My family and I enjoyed our stay at Ekhaya Boutique Hotel. Our interaction with each staff member was warm and welcoming, from the security guard on duty to housekeeping. Zanele and her team were exceptional. We really have nothing to fault. The rooms were spacious, each with their own ensuite, and lacked nothing. You can immediately tell, from the moment you enter the hotel, that the owner is well traveled as everything about the place, especially the amenities found in the rooms, were well thought through which often lack with other hotels. Everything you could possibly need to feel comfortable away from home is available in your room. The welcome biscuits in each room was a thoughtful touch and the breakfast was delicious. Visiting Ekhaya Boutique Hotel is definitely worth the stay.

I Absolutely love everything about my stay from the security guard who was friendly to the staff who checked me in to the room which was soo beautiful and I loved the bathroom set up and all the extras the items that guests could forget at home. you have an amazing team, and the customer service is out of this world pleas please don't ever loose that it is the most refreshing thing to experience. the most amazing thing I had was dinner i has the grilled line fish with chips and salad... It was AMAZING and fresh and cooked to perfection!!!! the oat crunchies in the bedroom are phenomenal and if I could have bought a packet to take home I would have.

Location was great as its near to a brilliant restaurant called Lupa, cant recommend that restaurant enough, food is exceptional. The hotel breakfast was nice and the staff very welcoming. Little touches like slippers and amenities in the bathroom were very welcome. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to others. We felt very safe staying there.

Breakfast was exactly as I requested it to be. I did not have to wait too long for my breakfast to be made. The breakfast area is also very neat and clean. The staff are super friendly and accommodating.

The location is excellent, close to amenities. I loved the pool area. The place was clean and comfortable, working AC and hot water in the shower. There was also housekeeping to clean while we were out. TV has access to showmax and Netflix. There's wifi which had a good connection I was happy about that. I loved the host, she was welcoming and informed us of everything, including scheduled loadshedding.

Lovely location, clean, comfortable, and bigger than expected. Shower and toilet are not in the bedroom, which is fantastic for extra privacy. Balcony was a lovely addition, And even though we didn’t use the top floor pool, it looked very inviting, with a beautiful view! Will definitely book again.

It was a very cosy and beautiful apartment. We loved the fact that it is located close to restaurants and other amenities. The room is fitted with entertainment in case you want to be indoors. The pool area was clean and peaceful 😊 We really enjoyed our stay

The neighborhood is amazing. I loved the apartment it is cute cosy and warm. The rooftop pool was the cherry on top. All stores and restaurants are nearby and the parking is safe.

The apartment is gorgeous, spacious and has a fantastic balcony overlooking quirky, quaint and upmarket restaurants. The leisurely swimming pool provides kiddies with some fun in the sun.

We had a wonderful stay at Westwood Skye Durban! Our group consisted of 16 family members, and we had the perfect setup with two separate holiday homes — one for the adults and the other for the youngsters. This arrangement worked out beautifully, giving everyone their own space while still allowing us to spend quality time together. Both homes were clean, spacious, and very well-maintained. The decor was tasteful, and all the necessary amenities were provided, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The kids especially loved having their own space, and the adults appreciated the peace and relaxation on their side! The host was friendly, professional, and always available to assist with anything we needed. The location is safe, convenient, and close to everything Durban has to offer. It was truly a memorable family getaway, and we highly recommend Westwood Skye to any large family or group looking for a comfortable and well-organized place to stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We cook for ourselves. Perfect location, extremely safe place to stay, friendly staff, very neat but only that they do not do cleaning during weekends and replacing of towels but other than that an excellent place to stay. We will most definitely use it again.

Everything was as advertised. Images on their website were the actual images. The place was remarkably well kept. Easy to access. We really had a good stay. Wifi worked, DSTV worked. Place was quiet and staff was extremely friendly.

The stay at Ocean Vista far exceeded my expectations. Snezana is a wonderful host and put so much love in her guesthouse. The design is beautiful and you have a lot of space to chill and relax, from the pool to a huge terrace to a comfortable lounge with an honesty bar. If you feel like staying in, which can easily happen in this wonderful property, you also have the opportunity to order food and use a dining room for it. If you feel like going out the location is perfect with a lost of restaurants and a huge mall close by. The staff is amazing and breakfast is delicious.

From the moment I stepped into the property, I was warmly greeted by the host Snezana who is so sweet and friendly. I booked for a little quiet time as it was my birthday. I hadn't mentioned this before, but when i mentioned on arrival, the following day there was a little cute something on my bed which I thought was so cute and thoughtful. The facilities were spotless and the breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly as well. Had a lovely view of the ocean and was able to use their pool. I cannot wait to book this place again.

Sne the owner is such an amazing host! Warm and helpful from the moment we arrived at Ocean Vista. The view from the balcony & pool area is absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable, not to mention the cleanliness of the beautiful house. Definitely a place you want to go to again 😍 Much thanks to Sne and her staff for making our stay there enjoyable 🌸 I'll for sure be revisiting the next time I'm in Durban

I loved everything about it ! It’s as beautiful as shown in the images , lovely host and stuff . It has breathtaking views - all we did was chill either by the pool area and swim or chill by the roof top enjoying drinks with an amazing view !

We loved this place. The views from the top deck and lounge were absolutely breathtaking. we walked into town along the promenade and made some time to enjoy the small pool and deck as well. Prior to my recent visit, I was last here in February 2022. When I compare then to now, the place is still amazing. The B&B is consistent in terms of deliverying great service. The staff is the friendliest in the world, I am touched by their friendliness, it is rare to find these days. The view was beautiful, the pool was relaxing, the room was neat and the breakfast delicious.

It's the second time we've stayed at this guesthouse. The location is great, a 5 minutes walk to a supermarket and many restaurants, 7 minutes walk to the promenade on the beach. The room (selfcatering - Yellowwood) was very spacious, with a small kitchenette and a sitting area. Private terrace, beautiful garden and nice (small) pool. Breakfast is simple but good (hot/cold dishes). Staff very pleasant and helpful.

We booked a couple of nights here on arriving into Umhlanga and prior to starting out tour itinerary. We liked it so much we also booked for a couple of nights at the end of our tour as it is convenient for the Airport (20 minutes away). Well located premises, close to the centre of Umhlanga and the beach. Both easily walkable. Nice simple room and a great choice of breakfast foods, from fruit, yoghurt, cereals, pastries and cooked breakfast. There’s an ‘honesty bar’ with beers and wine if you fancy a tipple in your room or around the pool. Ample secure parking available.

Very comfortable, very clean, loved sitting on the verandah eating breakfast which set us up for the whole day. Sea views where lovely. The whole place was fitted with antiquities and full of love and great style. Lots of comfy sofas to sit and read quietly. Didn't use the pool as winter but would have done. The decor of the rooms are exquisite. Even though the location is central we had the benefit of being tucked away from noise in the area. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast area overlooking the pool is divine, plus a view of the ocean adds to the pleasure! It's the finer details that sets Goble Palms apart from other lodges. The English style pub is great. The staff are also amazing, friendly and very helpful.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful - we enjoyed sitting on the terrace and the views of the sea. The pool was also great and we loved the beanbags. We also enjoyed the honesty bar. More than anything, the decor and the atmosphere was very convivial and totally unique, with books and furniture, such as a rolltop bath, which were evocative of a bygone era, but combined with all the modern comforts such as AC. We loved the touches such as complimentary drinks, books and magazines in our rooms.

Lionel is a delightful host - friendly and conducive and was very helpful to all of us, including our teenage boy who was travelling with. The rooms are such a joy, the food is delicious and plentiful with a lovely view and the pool area is perfect for relaxing.

Place in a beautiful location with a clean pool,the staff there Philane made my stay comfortable and the breakfast was delicious while having a view of the ocean. The place has a bar where you can serve yourslef. definitely coming back

The location was parallel to Florida Road and a walkable distance to multiple restaurants. It was in a quiet area which is something I was looking for. The hotel staff were quite friendly. The hotel room was also clean and neat and they also had WiFi.

To provide an honest review, the location is ideal. The hotel is situated near Florida Road, which is the busiest area in Durban with numerous restaurants. The room was exceptionally clean, and the shower, toilet, and bed were very comfortable. The staff members were friendly and always willing to assist. Most importantly, the security measures were excellent, which is crucial, especially for those unfamiliar with the area.

I liked the color scheme...greys...whites and black...AMAZING. Good lighting...very romantic The receptionist we found was very nice. She made us feel at home and we definitively coming back cz we found a sister. We liked the location, bathroom...overall room...close to all good restuarants. Very private area. The cleaning staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Room was fantastically clean and FRESH smelling.

It’s just a walking distance to Florida Road filled with too many restaurants to try out. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The area is very peaceful, no noise at night. The walls are high, when your car is parked you feel it’s safe.

The receptionist upon arrival on the 15th March was exceptionally kind and compassionate after I had been through a very stressful time..what an exceptional human being. Room was spacious, so comfortable, clean, quiet, windows were open and it felt like home. Shower was magnificent and so were the smellies left there for body and hair washing. BIG THUMBS UP!!!

We loved how wonderful it looked, how clean and modern it is, and the food was exceptional! We loved the variety at breakfast. The rooftop restaurant and bar are stunning, and I would have loved to take a dip in the pool if the weather was better. It’s very close to the beach, but I wish the rooms were beach-facing. I still highly recommend this hotel!

The Superior rooms are very spacious and they well cleaned up, their bed is very comfortable and warm, nice and beautiful swimming pool and bar at the roof top. The staff at the Bar are very sweet and professional

Room - Suite 3 (deluxe) is spacious and private, and opens onto a peaceful courtyard and pool. Breakfast - excellent buffet offering more than enough to fill up before heading out for the day. Service - we had exceptional service from Gina and Thulani. Friendly and always eager to please.

The rooms were well prepared, and the breakfast was the best ever. We enjoyed the pool as well late in the evenings

The staff members are extremely polite and kind. The property is immaculate and smells fresh. The food was made fresh as you wait and everything was tasty. We received more than what we paid for. The WiFi was great and I will go back again. Walkable distance to the vibey Mhlanga and safe too. The area is very quiet and safe.

Facilities are great. Nice big accommodation, spacious and clean. Rooms we had were large and very comfortable. Staff are very organised, friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast served. Close to village centre, shops, restaurants and beaches. Most enjoyable stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were very nice, spotless, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the poolside team – the guys at the pool service were truly exceptional! Friendly, attentive, and made relaxing by the pool an absolute pleasure. Breakfast was also fantastic – great selection and quality, with lovely service.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! We received a glass of champagne at check in. It was our anniversary and the hotel sent us a platter of cake, and snacks and a bottle of champagne. So delicious! The hotel is beautifully appointed. Pool area fabulous, pool is heated. Loved the loungers by the pool, and the private access to the beach. Breakfast was great! The staff are well trained, friendly and competent.

The staff are amazing. They are friendly, aim to please, efficient and service is always with a smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable although cupboard space is extremely limited for 2 people who stay for more than a weekend. The pool area has always been and still is lovely. The view, the service, the comfort, the pool temperature is all wonderful. Breakfast is good and the meals I ordered were all good. The 5 oçlock drinks are a very nice touch.

This is an excellent classic hotel with old school charm. The staff were super friendly and helpful and I felt at home here. The outdoor heated swimming pool is excellent. My room had a view over the pool and the beach and a balcony for enjoying an evening drink.

The place is just like the pictures and I love that when I get there it's a true reflection of what they advertise. Please is real nice and it has a small mall nearby with a Spar ...Cane Cutters..and many other outlets. The bath 🛀 tub is amazing if you love long bubble baths. It very quite and peaceful ..I would book there again...the pool is just a crystal clear as the picture. The staff at this hotel make it what it is. They are all lovely, friendly, efficient and made our stay fantastic. If I return I will stay at this hotel as the team are wonderful. The balcony doors in our room could do with replacement but otherwise the room was great. Pool towels could also be near the pool making it easier for guests.

Check-in was effortless with porters standing by to aid you in handling your luggage. The restaurant menu was comprehensive, the service prompt and courteous, and the food delicious. I had the line-fish and it was cooked perfectly. The buffet breakfast in the morning was enormous. Because we had only one night, we were unable to take advantage of the resorts pool and grounds. The hotel sits right on the ocean.

The hotel rooms are modern with wonderful views of the ocean, they also have a great pool area with nice greens and monkeys that drop in to pick up snacks which is fun. The free hotel breakfast is one of the top ones I’ve had in a while, creative menu with excellent service from the team. The whole team is just awesome.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel with a great pool, restaurant and bar. Situated on the beach and connected to a Mall and Casino. Plenty of restaurants near by.

The breakfast was nice and we also liked pool Easy excess to nearby restaurants and entertainment area.

The Garden court was great, we got a lovely room with an ocean view. The beds were comfy and the breakfast ample and delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is heated and an additional source of fun and relaxation. The gym is functional and caters to all the workout necessities. We had an exceptional stay and would definitely visit again.

We had a memorable stay at Ammazulu Palace and highly recommend visiting as its a once in a lifetime unique experience. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. The inside of the palace is amazing. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful, with amazing views. Thank you for taking great care of my sister and I.

The design of the hotel is incredible, from the colourful interior to the great views of the gorge from the balcony. Alta was friendly and helpful at check-in, room was large, clean and comfortable. I've stayed in many hotels, but none quite like this one, it's an amazing place.

EXCELLENT hotel. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which had amazing views into Kloof Gorge. Very spacious room with very large veranda/balcony and comfortable bed. Our hostess, Alta, was very sweet, nice, and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

The breakfast was very tasty and the service was great. The table layout also encouraged us to socialise with the other guests which was fun. The room (presidential suite) was spacious and clean and the bed was most comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching and listening to nature.

What a lovely stay. Thanks for the upgraded room! All very spacious and clean. Swimming towels were provided so we could have a dip in the pool. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was - couldn't hear traffic at all. We will come again! And stay for breakfast the next time! 😋

The staff were super friendly and the rooms were big. The views from the garden were incredible and the pool was nice and clean and refreshing on a hot day. Breakfast was good and Happy tried his best to accommodate all of my needs. It was nice to have a stocked fridge full of drinks available as it saved the effort of having to go to the shops. The bed was very comfortable and once I did eventually manage to fall asleep I slept reasonably well.

Rooms and hotel in general were clean. Staff friendly and helpful. The pool area and gym were not up to standard. When you get to the pool there is no one to asisst, no pool towels etc. The gym has been under renovation since my last stay 2 years ago. So I feel it should not be included in the facilities as it is not operational.

The tranquility of the place, was so amazing, loved it so much, the staff so friendly and gave us a warm welcome as if they know us from before, The breakfast fresh, delicious and so much variety even the restaurant we had the breakfast was just calming, we got a room upgrade, so we were overly excited, we also loved the idea of parking close to our room as we were at the 9th floor what a pleasant consideration - we are planning to come back next time. we loved that we are close to the beach and a lot of other activities but hotel is away from all the hectic surroundings so when you sleep its beautifully peaceful.

The staff was extremely amazing, I had an issue switching on my rooms air-conditioning system and I made a call, the meticulous time the staff member spent guiding me was exceptional, it is a shame I did not get the gentleman's name but he was so remarkable and the attention to detail and his demure and capability to assist me was truly remarkable. The room was exceptionally spacious and I was blessed to have a sea view allowing for beautiful morning to marvel at the sea in the comfort of an amazingly spacious, clean room. Thank you for my stay it was exceptional and I cannot wait to return again...

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious, just as it appears on the pictures. They upgraded my room to a sea facing one, the views were magnificent. It’s close to Gateway mall. We had dinner at their restaurant, they have a buffet, but we opted for ala carte menu, their lamb chops were nicely done, medium to well. 👌🏾

The room was exceptional since I got an early birthday upgrade. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends if they come to Durbs. The breakfast buffet was delicious and worth the money (all you can eat kinda vibes). Last but not least, Lungi @ reception was great and super welcoming/helpful.

A very nice hotel after a long journey. I was hoping there would be an indoor pool and hot tub, but there was not. We had the buffet breakfast in the morning, it was outstanding.

The cleanliness was amazing. The rooms have the right colours to make it feel airy, spacious and not gloomy. The bathroom is excellent. The staff were the best 👌. Really amazing hospitality and service. They greeted me every morning and evening, by name, at reception. The pool area is so relaxing and chilled with waiters at your service. Excellent excellent place to stay at.

They have the most exquisite views and exotic rooms. The pool is massive and can accommodate alot of people. I also loved that it's close to the beach, if your a surfer or enjoy walking at night at the beach or just enjoying watching the view and appreciating nature this is the place for you.

Everything. Their breakfast has so many varieties to choose from. And food is absolutely delicious. Dinner is also delicious with the best presentation I've ever seen, even for the kids food.. something I've never ever came across. Their pool is also heated. The hotel itself smells very nice too.

It's very nice hotel not far from beach, 24 hours of services well kept garden and swimming pool as well. The fatest wifi i have ever see,caring staff that make me feels confortable. Clean room and free two bottles of water everyday. Gym is also there.

It was my first time seeing the place , i was amazed at everything. It was peaceful , everything felt like it was yours. You could move to the lounge , balcony or swimmg pool area. The breakfast was good. The stuff was very friendly. I had a lovely stay.

We did enjoy our stay. The staff were very nice and friendly. The lodge was quiet, the room was very clean and welcoming. It's a lovely place with a small garden and pool and the rate offered was extremely good for us pensioners. We were there for one night only.

A very good bed and breakfast, with exceptionally friendly staff, who always went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable. The room was always in a neat state, and with more-than-sufficient facilities, such as free WiFi, air conditioning, and cable TV, it was a comfortable and enjoyable living space. The extra touches such as the note and chocolate left daily on the bedside table by the cleaning staff, further added to the feeling that you are important and cared for. There was also a charming shared living room adjacent to the guest rooms, with couches, air conditioning and a flat screen TV, that made for a lovely place to relax and watch TV or perhaps read a book. Location was also very convenient, being close to Florida Road (a strip of restaurants, with some fast food delivery stores as well; helpful for organising lunch or dinner if you're having a lazy day, and the guard will even escort the delivery man to your door) and only 5km from uShaka Marine World, and even less to the beach front. Overall, a very comfortable stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel as well-priced and well-placed.

The building is a lovely old Durban home with a welcoming entrance. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. My room was spacious, had everything I needed, wifi was free and the bed was enormous - however the shower was in the room (I've never seen that before) and the room smelled slightly damp. The hotel, although relatively newly decorated, had some areas that could have been decorated to a higher standard and there were small areas that could do with a little bit more maintenance. The breakfast was delicious and it was no problem for them to let me select items from different set breakfasts to put together something I really felt like eating. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. For me, the positives far outweighed the negatives and I would definitely stay at the St James again.

The guest house is great with an old but welcoming feel to the reception. The rooms however, are very modern, spacious and luxurious. My only criticism of the rooms is that the wash basin is in the room instead of inside a conventional bathroom. There is a flat screen TV in the rooms with ample channels for viewing pleasure. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I looked at the menu in the guest house restaurant (The Fig Leaf) and was shocked at the high prices for the food on the menu. The menu is also limited and it is important to note that the guest house is strictly Halaal, so if you enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal, this is not the place to dine. Overall, the room was comfortable and my stay was a pleasant one.

Apart from the mix up with my reservation, I found the hotel staff very professional and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortalble and reasonably spacious. The hotel is located a walking distance from the beach area and in a quiet suburb of Durban.

The staff was amazing, very professional and efficient by giving options that will suit my being comfortable in the room. The room I stayed in exceeded my expectations considering that it was a last minute booking but they accomodated me no questions asked. The room was amazing bed extremely comfortable. All in all my stay was great, a really beautiful getaway from everything makes you feel home cause it literally feels like you away from everything, I can't wait to visit again.

Nice housing and very friendly owner and cleaning lady! Neighbourhood felt secure and the housing had a safe parking. Wifi was very good. About a 5-10 min drive to closest mall and Whale bone pier. Pool was good, but could have a bit more chairs.

We chose the cheapest room option (Room 3 probably their smallest) which will reflect on our review. Having said that we thought it was great value. The whole team from the owners through to the gardener, were friendly and helpful and made our holiday a joy. The pool was kept in a very condition, it was almost situated by our door and we used it daily. The room was well equipped, with a comfortable bed and very effective air-con.

Perfect location. 2 min drive to Central Umhlanga so you have the convenience of shops and the beach close by. The area was quiet and safe. Secure parking on the premises. The unit well equipped, clean, spacious and yet cozy. Comfortable bed.

The hotel is at the central of the city with gateway and restaurants a walking distance. I was upgraded from executive king suite to a 2 bed apartment which was a great gesture. The buffet breakfast was amazing and tasty. Parking is secured at the basement.

What an exceptional experience we had. Friendly and welcoming staff, from the security personnel you feel warmth all the way to reception and restaurant staff. Even if you meet fhe staff in the corridor they ask you how you feel today, that was very good. The food exceptional, we really enjoyed the meals. The most comfortable bed that was a struggle to even leave it. Housekeeping took care of us very well. Saturday we were lazy to get up because of the bed so we asked we skip the cleaning and they took it well. We are definitely coming back, soon. Thank you.

Breakfast has hot and cold options however it was basically the same items for the 5 days so we were tired of it by the 3rd day. Did the friday happy hour at the bar it is 50% off drinks excluding cocktails the live music a singer who was ok. Room although small has all you need and was clean. There is a popular spot next door I didn't go but the parking area was always full because of their patrons so thats night time entertainment at your door step.

The apartment was extremely spacious and clean. Breakfast was splendid and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again

What a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. Great location with free secure parking. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming especially Malusi the reception manager...what a fantastic host who went out of his way and made me smile from the moment I walked in. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are also huge by standards. It's not over the top in terms of decor but everything is spotlessly clean and the rooms are serviced every day. The bed was large and comfortable and I would definitely stay there again. It also brought back fond memories of the Hotel California it replaced with the much frequented Bonkers Bar downstairs which I was a regular patron of in the early 90s.

But what really made my stay stand out was the hotel's convenient location. I was within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and stores, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or pick up anything I needed. The combination of comfortable accommodations, amenities, and location made for a truly enjoyable stay. Friendly, helpful, from receptionist to cleaning lady. CLEAN spacious rooms. I found the bed to be a little hard, but most probably due to me being used to my own bed. Other than that, I could not find any fault at all. I run a guest house in East-London and therefor know what to look for when away from home. Close to all restaurants and bars, malls. I would most certainly visit you guys again. Had a wonderful stay, thank you.

I must say everything was well organized and communicated as to where will the breakfast be served and at what particular time. The staff was effective and professional above all super friendly. My daughter celebrated her birthday while staying at the hotel and the birthday staff made her day special by singing to her and giving her cake.

This site is incredible. It's distant from town, so there isn't much noise. The beach is quite clean and serene. The personnel were extremely kind and inviting. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a great shower. It's actually wonderful that they had a balcony with a view of the beach, as we didn't get a room with one.

Everything about this hotel and stay was amazing!! I loved the amazing views and delicious breakfast. The staff are an added bonus , all so attentive and friendly. I cannot fault anything about my stay.

Vegan breakfast was delicious. The cocktails at the bar were great value. Owners and staff super lovely and helpful; were great at checking everything was going well, and I really appreciated the lamp during loadshedding. And that the wifi stayed on! The restaurant was so beautiful and peaceful; a really beautiful decorating job has been done there.

The restaurant "Neighbour Cafe" serves excellent food & the coffee shop "Gatvol" is exceptional. The room is spacious for 3 people, with a kitchette - making it perfect! It was a rainy weekend, we didnt mind sitting/sleeping in. Comfortable beds. The location is quiet . Will easily stay here again.

The staff including security were friendly and always willing to help . The breakfast was delicious and there was enough to choose from as I dont eat pork.

Amazing stay at the Oyster Box Hotel. Service and attention to detail was great. Food was delicious (especially the curry buffet and breakfast buffet). The staff are all so friendly and can't do enough for you. We were unable to get a massage at the spa as they were fully booked, however, they still allowed us to use all of the facilities which are great. The plunge pool at our apartment stayed relatively warm even after the sun went down, so we were able to stay in the water and enjoy a nice bottle of wine. When the sun is shining the main pool is a great place to relax, with a view of the famous lighthouse and sea. Would love to stay again.

We had an excellent stay. All our requests were accommodated. Mini kitchen was fully stocked with fresh fruit, waters & yogurt. The walk to the beach & back was easy to access. We were given a room with a sea view which we loved. Dipping in the slash pool afterwards to cool off was very pleasant.

I liked how close it is to the beach, how accommodating the hosts were. They were the perfect hosts, I'd definitely come back again and again. Their property also offers many facilities including a braai area, a pool and more. I loved my stay.

Ina and her team run an exceptional guesthouse. Visited for a few nights and felt very well supported and comfortable. The value of such high standard accommodation was amazing - other reviews mentioned this but only believed it when I visited. Fresh coffee in the morning, the self-service but good quality breakfast in the in-room kitchenette. Ina herself was kind & hospitable. Even after many years of meeting guests.

The house was kept clean throughout our stay, the location was excellent because we could walk to the beach, the breakfast was amazing.and the beds were very comfortable. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. What you see on the website is what you get.

We stayed in 3 separate locations in Durban with a similar cost over a two week period and this was our favourite. It was very clean (unlike the other 2 locations, we didn't see a single cockroach!!), the property had secure off road parking with a gate that was operated by staff, and crockery provided for breakfast. There was easy access by car to central Durban and a short walk on foot to the Botanic Gardens. The staff were helpful in advising us where/where not to walk and at what times it was safe to walk. Our room had a nice view of Durban and the sea in the distance. We will definately consider staying at this hotel again.

It had various options to choose from. I loved everything about the breakfast, as it catered for a variety of persons! The staff, Nosipho in particular, was very kind and always at hand to offer help when needed. I love the location of this hotel. It is literally right at the beach - less than 3 minutes walk. I am not kidding!

We absolutely loved our room! The pool was clean and even though it was very cold, we swam in it on both days that we were there. We had a lovely room with a fold out for our son. Breakfast was good and service by Nicholas supurb! We had laundry done while we were there, which was helpful. The pool was clean and surrounded by beautiful garden. I'm sensitive to scents and had to hide the air fresheners. There are guard dogs in the back that bark occasionally. It felt very safe and welcoming.

This is a great guesthouse - owned and run by a lovely couple. The owners were really helpful in providing a map of the area and recommendations of local restaurants to eat at. The breakfast - which was included - was delicious and served on a patio next to a sparkling pool. The towels were grey and could do with replacing. Also thought it was a little strange not to have a door between the bathroom and kitchenette area (which was in an alcove between the bedroom and bathroom). Nonetheless - I would stay here again.

My wife and I were there for 1 night. The hotel location is great, very close to the beach. The room was spacious and well equiped. The bed was quite hard though. Nice garden and pool. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice.

This is truly one of the best B@B we have ever stayed in. The place was beautiful and wonderfully kept. Stunning comfortable rooms, comfortable beds to die for. White linen on beds, roomy rooms and everything you needed in one place. Pool was so inviting and sunbeds to lie on what more could you want for a lovely weekend in Durban area. Taxis (very cheap) take you anywhere if you do not have a car or do not want to drive. Your can walk to the beach which is very long and sandy. Wish we had booked for longer. Thankyou Heidi and your lovely team.

Really enjoyed our stay here, owner and staff were very welcoming. Our room opened up to the pool and we definitely enjoyed that. We didn’t have a vehicle and not many restaurants within walking distance but the one we went to was good. Owner suggested removing expensive jewelry before wandering around various markets and we appreciated her advice. Would definitely stay there again

Friendly staff, warm welcome with welcome message. Room very neat and tidy! Breakfast was exceptional, called by name when I entered and made me feel special. Breakfast was delicious and served warm. Love the homely atmosphere.

The room was spacious. Lovely bathroom with a bath and shower so I could soak my weary back in the bath. Lovely breakfast. Close to amenities and some restaurants. Vanesh was very pleasant and friendly.

Was absolutely beautiful breathtaking both the rooms we had the suite and 2 bedroom flat with balcony mom actually wanted to move in everything you needed was there coffee tea milk was a great stay hosts was fantastic fresh water we will definitely be back!!!! Ac was amazing loved the place honestly its beautiful thanks so much you was absolutely fantastic on our situation with cancellation on one room due to changes we thank you for that

I had a wonderful stay. The staff and owner were extremely polite and welcoming. I felt quite comfortable and at home. This place is very clean, well kept and cosy. I would highly recommend a stay for several nights.

The pool was amazing and the WiFi around the guesthouse was great. The staff went above and beyond for special requests.

I stayed here for 3 nights and from the moment Hilary personally welcomed me with a smile the whole experience was wonderful. Every detail was attended to, and every member of the staff was cheerful and attentive. They even made me exactly the breakfast I requested, though it wasn't on the menu. (Poached smoked haddock, fried eggs and tomatoes - - - delicious!) My room was spacious, comfortable and had every convenience, including a monkey who came in through a window I had left open too wide.

Faith and Lesley were absolutely amazing 👏 Faith is an amazing lady and gave me such a warm welcome 🙏 Faith made me feel at home and she has such a beautiful and kind personality made me feel so welcome. I had the most amazing breakfast by Faith I'm really fussy on what I eat she made me a nice egg white omelette. Lesley the manager was so accomadating I can't wait to go back and value for money. Staying at Quarters Hotel was truly exceptional. The boutique hotel has a great old/colonial feel to it; with all facilities being super-modern as well. Aside from the amazing luxury, comfort, and the incredible location of being a couple minutes away from Coffee Shops , Cafés, and great restaurants—- it was actually the staff and managers on duty who made my stay truly special; they always went above and beyond! Would definitely come back here again, and soon!

The breakfast was excellent, made to my liking and with fresh ingredients. The waiters are kind. The room is nice and clean. Duly air conditioned. The staff is kind and helpful. The cleaning lady even looked for me to give me items I forgot from the room. Most importantly, the hotel is situated next to some cool places including restaurants.

Fantastic hosts. Professional and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely, spacious rooms. Ideal base for anyone running the Comrades in between wonderful shopping and laid back seaside location (so having a car helps)

Lovely four star B&B in Umhlanga, the managers Sheila and Alan were more than accommodating for the duration of our stay. The breakfasts are excellent, continental buffet followed by your choice of cooked option. The B&B is very secure in a nice area, only 10mins walk from the huge Gateway shopping complex, and 15mins walk from Umhlanga waterfront and restaurants. Worth a visit, you definitely get your money's worth!

The service was excellent and we were so comfortable. We had a happy stay and will tell others about this great B and B. We just struggled to find out how to use the overhead fan but did finally work out that it had a remote!! The B and B is well positioned and near the beach and resturantes so it was a lovely place for us to stay.

Hotel was outstanding, good accommodation, pool area, food area and staff very well aware of needs and well aware of customer needs.

The hotel overall was really great. The kids holiday club was impressive and the childminders were safety-diligent and fun for the kids. The pool area was beautiful- lots of space and a glass fence for additional safety. The hotel itself is shiny and new. Our suite was spacious, modern, comfortable and great value. I have to say I was very unimpressed with the service though. The reception staff were good but the rest of the staff... very poor. Tea arrived at breakfast long after we were finished. The pool was under staffed. Old room service plates stayed outside the room door for over 24 hours ( even after 3 calls to alert them to collect) (etc.) All a pity as the facilities are amazing. Would we stay again? We would actually. Because the good really outweighs the bad. But I want to ask that the Capital Pearls really re-think their staffing strategy so that it elevates their hotel to where it can be! It’s has all the potential for the perfect holiday spot. Looking forward to returning and being pleasently surprised!
