The ……,. Resort at Jaco beach was right at the beach and we witnessed the most beautiful sunset that evening. The all inclusive dinner meal was delicious and they prepared a special pasta dish to suit our preference for vegetarian food. The pools were clean and the outdoor showers near the beach too. The pool table and ping pong table were a nice addition which our group loved. Overall a good stay.

I was able to relax and to take it easy, which was my objective. The people are friendly, the pool area is nice and the access to the beach is convenient. It's good to have coffee, drinks, food all the time within easy reach. The food is fine, it's not a gourmet buffet, but it is tasty and varied. It's located right in front of the bus terminal, and on the lively High Street.

In general everything was very good, the room was clean and comfortable the restaurant had a great variety of food, the pool area was clean and all of the staff polite and very helpful.

The pools were lovely! Perfect temperature which I’ve never had before - it’s always too cold or warm. The staff were very attentive and the room was a good size with nice hot showers. Bar staff should also be commended for their cocktails! Buffet was ok, always a variation and well stocked. Some days better than others for options that weren’t bland or lukewarm.

The Marriott Los Suenos is an amazing property! We were recognized as Marriott status members daily by the very attentive and professional staff. They made this vacation exceptional!! The rooms, pool, restaurants, and the swim up bar were all excellent. They also provide numerous pool floats and toys, and the kids club was amazing with lots of toys and activities to keep our kids happy! We will be going back!!

Everything!! The pool was especially amazing! For anyone that thinks the pool music is constant and loud, this resort is family oriented, so it’s not meant to be a zen quiet experience! Los Suenos Marriott far exceeded our expectations and the staff was super attentive and friendly! We will back to Los Suenos!!

We came here for our honeymoon and could not have asked for a more wonderful and luxurious resort for our stay. Simply amazing rooms and pool area. Loved how you can walk to the bay straight from pool area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the area.

We had two enjoyable nights at the Marsala. The pool is an infinity edge pool with a swim up bar, the rooms are comfortable and well configured for a group of three, and the reasonably-priced restaurant serves the best food we've had during our entire two week stay in Costa Rica.

Hotel is on a hill just off the highway with views of the surrounding area including the pacific. Has a couple of swimming pools, one of which is an infinity pool with swim up bar. Plenty of sitting areas facing the ocean. Food was very good.

The location! Very close to beautiful Playa Esterillos, the hotel overlooks the Pacific with an infinity pool and it’s just gorgeous! The restaurant serves good food but was pricey. Good beach towels for the pool.

A stunning hotel located on the cliffs of Jaco. Our room was stunning and everything was really clean. Check in was easy and the staff were exceptional. The food at the restaurant was really good but expensive, but I guess you are paying for the view really. The infinity pool is stunning, made even more magical by the macaws that flew past twice! A wonderful hotel and would’ve loved to have stayed longer

We loved our stay here! Great place for families with young children because the pool is right by the rooms so you can sit at your table outside (or at the bar, or one of the sun beds...) and keep an eye on them. If kids aren't your thing there's also a second, more quiet pool. The rooms are new and sparkling clean, it's in a great location - very quiet with loads of birds and iguanas - and the staff are all very friendly. Good breakfast too. Las Brisas was above and beyond what we were expecting for the price!

we had a generously sized & comfortable room with a great shower, that opened onto the very attractive pool area and the breakfast/bar. for a small hotel it had every comfort required while still feeling intimate - and this was largely down to the staff who were just amazing - so helpful & friendly - from the owner through to the gardener and everyone in between. A great breakfast too. We would definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay on the central pacific coast as it’s in a quiet location but is easy to visit lots of other places.

Loved the friendly staff, the updated rooms were very clean, (even the sheets and towels were new) and there were 2 pools to choose from. The restaurant is open on the weekends and was delicious. The breakfast is awesome and is a nice big portion and it’s all cooked fresh too. Love it, they’re pet friendly and will come back with the kids next time too! They also helped us book tours and adventures and were so helpful!

Really nice view. Friendly host and manageable drive from San José. It takes about 1,5 hours from San José AirPort. The infinity Pool was also really nice.

Best view in Tárcoles area. As secure as it gets with staff patrolling the neighborhood all day/night and monitoring who comes in and out. Infinity pool looking out over the ocean was a bonus. The residence is big-lots of space. We used it as a stopover from traveling from up north to our next destination further south. As such it was good.

The views are amazing, we didn't need to go to the beach because the views and the pool (that also has an amazing view) were enough. (I recommend cooking there, as going out to eat may be a little tedious.) We had a great time!

Amazing views from balcony and pool. Lovely and really spacious apartment- perfect for our family of four. Georges was such a lovely welcoming host too. We really enjoyed our stay - saw Macaws and lots of iguanas in the grounds - stunning!

Within steps to the beach as well as many restaurants. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Two pools,1 big with deep end on one side and another kiddie pool. Wi Fi coverage can be better. Breakfast included in the restaurant next doors was pretty good and had healthy options available. We enjoyed surfing lessons offered by beach shops few steps away. Overall good location and service.

Good size pool with watersplash one end, good space by the pool for sunbathing. Walked through front gate on to lovely beach with white sand and waves great for surfing or just swimming. Best beach of our stay in Costa Rica. Location of hotel right in front of Jaco beach. Enjoyed food and comfortable room. The resident iguana was an interesting sideshow!

The hotel is located next to the beach and has a good swimming pool and an additional childrens pool. There is a cafe/restaurant (Kokos) adjacent which serves breakfast. It also serves excellent evening meals. The rooms and grounds are very well kept 👍

We have stayed in 10 different places in our 30-day vacation in Costa Rica, some fancier and some plainer, and Doce Lunas has been the most enjoyable.

Brilliant pool, incredible grounds, feels like you're really in the jungle. Saw macaws flying over the pool several times which was magic. Room was nice and very large. Loved the sack bats that stayed in the verandah roof, so cute (outside, not in the room but could see them from the window). Choice between continental and Tipico breakfast - really delicious. Friendly staff.

Location was good - away from the hubub of Jaco, but close enough to experience it. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool was clean, breakfast was made to order. The grounds were very nice - well maintained. This was very good value.

Being a little out of downtown was not a problem as Uber is under $3. The gorgeous grounds & pool were a welcome haven after being in the busy tourist strip. The open-air restaurant was delicious and very reasonable. Staff friendly & helpful. Big room with hugh bathroom. The double sink had plenty of space for electronics and cosmetics.

The location was perfect! Not right in the busy main drag, but close enough to get to everything in a few minutes, so very quiet. We saw monkeys right near the beautiful pool. The staff is exceptional!! So kind and helpful.

Coffee available at all times. Also a short walk to the Main Street with variety of restaurants and shops. It was very hot during our stay, so we were in the pool multiple times in our 1 night stay. Pool, beach, pool, beach, pool, etc. The beach there has undertow, so it’s a wading beach and not a swimming beach, but we had fun standing about waist deep and getting soaked by the waves rolling in.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is so cute, very clean and it’s close to the beach. It was mainly couples there, and people would hang out by the pool during the day. There’s a bar that opens until about 3pm- music from the bar stops around evening so if you have one of the rooms near the pool it won’t be affect your sleep. We totally relaxed there- would come back here again.

The pool bar was very nice at lunchtime too.

Loved the pool and proximity to the ocean. Restaurant was excellent, as were drinks by the bar at the pool. The service was excellent- there was a power outage out of three control of management and they found us somewhere (more expensive) to stay the first night of stay and made sure that everything worked out.

The grounds and pool are beautiful and well kept. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great. Lots of choices and good Costa Rican coffee. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner as well. Liked the fact they have security patrolling the the grounds at night and a guarded gate at the entrance. The front desk can book you a tour easily at a fair price. Can walk right off the grounds onto the beach to surf or swim. Lots of beach bars/ restaurants in walking distance. El Point is not to be missed. Great sunsets!

I loved the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good, the pool was amazing, and the Zarpe restaurant had really yummy food and drinks. The proximity to the beach was a plus, and it's a nicer beach compared to the beach closer to town. Our room was spacious and airy and I loved all the storage for our clothes and the desk area for eating or putting on makeup. Plus there's a huge full length mirror which I loved. I also loved the welcome drink, that was a really nice touch.

This place is so amazing! The staff are so friendly. They get to know you as a person and remember what your preferences are. The pool is beautiful and never crowded. The view of the pool and the ocean is breathtaking. The restaurant has some of the best food I’ve had in CR. And the spa is incredible.

This is a truly great place to stay! It is at the end of Jaco Beach which makes it very quiet yet very convenient. The hotel is very clean and homey. It has a great little bar and restaurant area with very good food. There is also a small outside bar near the pool and beach. Security at the hotel is excellent. Many of the staff here have worked here for years. I have stayed here many times now and it truly is always great!

The infinity pool was really breathtaking with the ocean view in the background. It was a really relaxing atmosphere with great food options and drinks. The staff was super helpful and accommodating for any requests. The staff spoke both English and Spanish. We even loved the onsite cat!

A very cute, chic and modern boutique hotel. The hotel itself only has about 11-12 rooms and then they have a lodge a little further down the property. Nice infinity pool & free breakfast every morning was awesome with nice selections as well. You also get a welcome drink upon arrival!

We saw the resort on our way south. It looked interesting so we checked it out online. We drove back to the and booked one of the last available room. The whole resort has been expanded and renovated. It has an infinity pool overlooking the ocean with a full-service poolside bar. The restaurant serves a wide variety of food with an excellent selection of seafood. Dinner is served inside with excellent views or on an elevated deck designed to take full advantage of the sunset. Service was enthusiastic and professional. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

I love this hotel. It's in the best location....down the quiet end of the beach and very beautiful. It's clean, simple, spacious rooms are very comfortable and had everything I need. The staff are wonderful - helpful & friendly - and the beach restaurant is great, lovely food, good music with an incredible view. This was a nice beachfront hotel at a good value. Staff was really nice and the food at the restaurant was good (but expensive). I really liked this hotel. If I could make suggestions for improvement it would be to offer beach towels or lounge chairs. They give you pool and shower towels but warn you not to use them at beach. I've never stayed in a 4 star beach hotel before that didn't have lounge chairs/ umbrellas on the beach or beach towels. I would stay again.

This property is a little far to walk into the little town Jaco, but I liked it. It was clean and comfortable, had a pretty garden and pool, and is right on the beach. The restaurant is also good, although expensive, as are many restaurants in Costa Rica! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Family of 5 had a wonderful time in our 3 BR condo. Very clean, spacious, great water pressure in showers, convenient washer & dryer in unit. Nice beach club nearby, great local pool w/ jacuzzi in our back yard, good restaurants nearby. Very safe and beautiful grounds. Fun to see local monkey family in marina parking lot.

We love the Condo, you feel like home at the beach. Very safe place, distance between the beach and the Condo is far, you need to use your car to go everywhere. Swimming pool not big but nice and warm. Beach is small. There are nice gardens, fountains and restaurants! Marina is beautiful. Ice cream is delicious at the Marina Stores. Golf areas are amazing. We love the place!

The property is right on the beach with a small pool that the children enjoyed. The room worked well for a family because of the futon in the kitchen/dining area. The beach is really pretty with an amazing sculpture of a mermaid in the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and had a laundry service. The breakfast was also very good!

The location was exceptional with a nice pool and great beach steps away. Each unit felt like your own apartment and the patio was perfect for reading or relaxing surrounded by nature. The breakfast was a nice way to start every day. The staff was nice.

Emilio and the staff were so friendly and attentive. You're taken care of. Also we were upgraded to a better room which was available. The hotel is just a few steps away from Esterillos Beach, so it's a good spot for surfers. Pool and room are often cleaned and there's a dedicated parking space.

It is nice hotel with small pool near the beach. Rooms are comfortable and bigger you have needed area for all you things and baggages. Beach is calm and the sea is not deep - it should be good for families with children. For us it was nice place for last day near the sea. In Esterillos we saw more than 30 parrots Ara :D ... We can recommend this place!

We loved our stay at Pumillo Mountain and Beach Resort. We couldn't see the beach from the resort but we really enjoyed the forest- like setting. The pool was refreshing, the massages were reasonably priced and incredibly relaxing ( and the massages are done in a beautiful pagoda like structure surrounded by foliage). The dinner and breakfast were very good, as was the service. We will definitely be back!!

This hotel is Amazing. If you want a tranquil and peaceful place close to Jaco Beach, this is the place. Beautiful pools, nice rooms and good Breakfast. Geiner was very friendly and helpful. He even suggested visiting some waterfalls close by even though we didn’t have the time to do this.

Set on a dry riverbed with beautiful, beautiful grounds. Our room, which overlooked the pool, was spacious and comfortable with an outdoor kitchen and a lovely shower. It’s five or ten minutes from the seedy town of Jaco. I’m so glad we stayed here and not in town. You can feel comfortable walking around and there’s one restaurant (Roberto’s) within walking distance.

This feels like a hidden gem. It is a smaller quiet hotel in the middle and of the jungle. We saw birds & lizards. The pool is beautiful. The staff is amazing & so helpful. They were happy to help with anything we needed. It was family friendly. We felt safe. Highly recommend!

This is an exceptional stay. Outstanding, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and really nice rooms. Calming, green forest surrounding our balcony above the pool. The best part is it’s away from the hustle and sleaze of Jaco but a quick drive if u want to be there. A real gem!

We decided to book an impromptu trip to Costa Rica and lucked out at Villa Creole. The hotel was a short walk to Jaco Beach (and a short drive to some great beaches and Manuel Antonio State Park), but was secluded enough to feel safe and separated from the bustle of the town. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious, and the room and pool clean and comfortable. Creole is not the most luxurious place to stay in Jaco, but for most of us who vaca on a budget, you can’t do much better.

We loved our stay! The room is spotless clean and very spacious. We loved Delphine who welcomes you and is a lovely woman. The rooms are very well maintained. The pool is very clean and the WiFi works well I loved being woken up by scarlet macaw parrots. It was a very safe residential area and we slept very well because the area is so quiet!

Great location being a short walk to downtown but far enough away to be really quiet location. A 15 minute walk or $1.50 taxi ride into town and the beach. Rooms have a small kitchen area with fridge for keeping drinks cold and microwave, etc. Nice pool and bar area where breakfast is served. It's the perfect little hotel to stay at to enjoy Jaco and all of the tours and beach. When the day (or night) is done come back to a small family run hotel for a peaceful night's rest!

My husband and I stayed for a night on the way back to the airport. We spent the day on the beach which is about one mile away and easy to get to. Even closer than the beach was the main road with many shops and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and rooms were spacious and comfortable. We didn’t use the pool but it looked awesome. Very quick check in. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable room in a lovely lush garden setting. We could see macaws from our window and saw a toucan and an iguana in the garden! It’s in a quiet part of town, which we enjoyed. The pool was really big although we didn’t get to use it as much as we wanted as the weather wasn’t great. The terrace is quite big so we could sit out even in the rain. Delphine was very kind and helpful, and super responsive.

The views of the ocean from our pool were stunning! We loved spending time in the pool looking at the ocean and the stars. The space was very clean. We did have a few bugs join us in the main living space. The staff on site cleaned each day and provided us with fresh towels. They were very responsive when we were having WiFi issues, and it was resolved quickly. We loved the quick access to the beach, many restaurants, and national park. We enjoyed our stay!

Akua Oceanview Suites was a wonderful place to visit. The villa was very clean and the view is just incredible! We enjoyed our own private dipping pool and we even saw a monkey in the trees below the villa. The only bad thing is the traffic noise from the street below when you are outside enjoying the pool and views. But once you close the sliding glass doors, it is very quiet. There are excellent restaurants close by and Jaco is just a short drive away. We enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to return.

There are not enough stars to give this property! Beautiful villas, breathtaking view, animals just out our door! We stayed 7 nights in Suite 1, toucans, macaws, kookaburras, iguanas, hummingbirds and a Pizote all viewed from our pool deck. Wonderful indoor shower that could be open to outside, also had an outside shower, private pool with lounge chairs. Very clean, grounds well maintained. Would stay here again happily, honestly it was the best part of our trip!

Absolutely gorgeous views!! The room was lovely, much better in person than pictures. The balcony with plunge pool was amazing as well- unobscured sunset views of the pacific from the pool! We would definitely stay here again. The room does get hot during the afternoon and the ac unit couldn’t keep up with the curtains open, but we requested fans and that made a huge difference. The water pressure was a bit wonky at times. And there’s not a closet or a place to sit luggage so we lived out of our suitcase off the floor. Otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing, it was lovely!

Place felt like home. Breakfast was incredible there, quiet pool area. Just very relaxing and staff is incredible. Luis who runs the bar/pool downstairs was incredible. He’s thoughtful, attentive and just an overall great human being. He made the stay at the hotel that more enjoyable. I’m def going back

A nice small hotel in the middle of Jaco. Only a block off the beach, and there’s a nice pool area / pool bar in the center. Nice value with friendly staff. We did have some issues getting the AC to work well, and there’s a big of a noisy bar across the side street. Large rooms and walking distance to a lot of Jaco

Hotel Ibiza was an excellent place to stay. The room was clean and the service was really good. The pool and bar areas were super clean, relaxing. The food was also very good. I will definitely be back. I would 100% recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a relaxing experience in Jaco. It is centrally located, within walking distance of the beach and local bars and shops. The staff were attentive to guest needs and ensured safety and security of the property at all times. I was able to park my rental car in front with no issues.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PROPERTY! This was a beautiful, well kept condominium with security at the gate to welcome you in. Nelson the security at the gate was very helpful with luggage and giving great recommendations for first timers in Costa Rica! He showed us around and helped with questions about the property. The pool and common areas are clean, well kept and regularly maintained. The rooms inside were spacious, clean, and had chairs inside if going to the beach!

Extremely clean and well maintained. The condos are modern and spacious. The day security guard at the gate , was extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended. Steps away from Main Street and beach, although the town of Jaco itself has really gone downhill. We did not venture out after dark. But we had a nice place to hang out by the pool.

Felt like home away from home, the condo had everything we needed for a comfortable 4 day stay. We made dinner and dessert a couple nights and the kitchen had everything we needed and there was a market on the corner which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool area was clean and the grounds were well maintained, parking is included and gated with 24hr personnel. Cable TV included, all units have 2 bedrooms and a nice outdoor patio with furniture, showers with hot water and kitchen has updated appliances with microwave and dishwasher.

We loved the location - walked everywhere, enough out of the way but close to town and night life. The staff was friendly and helpful, tho I was hoping the condo would be stocked with plain salt- had pepper and garlic salt tho :) Overlooked open land and caught the eagles coasting through the air. The pool was steps away - met a family that traveled from the same area where we had been staying with family. Clean, nicely furnished and would definitely stay again! My husband travels each week and found this a relaxing and welcoming secure complex - a true gem!

My stay at Tuanis was wonderful! The two-bedroom pool-side apartment was clean and cold - the property was maintained VERY WELL - and the staff was incredible! Rates were very fair and the location was PERFECT! I loved every moment, especially when the resident scarlet macaws stopped by every afternoon - I will definitely be back!

This hotel is great. The location is awesome, is near everything: 1 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to Jaco Walk, 3 minute walk to Mas x Menos, and like a 5 minute walk to a lot of great restaurants. The owner, Ricky, is an amazing and kind person. If you ask for any help he will help you. As well the cleaning ladies are also very helpful and kind. The room was very clean and well kept, with a/c, fan, fridge, TV and wifi. And they use solar panels for the electricity consumption of the premises! I will definitely reccomend this place!

The hotel was large and clean. The owner was very helpful and friendly. It's only 5 min. walk to beach, town, and restaurants. Would stay there again.

Felt very comfortable and safe on what to me was a residential street in the middle of bustling Jaco. I enjoyed sitting outside my room and watching the people go by. The beach, food and 2 banks with ATM’s are just steps away.

Our room had absolutely amazing views and was very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. We were in one of the beach view rooms with a large patio and extra bedroom. The property was very quiet. I couldn't hear the noise from the road behind, only the ocean waves. The pool was clean and surrounded by lovely landscaping. The nearby restaurants and bars had a relaxed vibe and plenty of food options. We enjoyed walking down the beach for breakfast and other meals. The scenery was stunning. I highly recommend it, especially if you want a quieter beach than you'll find in Jaco.

The hotel was clean and secure. The staff was super helpful navigating the language barrier and country. Chelsea and the other staff at the front desk made you feel welcome. The black sand beach is just a few steps from the hotel. The pool and grounds are clean and personal. I think all the rooms have an ocean view and balcony. The only thing I would say could help perfect the stay is a coffee maker( there is an expresso machine). The hotel is also close to major road. Our personal experience was amazing and we will be back.

This is truly a nice getaway oasis. The rooms are nicely arranged and clean. Really relaxing swimming pool. Some decent restaurants nearby and Jaco is a short taxi ride away for more shopping stores. The best is staff. They are a very dedicated staff. Shout out to Chelsea for handling some changes to my reservation by phone. She made it easy. Oh, lastly, the view is amazing and if you surf you are going to be very happy.

The backyard is really amazing, with a nice pool and wonderful view to the beach. Unfortunately they can’t offer breakfast. It isn’t a modern house but it’s in good conditions.

We loved the infinity pool. Did not like the location of our rooms. The rooms had a lovely view but were very far away from pool and restaurant and the walk was uphill. Definitely not suited for anyone wiyh mobility issues.

It offers spectacular views, good food, and polite customer service. It also has a good spa offering and an amazing yoga spot. You can see a lot of wild animals. The infinity pool is amazing and it offers an incredible view.

A slice of heaven: the beautiful beach, the infinity pool, the fabulous food and cocktails, the spectacular views! I loved it all!

Romantic property is known for its bird’s eye views of the ocean. Sunset is not to miss. Lovely infinity pool. Fine outdoor dining with opportunities for guests to spot macaws and toucans. Offers a variety of unique rooms. We recommend the villas and rooms 85, 86, 87 and 88.

The appears very new. Beautiful pool and nice small restaurant. Service was excellent. Staff at the front desk, pool bar and restaurant were all very helpful and spoke English. Highly recommended.

Overall it was really, really great! The noise from the pool can get loud on the weekends, and there’s not really any rooms that aren’t right by the pool, but this wasn’t a huge issue, just something we noticed. The staff were great, they keep the rooms and hotel very clean, the location is nice and close to downtown Jaco, and lots of other great activities! We would stay here again for sure!

Paradise Bay Hotel is an amazing place to stay. The staff are extremely kind, helpful, and easy to reach through Whatsapp. They do have free beach transportation, but it is a beautiful, star-fruit filled, less than 10 min walk to Playa Herradura (aka heaven on earth). Breakfast included with your room, beautiful pool/hot tub/snack lounge on property, and a delicious restaurant on property. All the restaurants are very close, have great quality food at a very reasonable price. I cannot recommend Paradise Bay Hotel enough.

The Paradise (newly remodeled) was an excellent choice for our mid-Feb stay. Hotel staff from reception to check-out were terrific 10+. Rooms were spacious and spotless. Interior and exterior were freshly painted. Pool was sparkling clean. Location was very convenient, only a block from the shopping plaza in one direction and the beach and Coco's in the other. Restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Food was very good and wait-staff very accommodating. If you're sport fishing and looking for lodging, this is the place.

A nice small hotel located near Herradura Beach(Not on the beach). The small pool was nice to be able to cool off in. You can walk to the beach in about 8 minutes or they will provide a ride. The onsite spa was excellent, as was the breakfast at the attached restaurant. (Peppers) Service and food at the restaurant was also very good.

The location is absolutely amazing, it’s directly in front of the beach. The pool is lovely and the staff are very helpful. The beach in front of the hotel is a spot for turtles to nest, and the hotel’s staff is involved in conservation. They have a number of protected nesting spots where teams relocate the eggs for them to hatch safely. Super comfortable hotel with a hand in conservation - I very much recommend this place for your stay in Jaco!

They bring beach chairs and an umbrella out to the beach for you. The pool is nice. The breakfast is great, they have 5 options. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean rooms and a great breakfast at the restaurant next door. The pool was nice but I only used it once. Great location by the beach for great sunsets. Safe in room and plenty of towels offered.

Overall, I liked the Balcon del Mar. In my opinion, some prior reviews gave the hotel a bad rap. The rooms were clean, the pools were clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Note: Balcon del Mar is for families with kids. It's not for single guys who go to Jaco for the nightlife. The hotel's posted policy prohibits female visitors not listed as hotel guests on the room registration form during check-in. (No problem for female guests present during check-in who signed the room registration form.)

Crocs is a really nice hotel. I really enjoyed the pool. Its close to Jaco Walk and the atv, zipline excursions. I wanted the pool to pop though with some music and vibes. But it was good for relaxing. The bar locals was really good

We booked a superior one bed apartment with pool and garden view and were dismayed to be given an apartment overlooking the road at the back. The Manager was excellent in sorting this out and we transferred to another apartment with a view which included the ocean. He brought up chairs and a table for the balcony, too. The location right on the beach was lovely and the heated pool was clean and relaxing.

The location is amazing, right at the ocean. Restaurant with ocean view with really great food. Surfspot in front of the hotel and a pool for those who wish to swim in a pool. Staff was really friendly. You fall asleep withbthesound of waves. If you are lucky you can see a whale.

On the beach, food was amazing and large variety on menu, dining is next to the ocean, black sand beach, close to good pizza and 24 hr store for any extras needed, allowed early check in, did a load of laundry for us for small free and left folded in our room, beautiful pool, beautiful sitting area for our room with pool and ocean view, beautiful macaws around property

The place is situated right at the beach and far from anything that could stress you. Staff is warmly welcoming, helpful and most friendly. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The Restaurant provided solid breakfast to start my day. Having Pool and Beach access is a big win. Since there are plenty of palm trees, there‘s enough shade for everyone. The beach is taken care of and very clean.

Close to Jaco,, but not so close you hear the noise! The only issue was that is was school break and some parents let their children be in the pool alone .

We stayed in one of the three villas with a full kitchen, two bedrooms and one bath. Easy access to the pool and a bar area. I’m addition to the villas there are rooms surrounding the pool but it’s a very cozy, intimate area completely surrounded by tropical plants. The staff were very sweet, most spoke English. The kitchen has adequate supplies but you will need to buy coffee, paper towels, condiments, etc. Breakfast was included and quite good with plenty of choices.

The staff and accomodations at Las Brisas are amazing. Wonderful quiet pool area. Would stay here again anytime! We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. It was huge. Was awesome to have our own outdoor area as well. Very private. Loved it here. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was outstanding. Would love to come back again some day. P.s. The only thing that could have been better, was if they served blender drinks at the bar by the pool. Pina Coladas etc. Thank u for the wonderful hospitality.

Stayed one night to break our trip from Arenal to Manuel Antonio. Very quiet location just out of Jaco. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great and included yoghurts, fresh fruits, bakery items and French toast. The pool and jacuzzi was wonderful and provided relief from heat and humidity. Extremely helpful staff.

Very nice room with refrigerator and microwave, things we had been missing since coming to Costa Rica! AC worked nicely and the room was comfortable. The pool area was really nice, and the bar/restaurant was good and accommodating. Breakfast was very good with many choices each day and food and drinks were available at the bar throughout the day over the weekend. Owners and staff were all very gracious and friendly, and helpful.

Quiet little hotel. Staff so so nice. Two iguana couples live on the property and visit the pool. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Pool and grounds pretty. Definitely would stay here again.

Great iguana sanctuary/habitat in courtyard. Tons of fun watching! Great for families, solo. Disco/karaoke bar 1 block away is very noisy. Strong emphasis on recycling here! Yay! Great A/C

Amazing hotel for families with children. The 3 pools and Jacuzzi all worked and my 2 & 4 yr old loved the place. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The hotel staff and owner (Yes the owner is on site and takes the time to ensure everybody is enjoying there stay.

Nice and clean hotel on the beach with large balcony and decent pool , but no fridge in the room. For a 3 star hotel and the price we paid that was disappointing. Breakfast was available: tasty and not very expensive.

I stayed in one of the cylinder rooms for my 40th birthday. It was a super unique room and I'm glad I booked it. It still had shared restrooms, but the restrooms were well kept and super clean. The cylinder rooms have an A/C unit as well, so it is easy to get the room down to a comfortable temperature for sleeping. The rest of the resort is also amazing. They have a surf school, nice, clean outdoor pool, and a full-service bar and restaurant. I would absolutely recommend this place and especially the cylinder rooms for anyone looking for somewhere unique to stay.

Amazing place to stay. Selina is clean and completely safe as it has security after hours. Jaco walk is easily accessible for lunch/dinner. Selina also has great food options. Right next to the beach and pool is great too.

This is the only place to stay in Jaco. The property has a pool and bar/restaurant right on the beach, which is spectacular. Food and drinks were fabulous, and the accommodations were more than adequate, especially for the price. There were some issues because the hotel was undergoing some renovations. However. The management and staff go above and beyond to make sure that their guests are happy. The property is beautiful, with gardens, and the beach, but what makes this place great is the management and staff. Even with the minor issues it's still 5 star, especially for the price.

Stayed in a private room with private bathroom for the second time in a week. The property itself is great. A well-cared for pool, bar/restaurant, plenty of seating, great views. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially when booking shuttles or excursions. I do have to say that the beds are pretty hard with flat pillows (as experienced in two different rooms), and being along the main pathway was pretty loud at night, but that’s to be expected at a hostel! Highly recommend and we will be back!

It has everything nice rooms,pools, clubs and food.

Just wow, this place is amazing. It’s a safe spot to unwind after a fun night of partying. Managed to do at least 4 different bars including the bar on site for a night of fun. With a working a/c and a comfortable bed after a long night of partying i would highly recommend and come back. The staff is beyond sweet and friendly even if your English is terrible like mine

I was worried it was going to be crazy with the restaurant and bar/lounge so close to the rooms. It wasn't though, it actually really quiet and my king bed was incredibly clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I will consider this hotel again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The wall safe seemed to be secure which was a definite plus in my favor. The list goes on.

Beautiful hotel close to San Jose, good for family, couples. Lovely private beach, though not for swimming. Staff at restaurant and pool can improve customer service, they seem quiet unorganized and take way too long to serve a simple soda, it took around 2 hrs to get an order of nachos at the pool, it was not crowded at all. A part from this, the hotel is confortable, nice pool and beach.

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the beach, food and service. Construction around the swim up bar/ pool caused closure , no use so we used the upper pool.

Extremely gracious staff and a beautiful location. The outdoor restaurant serves really good food including a nice complimentary breakfast. Fresh fish and killer ceviche on the menu for lunch and dinner. The outdoor dining room is huge and the view is fantastic - right on the beach. In fact, a few small waves top the low wall at high tides. No swimming in the ocean (dangerous conditions) but the pool and swim-up bar were fab. We stayed at Terraza Del Pacifico on our way down to Osa and liked it so much we reserved a room for 2 nights on our way back to San Jose.

This property has a spectacular view looking straight down the entire Gulf of Nicoya which you can enjoy from the infinity pool just steps from your room. It is 10 minutes from Carara National Park and Crocodile/wildlife boat tours on the Tarcoles River. And Dinnette (sp?) is a very wonderful and gracious host. Note the property is up a private street directly off of Highway 34, as shown on Google Map, but there is no sign marking the property at the turnoff. The property is at the end of the road with no sign identifying it. But it is a real find!

We loved this property so much! We spent one night at this location while travelling between Puntarenas and Manuel Antonio National park. Unit had everything we needed and was spacious. There was even a kitchen, which if we had stayed multiple days we would have used this for sure! We took a swim in the pool in the evening and it was a great infinity pool. I think our favourite part was the patio /view. We spent a lot of time outside in the evening and morning. The large tree directly in front of our unit had Scarlet Macaws in it and seeing them in the morning was incredible! Staff was wonderful and bed / room was cozy. Highly recommend staying here!

The property was clean and quiet, located away from the town center. The owner was very friendly and communication was great. She provided us with a location via whatsapp which made it very easy to find the place. The room had a small kitchenette and air conditioning which was very helpful. The landscaping around the pool was beautiful and the view of the bay was amazing.

The view was amazing with Macaw's and Toucan's right out side our room. The location is great with the National park 5 minutes one way and restaurants 5 minutes the other way. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Room was clean and nicely decorated. It is a steep hill up to the location but it is paved. Pool could use some cleaning, but otherwise this was a wonderful location.

A comfortable clean and nicely designed room next to the pool with a fantastic view. Easy to pass hours on the shady veranda. Close to town but not in it, not far from calm Playa Mantas. And Elisa and her dog were very welcoming and helpful. We will go again while to or from San Jose airport.

The pools and restaurants were great and the white sand and blue water at Playa Blanca were extraordinary. We saw some cool sea life in the tide pools. We enjoyed playing mini golf and ping pong as well. It's a great spot for a family vacation. We were also thrilled to find out the friendly folks at Golf Cart Rentals could fix our flat tire with a nail puncture for only $10!

This resort is in a nature preserve so the bird watching is amazing with scarlet macaws active every morning. The room was clean and comfortable and had air conditioning. There are a couple of areas to the resort but each has access to pools, restaurants and a bar. The trails throughout are beautiful and well maintained. Playa Mantas is a pretty beach and there is a hotel shuttle to take you to Playa Blanca. I highly recommend Punta Leona as a beautiful resort on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

Hotel Punta Leona was excellent, clean, and relaxing place. Private beach, many pools, and many amenities for the kids. Breakfast was good and many restaurants outside the premises. I would return if I’m in the area again.

I like to stay on the 3rd floor so I have an ocean view but you do have to walk up the steps. The pool is always sparkling clean and refreshing. I love the tiki bar they have between the pool and beach - great drinks and food and service. I also love the breakfast that is included with your stay. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The best are the people that work there. They are always helpful and so nice. Just a lovely place to stay.

Is not a fancy hotel. however, has everything you need, clean, good air conditioning and hot water. Pool is perfect, walk easy to the beach. Restaurant and bar near the pool. The restaurant has good food but not a big selection but you always can order out to be deliver. Do not let the entrance turn you off. Is a really good small hotel.

This property has a beautiful location right on the beach!! the pool is perfect. We loved our stay very much, we recommend rooms 14, 15...those in the back facing the pool that is right next to the bar, which is on the other side of the beach. You can't beat it!

Older charming hotel. Great traditional Costa Rica breakfast daily. Nice pool. Amazing beach. Able to rent boogie boards and take surf lessons. Efran at the beach bar was friendly and made great cocktails. Katherine at front desk was very helpful. She made arrangements for excursions and taxis and was so very nice. Sweet hotel dog Flocko was a memorable part of our stay. Would return.

The hotel staff was professional helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily. Exactly what it says it is. Location is excellent there is a good bar for sunsets. Coffee was great every morning. Pool was nice a relaxing and comfortable. Only positive vibes. Recommend to anyone who wants an affordable comfortable place to stay with family or friends. Pura Vida ! 😎

A comfortable, clean hotel right across the street from the beach! Includes free hot breakfast (rice/beans, fresh fruit, eggs, meat, potatoes, fried plantain, coffee, juice, milk). Rooms include refrigerator and balcony, some with views of pool or beach. Bar is open all day; serves fairly priced drinks and great pizza. Beds are clean and comfortable with soft linens and lots of pillows. Located on the edge of town, so not much traffic. Found it to be a quiet, convenient and relaxing home base during our visit.

Pro’s: Beautiful location, directly across from a quiet beach Clean rooms Feels very safe Great pool area Friendly service, very accommodating and helpful Breakfast is included (full CR breakfast, really good!) The entire location is VERY dog friendly! This was a great hotel for a short getaway- we live in San Jose and wanted an escape to the beach. We parked our car Saturday morning and never left until Sunday afternoon. Great food at the restaurant, relaxing pool with lots of loungers, attentive service, and sunset at the beach. The perfect weekend!

The property andthe room were very clean. This hotel is obviously very family friendly but the noise level from 8 AM until 11 PM is quite substantial especially with a pool front room. The dining room area was not super clean and the food was average. But decent. The location is excellent across from the beach, but the locals love to gather across the road for beach access so it’s definitely not very private. The staff was wonderful and I would recommend this equivalent to a two star in the United States.

I like that the property has 2 pools areas with both kids pools! Really kid friendly. Loved the area beachfront not so crowded like in the middle of the Jaco, really friendly staff and really clean place, although it doesn't have a restaurant or a bar due to covid hits you have a lot of options around in where to eat! I really liked the place although it has like a backyard that I think that space it is not well utilized. But overall pretty good for the price we even had a extra bed.

What a great find! Beautiful property on the beach, 2 adult pools & 2 kids pools, and an easy walk into town for supplies. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and most speak at least some English. Our room was comfy and cool. The food at the restaurant was only so-so, but the drinks were great! :-)

The place has a lot of space and well kept, the pools are nice and clean and the beach is very near although not to swim, just to walk and hang out. Jaco beaches to swim are close though. We saw iguanas, racoons and squirrels :) Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, a little small, but comfortable. AC worked perfectly and there was cable tv. Improve opportunities: there isn't a restaurant in place so you need to order in or go to a restaurant. Bring lots and lots of repellent since mosquitoes are relentless.

The property is falling apart and there is no longer food service at the property but it’s comfortable, quiet and located right on the beach. The staff is very helpful s asks spoke good English. The shower had hot water and A/C worked. The beach side pool was a bit greenish and we found a few blue crabs in it but it’s was swimable. The standing water in the river created a breeding ground for bugs but it’s pretty much expected in Jaco. The best bonus for me was a free surf lessons included with the booking. I will definitely come back.

Hotel Amapola is a great place over Jaco Beach. Just perfect for families with small kids. The pool is great and it has amenities for the small ones and for adults. Rooms are excellent and just in front of the pool. Mexican restaurant beside the hotel is great! Ask for the Tacos for Share (pa’ compartir)

I had an extremely good time in General. Staff were genuinely friendly and attentive.the room was well furbished and had a good view over the well m aintained gardens and pool.( The bed was a little hard for me.) I had breakfast every day in the Restaurant which was of excellent quality but the service was a bit hit and miss.Plenty of things to do around town and other areas of interest. I would not hesitate to reccommend it to anyone and intend to return as soon as possible. This holiday was ten times better than my last experience in Jamaica.

Great staff. My first room had a problem with the A/C ..they switched me right away to the room nextdoor. ..so I didnt have to drag all my stuff to a different building.I had awesome weather...really enjoyed the pool and bar..I think the bartenders name is Mariella?? and her husband runs the Italian restuarant in front of the hotel...The pizza and the rest of the food there is top notch..they have lobster and tilapia tanks so....you get as fresh as fresh can get ...I ate there every night...great waiters too...Gracias Luis.!!.....Also get a massage the price was cheap and well worth it.!

There is a nice little pool in the courtyard which is great for kids and family.

The hotel restaurant had great food with large portions. The service was friendly and caring. The only problem we had was one bed in room 13 felt like we were sleeping on just box springs. And the TV would not turn on unless you pressed all kinds of buttons. With two toddlers that made it kind of difficult to relax. The shower was very large and nice to shower in. The pool was nice and well maintained. overall for the price it was great!!

This hotel is in a great location with very friendly laid back staff, you get a delicious free breakfast every morning if your up in time. There is a club right next door to this hotel so it can be noisy at night if your going to bed early. If your down to have a great time there is a pool that seems to be open 24/7 and from what I saw there is just a night time security that stands outside the gate to avoid stragglers from coming in. The rooms are very clean, there's a small fridge and the beds are nice and fluffy. I would stay here again if I went back to Jaco.

Great spot for a group of buddies looking for fun in the sun. It's near the casinos (but there's no gambling commission, so player beware) Nice, but small pool. Close to beach. Strong AC. Decent bar and free breakfast.

We booked for 1 night, then rebooked for a second. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the region. The parking lot was small but under camera surveillance so gave a feeling of security. We enjoyed the pool and the quiet time it offered after the heat of the day. It seemed as if no question or request was too trivial for the staff to deal with efficiently and cheerfully. I would be delighted to stay here again.

Nice hotel. Air conditioner is a must in the area. They also included a continental breakfast and pool. Was fairly close to the main city strip and close to the beach.

Great hotel!! , very quiet, simple, really nice pool kept clean 247 beautiful plants and trees and toucans visit often.

Very helpful staff. Managers spoke very good English and were helpful. Sweet pool with lots of singing birds. Only downside is I didn’t always have hot water. I’d stay there again for sure.

A basic hotel, but actually it was very convinient. And a laundry place very near :) No breakfast and coffee only for money, but there is a small swimming pool . O.K.

Very big pool. Room was a bit small and there was a lot of wasted bathroom space. The pool activities and music were too loud.

The hotel is pretty nice, desk front service very friendly. Breakfast is very vary and you have different choices to choose from. I do think it will be nice to do more activities , in the pool, with the kids, maybe at night.

I loved the swimming pool and my girlfriends really enjoyed it also and the breakfast was great.The room was nice but the bathroom was very small and the hot water was not working but other than that I really liked this hotel.

I like the all inclusive it has many delicious food and beverages. The pool is very good and the rooms are so nice

Owner was friendly. Place was clean. Pool nice. Property a bit run down. I booked by the advertisment of a restaurant on premises. Think: convenient am coffee. There was a good eatery close to the hotel for pm eats. Ok facilities for an overnight stay. Jaco itself is very seedy. Casinos, prostitution, etc. It is what it is. Will avoid this area in the future. All things said, had a good night's sleep, a/c, pool, hot water and a great dinner at Koko's.

60's style motel directly on the beach. Very basic, and scrupulously clean, both rooms and pool, with a good bed. The courtyard has a gate opening on the beach. Our host, Bret, is warm and welcoming. It has no services, but it's only a short block from the main street and adjacent to an excellent reasonably-priced restaurant. We planned to stay for one night but ended up staying three. We will be back.

Bed was comfy and situated just at the beach which made it perfect and easier to go to and from the beach using the hotel’s private entrance. Owner of the hotel was super nice and friendly who suggested places I could go, food options and other things one can do. I love every bit of my stay and wished I could stay longer

At the beach. Nice clean rooms. Safe available in room. Walk-in shower. Good host. Adjacent to famous Cocal Hotel… that’s good depending on your interests. It does mean there’s a lot of evening activity nearby.

Beautifully located directly on the beach in the center of Jaco. With great dining options right out the front gate and a vibrant nightlife. Yet Gallina de palo is a quiet place to view stunning sunsets.

Pretty much the perfect location. You can walk to restaurants, beach, stores etc. Great pool onsite and a great breakfast included. The beaches in Jaco are t the cleanest or whitest but that’s no fault of the hotels. The staff was friendly. Most especially Johnny. He went way out of his way to make our stay it’s best. Most importantly he does this because he loves making people happy, sincerely. This hotel is great but Johnny is the cherry on top. Can you imagine.... He got my girlfriend a protective hat to wear on the beach for our entire stay. Who does things like that?

If you in Jaco for good environment stay here. Kids and family friendly. Convenient location. Staff is nice and make you feel welcome. They also have chair at the beach for you. Beach front and pool. Breakfast. Love this place

This hotel was in a great location, a block from the Main Street through town and about in the middle, the beach was right across the street. Good breakfast, pools were nice, rooms clean. Only bad thing is that it’s very loud at night when the bars and clubs close people go to the beach and play loud music until about 5:00 am, this isn’t the hotels fault, but I’d recommend taking ear plugs.

Very nice hotel. Pool area is nice and comfortable. Right on the beach is picture perfect. Walking distance to everything you want. Good breaky in the morning on beach front open cafe. Highly recommend this hotel
