The resort was absolutely beautiful. It was kid friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurants and the markets gave us plenty of food options, and when we wanted some thing different, Whaler‘s Village is only a few yards down the beach. We loved the pools and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. You could have lunch by the pool or drinks. Hawaii is expensive but I felt like this resort was worth it.

We had an amazing time in Maui. Many dining options, walking distance to shopping mall, pools and pool area were clean and the oceans views were spectacular.

The oceanside views are breathtaking and worth the upgrade. The whole property smells so good, like the entire place is a spa. The rooms are spacious and nice, the on-site restaurants were all fantastic. The pool is great with a separated area for kids and adults, servers for cocktails, and reef-safe sunscreen and lotion provided. The walkability to Whaler's Village was also super convenient and we saw monk seals on Ka'anapali beach one morning!

Beautiful location and property. With flamingos and koi fish pond! Beach is within a few steps from the hotel’s pool and walkable to restaurants and shops at Whalers Village. Clean, bed and pillows super comfortable.

It is a really nice property right on the beach. The ground is well kept. It has several pools with water slides and a family friendly place. Right next door is Whaler's Village which has lots of stores and restaurants. The ABC store in the Whaler's Village has everything from grab and go's to beer also souvenir to take home. Very friendly staff. We will definitely go back should we visit Maui again.

Clean and well maintained. Excellent customer service. Penguins, swans, and other birds around the grounds. Three pools, including an adult-only infinity pool. Son'z Steakhouse on the property was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Our favorite place to stay since 1980. Great customer service, very clean rooms. Yummy pool side food and drinks. Beautiful Swan court with so many beautiful birds. Wonderful pool area, pool slides for the young and older folks. A wonderful children’s pool area for the little ones as well. The inside court yards have Koi fish, parrots, penguins and artificial turf to play on. Also some wonderful restaurants. All in all a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.

Hyatt Regency Maui was beautiful and the staff were friendly and kind. The food — even the pool service— was fresh and good, and we especially liked the breakfast and Japengo. We were 6 adults, so appreciated that we were able to use the Vacation Club for their adult pools and hot tub, as there were many children in the hotel pool. The beach was quite thin and “cabanas” pricey—also pickleball equipment was very beginner quality… bring your own if you plan to play a lot! Yes, we recommend staying here!

Our stay at this resort was okay, but I gave them extra points because they gave us a late checkout of 1:00pm for no charge. Our ocean/pool view room was nice, the beds comfortable. But I was under whelmed by the pool. Why they need a 8’ and 9’ deep section, I do not know, but it didn’t even have an edge to sit and enjoy the water. The sitting edge is only in the shallow end. Their below average pool is why I would not stay there again.

Hyatt Regency Maui exceeds expectations as a hotel on the beach. Easy to navigate front desk to elevators, breezeway is pleasantly decorated with the right blend of exotic birds and seating. Spacious Ocean view rooms, comfortable balcony for sitting outside after a day at the pool/beach. Breafast buffet has plenty sweet and savory options to offer for a variety of tastes. Pleasant greetings from hotel staff. Downside is restaurant hosts provide seating accommodations according to ethnicity. If you arrive with a natural tan, expect a few Karen's at the pool.

Property was 50 feet from the ocean with great balcony (lanai). Dukes Restaurant was only a short walk down the beach. Staff was exceptionally friendly. The condo pool is very old with minimal shallow water so it might be an issue for a family with children. Pool and beach furniture was plentiful. Rooms are individually owned so decorating and amenities vary. Unfortunately, the TV's in our room were both very old and had small screens (approx 24 inch diagonal). Owner needs to upgrade at least the bedroom to a larger size. Otherwise, the unit was terrific, and we enjoyed our stay.

The view of the ocean was incredible and had views of marine life including sea turtles and whales. The beach in front of the property was very quiet and we liked that very much. The pool area was laid back and relaxing. Liked that we didn't have to reserve a chair by the pool or on ocean side.

We are so happy we stayed here. The best beach access (and view) hands down. The pool is lovely and it truly felt like an oasis, not like a crowded Disneyland type of resort. The kitchenette and washing machines were great for a longer stay, and the shower was luxurious. The lanai faces directly west, perfect for watching the sunset every night, with direct views of lanai’i and Molokai on either side. The amenities and style are more vintage and rustic, not super trendy and modern, but we loved that. It has that perfect beach house feel, with all the amenities of a hotel!

What an amazing place! We booked a premium ocean front studio and it was perfect!!! An amazing view, easy access to all sorts of stuff just minutes away. The place was clean and quiet. Walk out of the pool and you walk right to the beach. Just perfect. Will stay again and again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. We were lucky and were assigned an updated room. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed comfortable and the views from the balcony amazing. Although the internet in the room was good, it did not extend to the pool area where people spend a lot of their time and this was frustrating. Also our room did not have any chairs available to take to the beach as was our experience in other oceanfront condo complexes. This was an amazing place to view whales, seals, dolphins and turtles. We would definitely return here.

The grounds were beautiful. We loved having two pools and the beach right there and having the Gazebo restaurant onsite was another bonus. I could watch whales in the ocean while my kids were in the pool. It was so magical! Amazing views and amazing location.

Very clean and well maintained. Definitely a place to feel like home. Very close to the wonderful Napili bay. Feels more spacious than the other resorts around, especially because of the beautiful garden and the two pools. This is a place with many young families, so there was a little bit of noise level at the pool. But the kids were happy and so it didn’t bother me too much. I am planing to come back next year!

The facility was great, the food and service at the bar and restaurant were excellent. The pool and pool area were clean and well cared for.

Loved the low key feel to the hotel. We stayed in a refurbished ocean front room. Very nice. Would have loved room service! We were celebrating our 45 anniversary and they left a nice bottle of champagne and decorated our bed. The concierge was helpful booking an excursion, which we used our VIP award towards. A few days the showers to wash the sand off was broken and ended up having to use the pool. Pool bar was nice but it would be nice to have servers at the pool. Overall we were very happy and the price was reasonable for an ocean front room.

Good hotel, small pool but very close to the sea and beach. Loungers around the pool go quickly. Valet parking good. Good location near Whalers Village.

Lovely hotel and staff were excellent- especially culture experiences offered for free at hotel, particularly lady who taught us history and ukulele. Maui Brewing onsite was great and nice room. The only thing which lets hotel down is the pool which is more just a children’s pool. But you’re on the sea front so this is where we swam instead. We hope to return!

Perfect resort for our family. Quiet, easy beach access, nice pool, excellent restaurant/bar on site, clean rooms. The beach walk to Whaler’s Village and other resorts was perfect for morning walks. Exactly what we were looking for in our first trip to Maui. We’ll be back!

Clean and great location . It’s truly more like a 4.5 only because it isn’t fully resort luxury . Staff was wonderful for sure ! The beach chairs and umbrellas very expensive to rent so we rented locally from Boss Frogs which worked great when we wanted to try other beaches . The beach at this place was a perfect spot though . Close to Whalers village . All in all we would certainly recommend . We don’t ever use a pool when at the beach but it looked well maintained .

Location right on the beach plus the swimming pool was great for our family. We stayed in ocean view rooms and had breakfast on the lanai every day looking at the waves. Boardwalk near the pool was perfect to reach the viewpoint overlooking Napili beach.

We had a room with on the ground floor with direct access to the pool and ocean view. It was really nice and clean, nice to spend evenings in the small terrace by the pool.

Wonderful location just steps away from the beach. Our "garden view" room was wonderfully secluded from the other guests and the business of the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. Yoga twice during the week and a lovely breakfast on Friday - that was not advertised and over the top! Excellent resort library. The room had everything we needed - big fridge w/icemaker, comfortable bed, excellent lanai for reading and relaxing. Pool was a few feet away.

Very clean apartment, the kitchen was fully equipped and we felt very welcomed. The bed was super comfy and we could rest very well! The balcony was great! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there many times! The pool is very nice and the apartment is so convinently located at the beach. We would love to come back!

Amazing location with unbeatable views, easy beach access and nice manicured communal gardens and pool area. Saw lots of turtles while snorkelling. All staff super friendly and helpful. Ample free parking for rental car. Apartments clean, great kitchen with everything you might need

Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Quick check in and out. Good dining options in walking distance. Very nice room with ocean view. Only downside was TV in main room was iffy about signal about 1/3 of the time. Very small and crowded pool area. People saving 4 spots for 2 people to move in and out of sun. Pool too deep for wading as was 5-6 feet deep throughout. Overall was a very nice property and well kept up.

I loved the proximity to Whaler Village where it was only a few minutes away! The beach was right by our doorstep and so was the pool and the hot tub. It was unfortunate to not have any housekeeping service throughout our six night stay. I was surprised to be among time share owners and felt a bit awkward whenever I used the pool and hot tub. Four out of six nights did a big group of time share owners seem to have their private party in the shared/common areas.

The only things I can complain about was the pool, my backyard pool if better, and the parking. There was zero underground parking at night. and a long haul from above ground.

Perfect location on Kaanapali beach, so close to good snorkeling, black rock, and Whaler's Village. Easy parking. The staff were so friendly. The grounds, pools, and cooking grills were well-kept. The condo was perfect for our family of 5 with amazing views of the golf course and mostly ocean view. Spacious and so comfortable. We enjoyed having the full kitchen. Loved having the option to play tennis and pickleball. Enjoyed coffee from the lobby each morning and walking on the beach. We had an amazing time!

Great amenities and staff. Pool was awesome and pool staff are very attentive. Only change I have would make is the pillows- too soft but room is nice! Would definitely come back

Highly recommend nice beautiful resort, the staff are great too, always smiling. The breakfast is a nice addition. Easy access to the beach, two pools . The pool opens till 10am . The only comment was I wish they add more lighting around the pool at night, it gets dark. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Love this place

great location, it was great to have a nice beach and great snorkeling area. The pools were basic. The view from our upstairs bungalow was amazing. We enjoyed watching whales and sailboats from our room and the beach and pool areas..

This hotel was so cute and the staff were incredibly friendly! They were so kind and helpful. We requested an early check in and they said they would give us a call to let us know. We got early check in and it was nice. The pool is great. There is a beach entrance right in front. The pool food and bar offers 15% kama'aina rate. Which was great! Would stay here again

There is a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere at this hotel. The hotel is right on a great beach with clear blue water. Really nice reception staff. We also enjoyed the pools and the pool bar, were we had some great drinks. On the last day the allowed us to use the facilities after checking out, witch is great. We planned to stay 4 nights in Kihei, but we canceled the last night to return to this hotel in couple of days for our last night in Maui. Since we are coming back, it’s obvious that we highly recommend it.

Right on the ocean. 2 pools. Coffee shop has nice options. Free fruity water in lobby. Sunscreen by the pool. Volunteer kitty presence. Shuttle pickup to go shopping. Balcony with great view.

Nice accommodations with easy access to the beach and pool. Hot tub at the big pool wasn't hot (same temp as pool) but the pool was nice to cool off in. It's a great beach with a nice reef for snorkeling. The room was nice. There is a very small kitchen area that is functional, but not for big meal creation. Housekeeping staff was fantastic. Parking is tight. The spaces are REALLY small. We always found a spot, but sometimes just barely.

Absolutely Beautiful Resort -we stayed in a studio with a full kitchen and lanai. Kitchen was fully equipped including utensils to use the outdoor grills. There are 4 pools, all with breathtaking views of the bay, the beach is right off the property and they provide beach chairs and towels that can be exchanged for fresh ones through out the day. They have a snack bar with delicious frozen drinks. They have fans and air conditioning in the rooms. Do not hesitate to book here! We absolutely loved our stay.

Everything was as pictured, very clean and friendly, beach chairs only, lounges only at the pool. Eating is a bit of an issue if don’t want to eat at the same place every time or make reservations after 8 at night.

Our stay at Napili Kai was amazing. The location was stunning. Great for kids. Great access to the bay for snorkeling and lounging around. The kids enjoyed the pool and the children’s program as well.

Beautiful property! 2 pools, bbqs at pool areas, easy walking to other near properties, ABC store right behind. , Our room was perfect!!! Ocean view, listening to waves all night… soothing, calm. Would book here again if we go back in the future.

We love staying at the Aston Papakea and is our second time. It's nice and laid back, not very busy with crowds. Any issues with condos are remedied quickly by Aston. The condos have everything we need including barbecues by the pool. The pool and hot tub are very nice. Love sitting by the sea wall at sunrise and sunset, so relaxing listening to the waves crashing. Lots of whale sightings this time of year in January. Walking distance to grocery store and the Maui food truck park. Great food there! Close to other restaurants, cafe's and gift shops and the ABC Store.

We were able to watch whales from Oceanview rooms in February. Ocean is only 50 or so feet away from balcony. There are new grill machines around pool. Hot water pool was awesome.

On our 11 day stay in Maui the Papakea Resort was our second stop. This resort is beautiful and kept up very nicely. Most all employees were very nice and freindly. Our only negative feedback was one of the Security Staff by the name of Kerri. He works around the pool area and was very rude and abrupt. People are on vacation to relax. kids play and adults like to have fun. He made us feel like we were criminals. always watching over the pool like a hawk and logging things on his clip board.

The view of the pool ponds and gorgeous gardens plus the ocean was such a plus.Pretty decor Bed so comfy and great to have extra bedroom and bathroom upstairs.The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Comfy Couch and nice dining area in and out on balcony. Location of condo perfect and close to food trucks and abC store.check in was amazing and so informative.The best Place so far we have stayed at. We would love to come back and spend longer time next time.Everything in this condo was clean and well taken care of.

The condos at this hotel are simply amazing! Service was spot on, and the view from our top floor two bedroom premier unit were breathtaking! The pools are spectacular. More like swimming in a lush tropical lagoon than a pool.

Upon arriving you are truly spoilt. Nothing to much trouble, hotel spotless, staff very attentive, perfect location. Pure luxury. Amazing pool area with lots of choices of seating with or without shade and of course an amazing view of the beautiful sea with stunning landscapes. Couldn't ask for more

Large rooms, beautiful grounds, great pool facilities, friendly staff, good tv channels, well equipped business centre, wifi throughout, superb spa, tasty cocktails. All the right ingredients for a relaxing stay...

The room was gorgeous - very well appointed, everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They upgraded us to a three bedroom suite so tons of room. Breathtaking views. Pictures don't do it justice! Family friendly resort with an awesome pool and beach.

The Montage Kapalua is a luxurious property that really went above and beyond to make us feel catered to. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly from the valets who greeted us by name to the pool attendants that were constantly refilling our ice water. We absolutely loved our room and appreciated the complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room. My husband and I are already looking into which Montage property to visit next.
