go. Cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. The gym was across the road although I didn't use it. Breakfast had a good variety and they even prepared my eggs separately as I like it. Just ask!. Overall a lovely stay at Elegance Praia. The rooms are better than in the pictures. I can certainly recommend the hotel and will return when in Rio again.

The hotel offers free parking, which is rare. Breakfast was good and it could be brought back to the room as well. Room was very simple but clean and bed was comfy.

Perfect location - city center and ipanema just few minutes with taxi/uber. Copacabana / Urca we even walked from the hotel and flamengo beach is what locals prefere and it was safe there!!

Very spacious room with comfy bed. Decent breakfast and cleaning lady was taking care of room everyday.

The hotel may not be in the best part of Rio but it is a very nice hotel. Our twin bed room was very clean, comfortable and spacious with a lovely bathroom with powerful shower. Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot or cold food. We had dinner a couple of evenings and the food was excellent and service from the waiting staff was excellent. We would definitely stay here again and the prices were very reasonable.

The staff is amazing, I asked to change the room and they did it and very friendly. The hotel is old but I think is very well maintained. I asked a front view and it was great.

The only negative is that the rooms need updating. I believe they are renovating currently our rooms were unfortunately not updated. The views more than made up for the outdated rooms.

The Sheraton is a large property with its own beach and a lovely pool area. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our holiday and enjoyed a relaxing time round the pool. The rooms are large although ours on the second floor in the low rise block was slightly old fashioned and in need of an update. However it had a lovely furnished balcony which we enjoyed.

This was one of the most wonderful hotels we've ever stayed at. The staff was incredibly helpful, the rooms were beautiful, and the site is incredible. Fantastic large swimming pool, beautiful beach, absolutely splendid breakfast buffet. Do be sure to include breakfast with your reservation; it's well worth the extra cost. We had a partial ocean view room on a high floor and thought our view was great. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Sheraton is keeping the level high, with very nice and helpful staff, private territory where you feel yourself completely safe, private beach and pool area and probably the most beautiful tennis courts I’ve played on. Rooms are wonderful with just a marvellous view. And it’s a perfect choice for those with babies - they have a baby room, cribs, all necessary facilities everywhere and comfortable big elevators. So it’s a classic five.

The Sheraton Grand Rio is an excellent choice in Rio de Janeiro, with beautiful views and all amenities one could desire (excellent tennis courts, beautiful pool area, good restaurants, nice lounge and fitness/wellness area). Staff is very friendly an d the rooms are comfortable. Would stay there again.

Everything we experienced at this hotel was AMAZING! The staff is very friendly and courteous. Never had a problem finding a cab. Rooftop view/pool/bar very pleasant and relaxing. Rooms are very clean and spacious bathroom. Comfortable bedding. Loved the fresh breakfast buffet.

We are from Australia and we were impressed that all the staff spoke English. The location was amazing and so were the views from the rooftop bar. There was a small gym and pool which we used and we were also able to run along the beach due to the hotel's close proximity. The rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had lots of options and the restaurant overlooked the beach. We hope to return! Highly recommend!

The reception and restaurant are on the first floor (1F) and each floor above have 6 rooms. Street noise can be a problem for street-facing rooms. In April 2025, our room 1305 (13F) was spacious with two double beds and a bathroom. The bed was clean and slept well, but the maintenance of the heavily used hotel left to be desired. The more recently refitted air-conditioning worked well. Wi-Fi reception was good. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of breads, eggs, cereals and fruits. A good start to the day. Copa Sul Hotel has an excellent location and offers spacious rooms with a decent breakfast. Recommended.

The view from the terrace is awesome, really a gift. The pool is comfortable and the calling system for the waiters works well. The staff is well trained and very cooperative. The accommodation is good for a short stay and the location favours your movement as it is very close to downtown and to the south zone of the city where most of attractions are located.

The view from the pool, how convenient it was when landing at SDU airport and it was also very clean!
