The location was great. We loved Montezuma. The hotel was clean and it was so nice to have the infinity pool just steps away from our place. The host was welcoming. No complaints.

Casitas Sollevante exceeded our expectations. The location was even more beautiful in person, there were two pools, one zero depth entry and one deeper infinity pool. The flowering plants next to the pool smelled amazing. There was a very thorough cleaning service each day which was especially nice since you could not flush toilet paper, which is common in CR, and because the floors got a little sandy from our trips to the beach. They would even wash any dishes we didn't get to. There was also an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand which was very useful. The indoor bathroom included local organic handsoap, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner that all smelled lovely. That was an unexpected plus. The onsite restaurant was excellent. The pool and the extraordinary view were really the highlights for us.

Lovely and quiet, away from the main town, just a short drive away. Wonderful views. Lovely pools and pool towels are provided. Comfortable bed. I loved the outdoor shower.

Lovely pool area, well maintained and clean! Not too busy either, property only has a small number of rooms so maybe why. Amazing views too, worth getting up early for sunrise. Restaurant was great! We had dinner and breakfast here and it was amazing. Only a small team but fab customer service, highly recommend!

Best accommodation of my trip through Costa Rica! The view and pools were stunning, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Although I read some reviews about the road to the hotel being difficult, it was no problem at all, even after big storms. The staff was friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend this place - it is the ideal spot to relax after hiking/beach days

The gardens were lovely and the pools very nice.the restaurant was good and the breakfast was also good. The rooms are nicely laid out in the grounds. Air-conditioning and fans keep the room cool. Pool towels were fresh and useful. Live music on Fridays is a nice idea and adds atmosphere. The pool lit up at night looks beautiful. We saw iguanas and birds in the grounds. The pool table and bar area was also nice.

The hotel is beautiful. There are 2 pools on the property, 1 that is more of a lap type pool and the other is a bigger pool with more space to sit around it. The rooms are nice and clean and each room has its own porch on the front so you can sit outside in front of your room. There are bug nets too you can untie and put down which is nice. The hotel is down the road from lots of cafes, restaurants, stores, farmers market (Friday's), etc.

The gardens are very pretty and the hotel has a nice large pool. The hotel personnel are very friendly. They prepared a take-away breakfast as we left on a tour prior to breakfast, switch out pool towels for dry ones and have a slightly later check out at noon. Breakfast was nice. Its a short 20minute walk to the Dominical beach.

I love this place. 😍 The restaurant/bar is fab. The gardens are magnificent. My room was perfectly nice, and the bathroom was large. There's also a little terrace for chilling outside, in privacy. The pool area is wonderful, and a second pool for exercise is very useful. It's also in a great location - next to the river, and a short, flat drive to Dominical. Absolutely loved it, and will definitely stay longer next time. 🤩

Distance from the town center is nice as you aren't in the hustle and bustle all day. View from the balcony is great as it overlooks the trees/beach. Infinity pool and swim-up bar are very nice. Breakfast was good but not great, staff was very pleasant.

Great view! The infinity pool is a great spot to relax, and the wet bar makes nice drinks. Access to the Langosta Beach Club was a nice bonus and also great spot to spend some time. The shuttle into Tamarindo was very helpful, we used it several times a day.

Breakfast is very good. Bed very comfortable. Free hourly shuttle to Tamarindo or the beach club excellent. Once the infinity pool and swim up bar are reopened that will be a great asset!

Ocean view, infinity pool, good (but expensive) restaurant. Another plus is access to Langosta Beach Club.

Decor sets the hotel apart from others, and loved the staff so much - Geroline, David, Frank -- all so warm and friendly and helpful with recs. Toucans and wildlife abound on the property too: When we arrived they had just alerted nearby Jaguar Rescue Center about an abandoned baby sloth, which they pointed out to us. Can't wait to return!!

The location was superb. Private, quiet, and beautiful. Really enjoyed the two pool options, as well. Loved the attention to detail with the daily amazing chocolates and espresso machines in the room. The rooms were lovely and crisp white which was refreshing with all the lush green outside, and the staff was so friendly. Had no idea the beach was so close and wow it was so quiet! Plus, looking out at the views every day over a yummy breakfast and fresh fruit was just wonderful. Would definitely come back and recommend.

The hotel is one of the nicest in the area. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the setting of the jungle is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Gigi’s restaurant has a really good menu and the food is tasty and high quality. The hotel has several pools and a beach club that is a perfectly chilled out place to relax so there is something for everyone. I would highly recommend.

Everything was great. The location is beautiful on the beach and only few minutes from the town center, there are different restaurants from walking distance. The staff was nice and very helpful, the rooms always clean. There are 3 pool including one facing the beach, it’s a very relaxing and boutique beach resort like environment. They offer a lot of free activities with awesome instructors. I loved doing the yoga classes and aquagym, but also discovering aerial yoga/gym. There plenty of sloths within the hotel precincts which makes the experience even more magical.

What a great little hotel with a fab view and lovely pool area (lots of birds flying by). If you have a spare day on your trip, this would be a great place to relax by the pool. We only stayed one night, but could easily have spent 2 here. Great restaurant and staff were super helpful & friendly.

Very nice pool. It has a kid pool, too, so it's perfect for small children. There are also extra pools in different locations. Nice drinks and breakfast (buffet). The room had a comfy king-size bed and a little terrace with chairs and swing to chill outside. Great beachfront location (just need to cross a road).

We had a family room which was perfect for us on the inside. What they don’t tell you is that it’s right next to the road, which is also where the party is. Fortunately about 9:30 it goes from pretty loud to pretty quiet. Small pool right outside the door (we didn’t even bother with the main pool). Location is in the heart of the action in this little strip with places to eat (Tasty Waves Cantina is our fav), trinkets to buy, and the beach all right there. Secure parking. Breakfast was quality with options everyone could find something they liked.

We enjoyed out family stay at Cariblue Beach & Jungle resort for a couple of reasons: The food was great, and the restaurant staff super friendly. Our daughter loved the nice pool that’s always open & the hotel grounds with lots of animals. What we enjoyed less was the activities that were canceled on the day they were supposed to take place (yoga class, dj set, dolphin trip) and the lack of pool towels available while we were there. The location of the hotel is still very convenient, a little outside of Puerto Viejo and with the beach out front.

Monkeys and sloths on property and beautiful gardens. However, Jacuzzi was cold. Pool was freezing. Service was slow for check in, pool bar and restaurant. Food was mediocre, small portions and very expensive. If we came to the area again, we would try a different hotel. We stayed in a bungalow, and there was a weird smell. It was either due to the wet ground (swampy smell) or sewage overflow. We couldn’t quite place it.

We ended our 2-week trip there and we could not have expected a better ending. Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The view of the jungle and the ocean were truly amazing. Very interesting and delicious vegan dishes, great electronic lounge music and overall private and relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly staff (including the owner). The hot tub and pool area was as well incredible with comfortable sunbeds. We would love to come back!

We really loved the view from the jacuzzi and the pool. The bungalow with the garden view was amazing, and we had total privacy. The whole resort is in the jungle, so you can hear and see many birds around. Vegan cuisine was delicious—we can recommend avocado toast for breakfast. Our stay here was wonderful and we really enjoyed every single moment there.

The jungle vibe is the first thing you are struck by…secondly comes the impressive view of thej jungle hill side and ocean/whale tail beach at Ballena NP. Absolutely gorgeous. The resort is built with extreme care for details and everything is beautifully crafted. Pool area is nicely integrated into jungle and very refreshing. We stayed in a Bali-styled house. Extremely luxurious and lovely details. The outdoor shower with view to the ocean and jungle were especially nice

This hotel has a great Location (close to the airport). Our family with three kids liked a delicious breakfast . the staff is very helpful and pleasant! I loved the restaurant there, it works until 10 pm., we had there our first dinner in Costa Rica. The hotel is very clean and spacious. They have a pool, gym , even library! I strongly recommend Adventure Inn hotel!

Great place to the proximity of the international airport. Lovely big room, great pool and jacuzzi, fantastic breakfast with great choices of fresh fruit, very friendly staff and free shuttle to/from the airport. We had our dinner at the hotel restaurant which was delicious

1) Very helpful and kind staff. They even let me borrow an umbrella for the day. 2) I also liked that the airport taxi was included. 3) There is a commercial area about an 8-10 minute walk away, which is very convenient. There's a Fresh Market grocery store there, as well as some restaurants/bars. 4) The room was large and spacious. 5) WiFi worked well in my room and the common areas, including the pool.

We stayed one night after a long haul flight. Everything was great. Staff were helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean, we had a good meal in the restaurant in the evening and the breakfast was very good. It was nice to have the pool. We paid cash (cashpoint is 5 min walk) and got a discount.

The property is stunning and very well maintained. The pool area is beautiful and there is lots of green everywhere. The property is indeed close to the beach and we really liked the options around. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. We also really liked the restaurant of the property. They offer great options for breakfast and dinner. Pro tip: there is a good local restaurant in front of the property and the food is very good and the cost is a fraction compared to bigger restaurants in the area.

Everything was perfect!! The website and photos don’t do it justice. Rooms were gorgeous and perfect, food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, pool was the perfect temp. Ocean was a quick walk down the road, the surf club staff were fun and hands on with my kids. 10/10!! We will be back!!

wow, stay here! it’s beautiful and clean, the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond. they offer some 5 star service perks while still keeping the vibe laid back and relaxed. the pool is big enough that you can relax quietly on a sun lounger ever when it’s busy. the restaurant is good and the rooms are soundproof. as a solo female I felt very safe and comfortable. Will absolutely be staying here again, can’t say enough good things.

The ……,. Resort at Jaco beach was right at the beach and we witnessed the most beautiful sunset that evening. The all inclusive dinner meal was delicious and they prepared a special pasta dish to suit our preference for vegetarian food. The pools were clean and the outdoor showers near the beach too. The pool table and ping pong table were a nice addition which our group loved. Overall a good stay.

I was able to relax and to take it easy, which was my objective. The people are friendly, the pool area is nice and the access to the beach is convenient. It's good to have coffee, drinks, food all the time within easy reach. The food is fine, it's not a gourmet buffet, but it is tasty and varied. It's located right in front of the bus terminal, and on the lively High Street.

In general everything was very good, the room was clean and comfortable the restaurant had a great variety of food, the pool area was clean and all of the staff polite and very helpful.

The pools were lovely! Perfect temperature which I’ve never had before - it’s always too cold or warm. The staff were very attentive and the room was a good size with nice hot showers. Bar staff should also be commended for their cocktails! Buffet was ok, always a variation and well stocked. Some days better than others for options that weren’t bland or lukewarm.

The location was second to none with stunning views overlooking the sea and the national park. The staff were lovely, especially Michael in the restaurant. The pool area's were adequate with infinity pool's but the sunbeds were grubby & uncomfortable. Most days the table's by the sunbeds had not been cleaned. The room was very spacious but very bland. There was sufficient room for 2 chairs in the room but only 1 available. General cleanliness of the room was quite poor. There is a national park attached to the hotel which offers free entry for Hotel quests, what they don't think to mention is that the area is tidal. We went for a walk but the time came in whilst we were out and had to return in thigh High water. Not a great experience! Was also disappointed to have to pay $6 extra for a latte at breakfast when the room is over £400 per night

Unmatched views of unspoiled coastline including the Ostional beach where we saw turtles hatching. Restaurant setting was very soothing with excellent red snapper. Staff was very attentive and fast (albeit in very low season). The cocktails at sunset were unmatched. You could spend long hours in the infinity pools relaxing with the views. Enjoyed the choice of pool temperatures as well as the nice outdoor shower in our bedroom.

Massive rooms with a huge balcony overlooking the most gorgeous view! The pool(s) are perfect, with a sloped entrance that was perfect for our young son. Amazing wildlife, with the a reserve on your doorstep. Big and tasty breakfast and delicious pool-side drinks. Great.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Everything about the hotel was superb, the spacious room, pool area, staff. Hotel is a short drive to the amazing local beaches (although hotel offers complimentary beach shuttle) and lively restaurants and bars of Nosara but tucked away on the hillside in the peace & quiet. Unexpected wonderful wildlife around the pool - lizards, hawks, howler monkeys, racoon families. Highly recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our two night stay. The new restaurant menu is an upgrade to the old one. Keep the improved trend. Wait staff and front desk were very personable. One area to improve is the main pool needs a thorough cleaning. There was debris (not the normal leaves floating) at the bottom of the pool by the edge. A good vacuum will solve that issue. Overall a quality stay. We will be back.

From check in you are met with friendly staff. The resort is very clean and nice. Room was amazing with the walk up pool. Very quiet at the room. The restaurants on site were amazing and tasty. Pools on site are very nice. Walking the beach at sunrise and sunset is a must. The adventure park the hotel recommends is a must as well.

The Marriott Los Suenos is an amazing property! We were recognized as Marriott status members daily by the very attentive and professional staff. They made this vacation exceptional!! The rooms, pool, restaurants, and the swim up bar were all excellent. They also provide numerous pool floats and toys, and the kids club was amazing with lots of toys and activities to keep our kids happy! We will be going back!!

We had two enjoyable nights at the Marsala. The pool is an infinity edge pool with a swim up bar, the rooms are comfortable and well configured for a group of three, and the reasonably-priced restaurant serves the best food we've had during our entire two week stay in Costa Rica.

Hotel is on a hill just off the highway with views of the surrounding area including the pacific. Has a couple of swimming pools, one of which is an infinity pool with swim up bar. Plenty of sitting areas facing the ocean. Food was very good.

The location! Very close to beautiful Playa Esterillos, the hotel overlooks the Pacific with an infinity pool and it’s just gorgeous! The restaurant serves good food but was pricey. Good beach towels for the pool.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Breathtaking sea view pool, ideal to start and end our days. The bed was super comfortable and there were always fruits, tea and coffee available for us. Also the water was filtered which speared us from having to buy. The yoga deck is also a big plus for yoga lovers: sea view, hearing the sound of waves while you practice and seeing a monkey on the nearest tree. Magical!

Gem of a hotel, nestled in a small mountain, yet only 7 min walk to the sea. Beautiful pool. Free tea/coffee provided. The info binder with local info was super handy. Also the info about the oweners Jessie & Andre and how they selected Santa Teresa to settle down after years of leading a nomadic life added a personal touch without even meeting them in person. Very clean and comfortable beds. Overall, a fantastic place to spend a few peaceful days in the nature.

We loved our stay here!! We had a wonderful view of the ocean from our room as well as the pool! The bar staff was phenomenal and very friendly. Having a pool was fantastic after walking around the hot city and park. The location is perfect, right next to the entrance of the park. It’s very easy to get a ride if you’re looking to go elsewhere for dinner or shopping. The room was just what we needed for our stay , with a little kitchen and counter space in the bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again!

I had a good stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and attentive and answered all my questions. The room was a little dated but it did everything I needed it to, and the view from the balcony was incredible. The room has an interesting layout with two double beds - I think a sofa may have been more useful than a second double bed, but I was barely inside the room anyway. The lower pool was never very busy so no issues with access to sunbeds etc. There are some restaurants nearby but it's quite a quiet area once the park closes and most restaurants are more or less closed by 9pm.

This was a last minute booking due to our original hotel canceled on us. I wasn't expecting much. Looked way too modern and so not Costa Rican. Boy was I wrong. Yes it doesn't look like one would expect but knowing the culture there now, this place makes sense. A very environmentally conscious country, this is made of upcycled shipping containers. The staff was so helpful. The breakfast was great. And the location. Steps away from the jungle. View of the ocean from the rooms, pool and restaurant.

The location next to Manuel Antonio national park was exceptional. We only stayed one night, but were able to leave our car in the carpark whilst we accessed the park the next day, which was most welcome. The pools were gorgeous and views amazing. We enjoyed watching the monkeys climb over everyone's balconies in the morning!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Aside from the fact that the view is amazing, the whole resort is modern and beautifully designed. The hand selected staff are personable, talented and made our stay special. We loved that Rancho Pacifico is quiet, private, and permitted us to experience living in a two-story home located in the middle of the jungle with our own pool, patio and no else around.

Three rugged miles from beach. Hotel transportation available but pricey. Activities at hotel limited to pool and hiking. Staff are very nice and helpful. Dinner menu could be simpler with fresh fish and veggies. Fruit and salad on request were outstanding.

We live in San Jose and have been hearing about about RP for years as the perfect getaway for a busy couple to escape for a much needed break. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty - and never left the property for the couple of days we were there. There really was no need to. All of the meals - especially the special private dinner we had at poolside - were extraordinary. It was peaceful, dramatic and unlike any other hotel we've ever visited.....we think the best in Costa Rica.

If you are looking for breathtaking jungle mountain views with the ocean shimmering in the distance while you're being pampered in the lap of luxury, then this is your place. My husband and I spent 10 days here on our long overdue honeymoon (after 15 years of marriage), and we loved every minute. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and beyond accommodating. Our villa was absolutely beautiful, while still modern, and was cleaned twice a day while we were out on adventures or at dinner. Our villa's private plunge pool and wooden deck were perfect for just soaking in the incredibly scenery, watching Toucans in the trees, and listening to the howler monkeys. The food is delicious, and we were spoiled every meal! There is SO much do in the surrounding area, which isn't super touristy. The resort works with the local guides to create your itinerary for your stay, and are always ready to organize transportation, or hand you towels or water on your way off to your next adventure. Please just do it! You will only regret not being able to stay longer.

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset from a viewing point on the property. Our dinner at the restaurant was delicious. We would recommend this resort to anyone. We hope to return someday!

You couldn’t get a more private and beautiful beach location. Its picture post card beautiful beach is just out of this world and honestly would be difficult to beat given it’s literally a 2 km private beach…max 10 people on at any one time! Pool was really nice and swim up bar a nice touch. Our kids enjoyed the smoothies and we enjoyed the cocktails! The hotel looks like something out of a Roger Moore based James Bond movie. Tonnes of charm and unbelievable setting.

Is only a few minutes away from all of the great restaurants and bars in the area, and the beach! Despite the terrible roads Laloon is definitely worth staying!

Best hotel we were in Costa Rica. Nestled on a small hill overlooking the beaches of Santa Theresa, it has the best views and unbeatable service. Breakfast was delicious, daily housekeeping, daily complimentary laundry service and not to mention they offer a full concierge that organizes your atv and pretty much anything else you need. The infinity pool and view is simply breathtaking to wake up to, we’ll be back every year.

This place is amazing! Where should I start? The suites are brand new and superbly decorated with an infinity edge pool on each balcony overlooking a beautiful view of the ocean from the hilltop. The sliding door stacked so that you could open the room up and feel like you were outside yet had the most modern and comfortable accommodations. You could even see the monkeys playing in the trees nearby from the balcony. The owners took great care to pamper you and make sure you were well taken care of. They would help with any questions that you had and even help with booking your excursions etc. Roni, one of the owners, cooked amazing, healthy breakfasts each morning which were delivered straight to the room. I can’t say enough of this place except , how soon can I return? if you are looking for an amazing place to stay, you won’t be let down here!

I highly recommend this property, we had a spacious, modern and super clean family apartment overlooking the jungle and often had monkeys come and visit our balcony! There are two beautiful pools and a great restaurant. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we appreciated the on-site parking (as there's a bit of hilly walking around the area so a car was really helpful to have). Nearby Biesanz beach was incredible. We would definitely stay again!

And lucky to see a sloth that was resident very close to the pool for a few days. 5 minute walk uphill to more restaurants, supermarket, bus stop. 10 minute walk steep downhill to the beach. Easy to get the bus down to the national park.

This was a lovely kitted out modern hotel. The room and facilities were really great. The design ensured the balconies faced the forest and there was always activity going with animals. The pools, lounge areas and restaurant were really good. Best breakfast of the holiday. Staff were fantastic and helpful. the hotel is on a steep hill so walking down was easy and we always managed to get a taxi or local bus back to avoid the walk uphill. There are good number of bars. restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs around. The beaches are stunning. The National Park is so busy but worth it. We had a guide.

Incredible first class attention from Arnoldo, all the staff and the chef. Rooms are spacious, new and clean, and the private pool is just excellent. The smaller size of the hotel allows you to receive an ad-personam treatment that it’s impossible to get even at the best hotel chains. Totally recommended!

This property was exceptional, the restaurant was amazing and catered really well for me as a vegetarian, the breakfast was superb. The Dinner menu was very good. we chose to do the coffee tour in the morning and it was fantastic, the guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the subject and we are laughing with our family that we are now experts. I would definitely recommend. The pool was beautiful and we managed an afternoon of relaxing before we head off on our tour. I would absolutely recommend a couple of nights after a long flight to set you up for a trip.

staff was so helpful. rooms were beautiful. the grounds of the hotel are fun to explore. my daughter loved the pool. the hotel is spread out enough that the guests aren't right on top of each other. it was really fun to drink coffee and eat their cookies at the 3pm cocktail hour. We stayed at this hotel the night before our 7am flight. It was the perfect choice.

Amazing coffee tour and tasting experience. We spent our first day in Costa Rica here and it was a great introduction. They were very accommodating to our early check in. Nice pool area. Delicious breakfast and as a bonus you could wander on the grounds and see where the ingredients came from! Real farm to table!

It was beautiful. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. It is easy to reach from the airport and would thoroughly recommend a night or two hear to recover from your flight. The staff were lovely, pool area very pretty and restaurant was good.

The Gaia Hotel and Reserve is a special place both in terms of concept and execution. The hotel itself is situated on a private reserve near Manuel Antonio. Beautiful views abound no matter where you look, be it the restaurant, bar, or your own room. There are frequently animals on the grounds, we were able to see iguanas, sloths, a toucan, and the macaws that the hotel is dedicated to raising and releasing back into the wild. The service is another standout feature of the hotel. The staff all are welcoming and always know important details including your room number and tours you have reserved through the hotel. Our concierge Jose made the trip feel special. Food and drinks are of high quality at the associated restaurant and bar. Included facilities include an infinity pool and lazy river which sometimes had animals nearby. My wife and I had an amazing time here, and highly recommend the place to any couples staying in Manuel Antonio.

Remarkable hillside pool perfect for watching the sunset. The property features a nature preserve and we saw many animals including a sloth and her baby climbing near the pool and a few iguanas and anteaters. The service and staff was exceptional and the food in the restaurant was the best we had in our whole trip.

We had an amazing stay at Gaia! The views, the pool, and the peaceful atmosphere were incredible. Juan Carlos our concierge was the absolute best he helped us with everything from booking our Manuel Antonio Park tour, sorting out dinner reservations, to even arranging cash when we needed it. He truly made our trip feel easy and special. Big thanks as well to Daniella, Stefani at the front desk and Ricardo in the restaurant all so kind and welcoming. The food was great, the rooms super comfy, and the scarlet macaw tour at the hotel was a highlight. We will come back in a heartbeat!

A stunning hotel located on the cliffs of Jaco. Our room was stunning and everything was really clean. Check in was easy and the staff were exceptional. The food at the restaurant was really good but expensive, but I guess you are paying for the view really. The infinity pool is stunning, made even more magical by the macaws that flew past twice! A wonderful hotel and would’ve loved to have stayed longer

We loved our stay here! Great place for families with young children because the pool is right by the rooms so you can sit at your table outside (or at the bar, or one of the sun beds...) and keep an eye on them. If kids aren't your thing there's also a second, more quiet pool. The rooms are new and sparkling clean, it's in a great location - very quiet with loads of birds and iguanas - and the staff are all very friendly. Good breakfast too. Las Brisas was above and beyond what we were expecting for the price!

we had a generously sized & comfortable room with a great shower, that opened onto the very attractive pool area and the breakfast/bar. for a small hotel it had every comfort required while still feeling intimate - and this was largely down to the staff who were just amazing - so helpful & friendly - from the owner through to the gardener and everyone in between. A great breakfast too. We would definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay on the central pacific coast as it’s in a quiet location but is easy to visit lots of other places.

Loved the friendly staff, the updated rooms were very clean, (even the sheets and towels were new) and there were 2 pools to choose from. The restaurant is open on the weekends and was delicious. The breakfast is awesome and is a nice big portion and it’s all cooked fresh too. Love it, they’re pet friendly and will come back with the kids next time too! They also helped us book tours and adventures and were so helpful!

Every member of staff was brilliant. The facilities were exceptional. From the gym and the pools to the beach club, it was all amazing. The room was well fitted out with a great view.

After staying at the Andaz in Maui and Lisbon, we were excited to stay at this location in Costa Rica. The property is beautiful, family friendly, and the staff are always happy to help. Shout out to the kids club team, coffee shop team and Jarrett at the pool bar for always welcoming us and asking how our stay is going. Those folks left an impact on us although the entire staff was stellar. They utilize WhatsApp, so, I recommend to US travelers to have that handy. The grounds are beautiful, have several pools, and direct beach access as well as a beach/beach club where Meso restaurant is located. You will need to take a shuttle to access. I recommend beach shoes for the beach. There is a weekly schedule of activities for a fee and a spa. My husband and I took the barista coffee class and ceviche class- both were great. The hotel clearly tries to be sustainable and use local products and minimize plastic use. These are huge and I am happy to see that they could implement these practices at a large resort like this.

This is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed in. It is like being in a treehouse! The room was amazing, the staff was so accommodating and kind, the facilities and grounds were gorgeous, the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed Chao Pescao and Meso. The complimentary shuttle which arrives every half hour at the lobby and offers rides to other hotels on the peninsula for dinners is so convenient. Even though the main beach area must be accessed by boat, it was never an issue because it was a super convenient and quick process. The boat goes back and forth about every 8-10 minutes throughout the day, so you are never waiting long. Bonus…the property provides towels and sunscreen and bug spray! We would definitely stay here again.

The location and hotel facilities are simply amazing! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a super relaxing yoga class with the most beautiful view with Yari ( I hope I am spelling right) who was fantastic. We wished we had stayed longer!

Our stay from check in through checkout was magical. The grounds are a botanical garden with birds everywhere, and spider monkeys greeted us as we arrived. You can sit in the pool and hear and see beauty all around. The owner and all the staff were so friendly. We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant - made with local ingredients. The boat tour they set up for us was a true highlight of our 17 day trip. We said 'wow so many times we lost count. We are so grateful we made the drive to get the real Canyo Negro experience - it was more than worth it.

The location is exceptional in terms of wildlife on the grounds and on the tour. We had a visit from a troop of monkeys and there were lots of small colourful birds. The staff were very good and helpful, and the 3 hour boat tour was perfect. The shower was also very nice. The pool was the best we've seen! Large, with a winding ramp to get in and built-in seating areas, with places in sun and shade. The bungalows have a nice porch for sitting.

Loved it , beautiful gardens, lovely restaurant, super boat trips, fantastic staff, great swimming pool, fantastic monkeys. Food really lovely they even made me a rice pudding which was yummy yummy.

Relaxed place in a nice setting. Small chalets in a well tended garden with a pool and monkeys in the trees. Fantastic for birding with tours on the river both in the early morning and in the afternoon. Many interesting spottings.

My husband and I loved everything about Tranquilo Lodge. The palapas were large and beautifully furnished with outdoor showers, a large deck with seating area/hammock, plenty of space/storage and a fridge. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked perfectly. The views of Drake Bay from the palapa, as well as the 2 pools and restaurant were spectacular. The grounds were beautiful with a peaceful and private layout. The owners/hosts Sebastian and Christophe were amazingly friendly, helpful, and just very fun and enjoyable to be around. They have taken their extensive knowledge and passion for service and cuisine and created a slice of heaven in Drake Bay...It is next level fabulous! They were always around and made sure we were spoiled and wanted for nothing. The other staff Christina and Michael were also lovely humans who made our stay very special. Lastly, the food! Christophe (former executive chef and successful catering business owner) and the resort chef have created an elevated and delicious menu using only the freshest local ingredients. The owners are from France so you will be treated to French cheeses, foie gras and wines as well. We were so sad to leave this place and hope to return someday!

Breakfast was good fresh bread, fruits and eggs different preparations with bacon and ham. Assorted cheese and meats. Yogurts and fresh coffee. Fresh squeezed morning juices.

Christophe & Sebastian & the entire staff (Christina!!!) were incredible! Helpful in every way possible. The hotel is remote, gorgeous, clean, intimate, & the food was 5 star. I'm vegan & they went above & beyond to make sure I had ample food options, & it was all delicious!

Views, tours, hospitality, amazing food and scenery- there was nothing not to love. Christophe and Sebastian are fabulous and we loved every moment of our stay!

Was looking for a comfortable, nice place near San Jose to burn a travel day. The intercontinental fit perfectly. The staff was attentive and friendly, food adequate, and convenient location next to the mall for any forgotten essentials. Bonus points for 24 hour pool and restaurant. Would stay again.

The fact that the hotel pool is open 24 hours was amazing. The hotel is incredibly safe and the staff were all amicable and worked hard to make sure that all of our stay was comfortable. The gym is fully outfitted with great equipment. The only problem was that when I checked in I was told that I didn’t pay for the breakfast and happy hour because I booked through Expedia. This mix up in communication didn’t break my trip too much. However, I would reconsider staying here in the future because the hotel is too pricey for no daily breakfast.

Hotel was close to Multiplaza Mall - within walking distance. Contains four restaurants on site with one open 24 hours, 24-hour room service and a full spa and hair salon/barber. Rooms are big with Byredo amenities. Full catering hotel service, staff are accommodating, helpful, and respectful. Hotel has an on-site atm, gift shop, and pool.

The staff was generally terrific and the location is beautiful with fantastic yoga shallahs, streams and lush vegetation running through the extensive grounds (with howler monkeys and iguanas and great birds) and a great infinity pool and juice bar.

I stayed with my 14 year old daughter and my mom at the Bodhi tree for a week. We all had a fantastic time! The rooms were comfortable and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the fans and air conditioning were great in the rooms. We did yoga, went surfing, and relaxed by the pool. All the food we had was delicious! We will definitely be back!

This place is amazing for solo traveler. You meet with amazing people: other expects, groups on retreats, and locals. There are so much to do: great place to work by the juice bar or in your cool casita, take a dip in the salt water pool, catch a wave and do a delicious yin class.

The property is gorgeous with lush, jungle surrounding the bungalows. Amazing pool and great juice bar. The yoga classes are top notch. Love the outdoor shower!

The area gives you many unique opportunities to enjoy wildlife, the beauty of the forrested, waterfall filled mountains, and the serenity of having the beaches to yourself. Had one of the staff explain some off the trees, animals and fruits that were on the property. Got some help when we accidentally left our chocolat souvenirs in the frigde. Liked the option of having an outdoor shower.

Beautiful room right next to the pool. We slept very well. The pool was very refreshing and our children enjoyed playing in the lush garden. We were pleasantly surprised about the quality of the breakfast, it was delicious! Very friendly staff. Super cute and well-behaved dog. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my teen daughter, and we both loved the place! It was in a beautiful, quiet setting with a peaceful clean pool. There is a kitchenette and coffee maker which we didn't need since we bought dinner and breakfast onsite at their little restaurant. We got a ride from the airport which was so helpful, and the uber we took to the next location arrived within minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

The owner and his family personally made sure all his guests were happy and comfortable, providing extra services. The rooms as well as the grounds were exceptionally beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms quiet, light and spacious, bathroom had an indoor and outdoor shower. The restaurant was also quite good, with a variety of good quality breakfasts, lunches and suppers as well as a couple of special dessert treats. We had the pool to ourselves in the afternoons.

The pool area was incredible, you have a large pool and smaller hot tub style pool for chilling, both were amazing. Loads of sun beds and sofa/chill areas. Loads of beautiful plants and nature on the ground of the property. This was our favourite place to stay in Costa Rica!!

Loved the garden and outside space which had many seating areas and options including couches in a covered porch, large pool with small cold pool, beds were large and extremely comfortable, location to park and restaurants was great, locked gate provided peace of mind, the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great stay of 3 nights.

Really lovely place. Clean and well appointed. Very secure parking. We didn't honestly use the facilities as we were out and about each day of our stay. The pool area is nice but probably was an over indulgence and not required based on how we actually used the hotel. Balcony was beautiful place to have breakfast. Genuinely great place. My pool comment is only about our needs rather than a judgement on it's quality!

We had a great stay at the Uvita paradise. It was perfect for our 4 day stay over Christmas. The pool area is really nice and clean. The rooms are all clean and tidy. The large bed was very comfortable. The staff are very sweet and helpful. It was quiet and relaxing but near to the beach and the bars and restaurants. We walked everywhere and didn’t use the car at all. It was a solid 8/10.

Stunning property with spectacular views. The infinity pool was just amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay! Worth every penny!

The best part by far were the gorgeous views from this facility. Also, the concierges were very helpful in arranging our time. The infinity pool and rooftop hot tubs were amazing. Nice workout equipment, too.

Our family had an incredible stay at this hotel! The breathtaking views from the infinity pool were truly memorable, and the close proximity to attractions like Flamingo beach and Marina Flamingo made our experience even more enjoyable. El Sol is a hidden paradise in Monteverde, completely immersed in nature but still close to Santa Helena community, offering all facilities you might need like an infinity pool with a stunning view over the mountains to contemplate as you watch the sunset sipping your glass of wine!! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and cute and offer their own balcony/patio amidst the flora of Monteverde. Hospitality is great at El Sol and Susanne is the proof of it. Last but not least the food at El Sol is delicious.

The slogan of El Sol is :when heaven meets earth. That’s exactly what it felt like. We had a spectacular view in the midst of the cloud forest, the meals that came to our cabin were delicious and adorned with hand picked flowers, very peaceful and serene environment with friendly staff. The infinity pool was stunning. I almost don’t want to tell any one about this amazing place so it doesn’t get too popular.

I can say enough about how wonderful this property is. Werner and Carlos are fantastic hosts who were knowledgeable about everything in the area. They helped us make reservations and pointed us in the direction of great places. The room was large and comfortable with a large soaking tub and rain shower. The deck had a beautiful view,nice pool and visiting toucans. The breakfast made by Carlos was 5 star worthy!! I highly recommend this property!

Great place. We stayed in the room with a kitchen. It was very well equipped for kooking best of all places we stayed. The dining area is small but very good with little kids. Everything is well thought off and clean. Beds are great. Nice place to sit outside with a view. Great host and tasty breakfast. Pool is good for cooling off. We enjoyed our stay. The town is nice and the drive to La Fortuna is beautifull. Host was really helpfull with helping sorting out stuff to do.

This is a great place for a night stay, we had a Saturday with bad luck of a fiesta until 2 a.m. in a large rec center close by. But the rooms are clean, new, everything you need, very well stocked, with a pool, nice balcony, swings, and breakfast is to die for. These owners really know how to lay it on you and help make your trip great with good advice.

what makes this place a gem are the wonderful hosts. They are super friendly and helpful in every way. We arrived late after a long day of travel on our way to Arenal area and were absolutely delighted to see Casa Donna. Our breakfast was spectacular (we arrived on a sweet day. I only wish we stayed 2 nights to see the savory day) with coffee that never stopped coming out on the patio with warm milk. Super clean, full of amenities like dental kit, huge beach towels for the pool, mouthwash, etc. The family hiked down the hill to a valley where we saw banana trees, birds, and all kinds of jungle foliage we hadn’t seen before. A great experience and a great start to our trip.

It was the most beautiful property we stayed in the whole of Costa Rica. The view is absolutely incredible and we saw lots of different types of bird from the pool (like toucans). Because there are only a few rooms, it feels like you almost have the place to yourself and it’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The host, Pablo, was really helpful and even gave us a lift from the town back to the property on one of the days. The sunsets are incredible from the pool!

We liked everything about La Uvita Perdida. The rooms were so comfortable and clean and the balcony looking over the ocean and jungle were spectacular. We could sit and watch the monkeys and Tucans and all the other animals and birds all day long. The communal area was also a great place to play games, read or take a dip in the plunge pool overlooking the ocean. Pablo is an amazing host who is so kind and friendly and helpful, he arranged a whale watching tour for us and horseriding along the beach. Breakfast was delicious and so expertly cooked and presented. We definitely want to come back.

La Uvita Perdida is such a gem. The views were amazing, room was nicely styled and modern, loved the little details and "customs" they had (such as a glass of wine you could have in the evening). The owner was really friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The little pool with the view and tranquility was unforgettable. The room was looking out to the jungle, and we could see a pack monkeys pass by, and also saw toucans! Breakfast was really fresh and delicious. Would love to go back one day!

Loved my stay here! Amazing views! Welcoming and tranquil environment with only a few rooms. The room was fantastic with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the jungles - perfect for monkey spotting. The small pool overlooking the jungle and ocean was a plus! Pablo, our host, was exceptional! He provided great recommendations and was very welcoming and friendly. Note that the hotel is off a gravel/dirt road so you need a sturdy car (as you do for most activities in Uvita since they are mostly on gravel roads).

Perfectly designed and equipped hillside rooms. Sea view room has 180 degree views over the sea and was amazing. Pablo so friendly, helpful and relaxed. Breakfast good and plunge pool ideal at end of day. We didn’t have a car but local taxis really good for Uvita, National Park and beach. Italian restaurant next door good. Really enjoyed our stay.

Chris and Nadia are wonderful hosts, they were there to greet us upon arrival and the check in was smooth and easy and we felt at home right away. Our place was spacious, clean, well appointed and with comfortable beds. This place is very peaceful, quiet with absolutely stunning views. We enjoyed the outdoor workout area and the infinity pool overlooking expansive mountain and ocean views. We rented a car and it was easy access to the town for any needs and you are minutes to several gorgeous beaches. We stayed here for 8 nights and made a great decision and will definitely be back.

Our stay at Horizon Lodge was delightful. The view is spectacular and can be enjoyed from nearly all areas of the property including the wonderful infinity pool and sun decks. The location is situated in a beautiful private area which is a short drive to most of the nearby towns and beaches. Our apartment provided everything we needed and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris was very responsive regarding our questions and Nadia greeted us and made us feel welcomed.

While most of the units were occupied during our stay, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Every morning we drank our coffee on the deck by the pool with beautiful views of the ocean and a few rainbows. We had the pool to ourselves whenever we used it. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage and space in the unit. I could see staying here for an extended period of time.

We really enjoyed our stay in villa Tucan. Restaurants and shops (supermarket, bakerey, etc.) can be found nearby, the centre of la Fortuna is just a few minutes by car. The garden and the pool are great: many fruit-trees, a lot of birds and the pool and jacuzzi were perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Berenice and her family did all to make our stay as nice as possible

Everything was perfect. Berenice is an awesome host. We felt very safe. The way the property is maintained is amazing. So beautiful with plants, trees and birds. You wake up the morning to birds chirping. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Very nice restaurants in walking distance.

The property was beautiful from the landscaping to the many hummingbirds right outside our door. My kids and I loved sitting on the porch and enjoyed the rocking chair and hammock in the evening while listening to the rain. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, warm shower. The pool and hot tub were wonderful after a hike or other adventures in the area. Our host Berenice was amazing!

Don't miss this special accommodation. Sleeping outside in a Coco which is kind of a tent but with high facilities, including private toilet and shower and enough room for your luggage. Super fun facilities including pool, sauna, gym , water slide and ping pong table . Delicious breakfast and incredible view in the morning. BTW roads are better, no really need for 4×4.

Really nice view. Friendly host and manageable drive from San José. It takes about 1,5 hours from San José AirPort. The infinity Pool was also really nice.

Best view in Tárcoles area. As secure as it gets with staff patrolling the neighborhood all day/night and monitoring who comes in and out. Infinity pool looking out over the ocean was a bonus. The residence is big-lots of space. We used it as a stopover from traveling from up north to our next destination further south. As such it was good.

The views are amazing, we didn't need to go to the beach because the views and the pool (that also has an amazing view) were enough. (I recommend cooking there, as going out to eat may be a little tedious.) We had a great time!

Amazing views from balcony and pool. Lovely and really spacious apartment- perfect for our family of four. Georges was such a lovely welcoming host too. We really enjoyed our stay - saw Macaws and lots of iguanas in the grounds - stunning!

Hotel in the middle of the forest. Hollow monkeys around the hotel, and other animals. Small pool and pool area, but nice. Helpful staff.

There were several breakfast options and the server (also the cook) was quite friendly. The location/grounds are beautiful, the restaurant/bar really lovely. The bartender was extremely friendly and accommodating. We didn't eat in the restaurant (just had a drink) but there were plenty of choices on the menu (which we did look at) and prices looked reasonable. The receptionist, Irene, was friendly and efficient. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean.

We felt very welcomed when we arrived at the finca. We stayed for one week and were upgraded to a superior room with a beautiful view for our stay. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff came every day. The sunrises were beautiful. Breakfast was great and the pool view was beautiful.

This was an unbelievably beautiful property! The dining area, pool side, and property are exceptional! The view from this hilltop location was great; it was breezy and pleasant even on a hot day. The staff were very kind and welcoming and the food is fabulous!! The included breakfast is wonderful and we had 2 delicious dinners as well. Great atmosphere!

The villas are located on the hill side overlooking the sea and surrounded by rain forest. The view from our villa’s deck was fantastic. The hotel has an infinity pool, with the same unbelievable view; having a cold beer as you cool off in the pool, was definitely a daily highlight. The restaurant offered a range of meals and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The villas were located separately and you were not overlooked. Due to the steepest of the approach road, suggest 4x4 car….

Beautiful resort consisting of 9 villas and restaurant with pool built on a hillside above the ocean that makes you feel like you're living in the treetops in the rainforest - lots of birds all around including toucans and other colourful species, iguanas etc. Ocean view with lovely sunsets from each villa a from the pool. Villas are spacious, with wide beds and big bathroom including outside shower. Very good breakfast and also dinners at restaurant were really tasty. Friendly staff. You can walk to the beach (Playa Hermosa).

Amazing view from the bungalows, and also from the restaurant, and pool. Quiet, nice place with birds around, between Uvita and Dominical ( on half way about), really nice and friendly staff. Very big portions of good cocktails and nice foods! :)

Amazing views and food, the staff was really helpful and kind. Ask for the top rooms there is the best view. The room is realy nice, beds really confortable. And we have seen a couple of Tucans near the pool

Overall, we enjoyed the stay. We had the family suite for 3 nights with kitchen. A very big comfortable bed, air conditioning and smart TV worked well, the pool and price were very good. On request we received a proper cutting knife, a few plates and 2 bowls. So I wouldn't call it a family suite. The wifi was very good. The pool is very large but a bit chilly.

The staff was very helpful & funny. The pool is cool, and it has a long opening hours. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are cleaned every day. Fresh towels. Very tasty breakfast. Free coffee 24/7 and charging station on reception

Nice resort with huge rooms, very clean and the most comfy bed we had in ages. Arrived late and tired, check in went smooth and fast. Breakfast available for USD 12. Pool looked nice and clean as far as we could see. Easy to reach from the airport (taxi between CAC 17'000 and 20'000) but still quiet.

Staff is very helpful and funny. We had a good time. Pool right at the doorstep. Free coffee 24/7. Smoke-free hotel. Enough save parking spaces. Cleaning every day plus fresh towels as many times as you need.

The room and the pool, the space everywhere. Also, we slept very well cause it was very quiet.
